In order to actually clean your injectors one cannot spray into the injectors. I know this is a pain, but I'm a marine mechanic, and I remove the injectors one at a time, and hook them up to a battery with a positive and negative wire. Hook up the neg wire with an alligator clamp then touch the positive wire to the injector as this will cause intermittently open the injectors. As the injector quickly opens, spray cleaner through it and this will push out any and all debris. It will also give you a clear and definite indication if the injector is clogged, partially clogged, or working as it should. I may be a woman mechanic but I'm darn good at it 😎
If you are going that far to get to the injectors, one might as well disconnect them from the fuel rail at the top also. The electrical connectors are made with wire and there is a certain way they come loose. Then the injectors will pull out of the fuel rail much like they did out of the manifold at the bottom. The O-rings can get hard in time, so that is why they may be a bit difficult to pull out. New O-rings will be softer and will assemble easier, especially with some liquid as a lubricant. Always use something on O-rings for lube when assembling. With injectors completely out they can be cleaned professionally or something similar yourself if you know how. When you get new O-rings get the brown ones if you can which are made to withstand today's alcohol fuel. 88 cents a piece for mine.
Muy buen video, muy ilustrativo. Para la próxima vez puedes llevar los inyectores a un laboratorio de inyectores a que los laven perfectamente y aprovechar todo tu trabajo plenamente. Thanks for your time and work.
Always best to remove the micro filters first and blow carb cleaner through the injector before replacing filters. Or better again, invest in an ultrasonic cleaning bath. You can buy them cheap enough these days.
To clean buy kit on eBay 20 bucks comes with everything o rings filter baskets hook up 12 volts to the injector leave one wire off hook up your carb cleaner when spraying cleaner touch the other wire so injector is working and spray tell it’s a mist not a stream! To take filter basket out use a screw size not sure them screw it gentle where it catches the basket and pull up out. Install new baskets and o rings to install on car use a little oil on the o ring and push back. Your car will love you!

Linda Curtis which is the negative and positive?
woman or not, you're either a mechanic or not.
@@quartznation9499 it doesn't matter. I just cleaned my two vanos and used a 9v battery to do the same trick. Linda Curtis is a rockstar!!!
can you do this when your car was just on like an hour ago? Or does one have to wait for the engine to be completely cold
@@quartznation9499 It doesn't have to identify positive and negative pin in testing with a 9 Volt battery, and will work either way.

i am assuming that on n52 engines you don't have to code in .... or at list in the impa software i have the option dose not show up ?
if you know enything about it let me know
I didn't change the injectors so no coding was required.
Can I use lucas deep clean gdi spray to clean with?
Mark, thank you for your video! My manifold wasn't budging and I really like your ball joint remover as a persuader and will give it a go!

Was there any performance improvement?
unless you tip the car upside down LOL
do you know the size of the filter in this injector? Ten small mesh filters. N46
What's up with the light.

What a useless post. Took all that effort to write the beautiful explanation but never posted the link to this “cleaning kit”
@@TheSponge945 he probably forgot. But now I bet he won't post it!
Can I use brake klean spray instead?
I don’t know the ingredients of your brake clean but I believe they are a lot harsher
That's a dodgy job you've done there, mate...and with that pry bar.... :)))
