Local shop said 758.71 plus tax, I thought a little high...watched your video 7 times, easy peasy mkx running like new. Many thanks , 100 buck injectors and intake gaskets hr n half time.
For anyone watching this in the future. Be sure to release the fuel pressure in the lines before disassembling parts. He didn't explain it in the beginning of the video, but it'll be best to do this first before anything else.
Don't unbolt the throttle body from the upper intake. Just take the bracket bolt that is below it, out. The throttle body will come off with the upper intake. Also, If you can, use a blow gun and compressed air to blow dirt and debris off from on and around the upper intake before unbolting it. Place a piece of cardboard cut to fit over the top of the intake ports to keep stuff from falling in there.
I just replaced a fuel injector on my grandmas 2010 fusion 3.5L; had CEL for P0201 “injector circuit open” “cylinder 1” I was able to tear into her engine by following this video, and had the #1 injector replaced iand put back together in 3.5 hours. Word of advice they don’t mention it in this video but before you do anything, pull your fuel pump relay fuse and crank the engine to relieve the pressure. Also disconnect the negative battery terminal
Thanks for the video. Just used this instruction to guide me through a successful replacement. . One difference in my experience is that the injectors would not come out from their sockets. Had to leave them in place and disconnect them from the rail. The residual gas left in the fuel rail was easily soaked up by paper towels.
Want to take a few minutes to Thank You! for this video. It not only gave me the courage to tackle this project myself but, also made the job easier to do. In my case I have a 2008 Ford Edge. It's slightly different (no pressure release valve on fuel rail) but, still was a big help. I replaced all 6 of the injectors even though the #5 was the problem. Well done and again a big THANK YOU!
This is why i miss my old 2002 Mazda P5. Car was so much simpler to work on. In the 11-12 years i had it only needed a thermostat, maf sensor needed to be cleaned once and towards the end i replaced 2 ignition coils at $20 a pop and it took 10 min to do. Since i got the lincon had to replace the transmission and now this fuel injector and i keep hearing about the water pump possibly going out.
One thing I'd suggest dip each injector in a bit of gasoline for easy insert I tore my car down twice second time the gas trick is what worked because the first time the injectors were not in properly.
Ok, I’m at the 6:10 mark where you take an obvious pause and then say, “now you go ahead and remove the bolts…” I can’t seem to get the bolts out. They get loose and just spin. All except the bolt on the top of the manifold. It came right out. I’ve looked all over for a solution like- “when it is loose and spins freely, turn it - to the right until it lets go completely” or something similar but I’m stuck here with no idea what to do. Can anyone help please??
Can a bad fuel injector dump fuel into the intake? I’ve noticed fuel dripping from the cylinder one injector. My wife Ford Flex had a blinking check engine light with the code PO301 misfiring.
I just changed my injectors car runs perfect but now hard to start any ideas? Originally was misfire #2 cylinder replaced plugs and ignition coils still got the misfire code but starts without issue. Now don’t have a misfire car runs great but hard to start cranks a few extra times now.

What is the special tool you need to release the pressure on the fuel line? He said don't do it if you don't have the special tool but didn't say what it was...
Hi would I get an engine light if anything is wrong with the fuel injector? I’m because, my 2010 Ford Edge hesitates and jerks between 55 MPH and stabilize at 70 MPH. This is after changing coils, spark plugs, air filter and cleaning the throttle body. I don’t get any engine lights on my instrument panel.

Hello all! I have replaced fuel injectors of my Fusion 3.0L V6 twice, and both times the pressure regulator of the fuel pump throttle has failed, causing long starts when the engine is warm. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened to the pressure regulator to fail? Is there a secret trick to depressurizing the fuel line or re-pressurizing it before starting the engine?
I have a 2013 Ford Taurus with a code p0430 check engine light turns off then few days later it comes back on again with the sale code any idea what is causing it to do that ??
It’s your oxygen sensors after the catalytic converters that aren’t reading correctly. I had this issue on my SHO. Just replace the sensors, run for a bit and you should be good. Hope this helps
I have codes 420 and 430 and on a cold start I got cylinder 4 misfire. I'm wondering if injector 4 is bad which ruined my cats I'm also getting bad mpg
I have ford edge 2011. Sometimes, wrench warning appears along with engine fault, engine decreases speed and despite pressing accelerator car reduces speed and then starts jerking... Seems like it's some sort of engine missfiring.. I got all plugs replaced, throttle body cleaned but problem still persists... It happens on low speed by the way. Need someone to kindly share a solution... I m thinking to get fuel injectors checked, repaired or replaced but will it eliminate the issue?.
Sound like an o2 sensor, usually the most common problem with those engines, use an obd2 reader and it should tell you exactly which needs to be replaced
I had a P303 reading on the fault reader. In this case Cylinder 3 was misfiring. It could be the spark plug, the coil, fuel injector, or a vacuum leak. Mine was the coil.
