I just needed the transparent feel to it, I'm in my first week of Blender. Wanted to make my windows be more like glass. Settings just the same, I lowered the roughness and upped the transmission, but my sphere to preview what I wanted didn't seem as glossy as yours, but could still see some reflectivity on the edges of it. I worked a lot in render mode, once I figured out how to add a few colors in. But my windows I had altered, only had reflectivity in material mode. Render mode I was in was set to Eevee, and once I changed it to Cycles, it was exactly what I wanted. Thanks. Right now it's the small steps lol
One of my favorite parts of tutorials like this is watching mundane items get set up like a super model during a photo shoot. "Yeeees, let's see that transparency, honey! Oh you're doing fantastic! Let's get another light over here to really show off that light transmission! Beautiful!"
This one is hard for me,I struggled a lot at the subdivision bit,Even worse the video is not beginner friendly,The tutorial feels too fast paced and people can't keep up that easy All I'm trying to say is that your video isn't bad it's just that it's not appropriate for beginners in my opinion as it gets confusing
Your Glass looks wonderful, but it doesn't work for me - The preview just shows a glossy black or grey orb. A Blender-Book describes: Material Properties->... ...base color: any ...Alpha: 0,2 ...Blend Mode: Alpha blend not so pretty but it works

This is exactly the video I was looking for. I didn't like to spend 6 hours on a donut, when that could be done in 10-15 min. Awesome content give me more like this! :D

I recommend using the Glass BSDF instead of Principled BSDF.
The result in the tutorial is very different to the intro image and not nearly as good.
your background music makes me think someone is dying in a movie. 😂
