Absolutely!! I'm very thankful to be able to take care if this stuff myself! My wife was late to work, but was able to get there and didn't take a week in a shop and saved at least a couple hundred dollars!
The manifold wasn't in the way. Are you talking the intake/air plenum? If I had to do the backside I definitely would have. It would have been more time to remove the intake manifold than it was worth to me 😆 Also, the only time I've had to do this

Just pull the fuel relay or fuel pump fuse, run it til it dies and then you have no pressure.
