MCN videos are getting way better now days. I watched the whole 8 minutes not knowing it was in 480p coz it looked really good. Then I switched to 1080p to watch it again because I had to... Love the new DUCATI...eFFing beautiful.
I can honestly say that bike, review, presenter and HD camera work all combined made one of the best, freshest and most enjoyable pieces of video work I have seen in a review on TH-cam to date.
there is a guy living next to me and he just brought 1199 panigale for 25 grand...:O every day when he start it up all my windows and entire house start to shake and it feels like earthquake and when i was standing to it all my body were vibrate like i was in epicentre of eartquake...so powerful sound!!!!
Get me some of that!! And, not that Michael didn't do a good job, it's just the new production values from Ian take the videos to a new level!! Great stuff, keep the vids coming.
what a fantastic bike, ducati have bought the racetrack onto the road with this bike, it gives you all the best of the 1198 with so much more, it will be hard to go by for motorcycle of the year
MCN is doing a grand job with their videos. Great shots, great audio and great editing. The report was also good covering most of the huge innovations included. The Panigale looks fantastic. A nice incentive to work hard and save!

I always have a seat height issue with Ducs. But when I went to the showroom, I don't have any with this bike. The monocoque chassis is so SLIM and LIGHT it is way easier to lift than an R1, and I can put both feet down! Cancelling my plans to get a gsxr, and save up some more for this one. This bike is packed with more tech than you can even imagine. TFT display, magnesium engine parts, engine as stressed member, sick allow rims, and an OVER OVER-bore V-twin that makes HP like an inline-4.
The superbike rules have always been adjusted to make V-twins viable, to keep the power / weight on an equivalent level. But this still meant that twins had to run a more tuned motor making the bikes too expensive for lesser teams so the rules allowed a higher capacity but with less tuning which is what we have had for a few years now. The ducati is still slower on straits yet wins on tighter tracks which is due to chassis / engine characteristics and neither of those things are due to rules.
how some bloke could call this bike unattractive is beyond words.. This bike has just re set the goalposts.. Its mindblowingly gorgeous!! sorry aprilia but your now second on my wishlist!!!
With the quality of these videos now it's almost a rival for top gear. hey I'd watch a show about bikes, made by people who are as passionate about bikes as I am for sure. Thumbs up if you agree.
wow...excellent film for a truly stunning bike. Just looking at this bike gives me the same feeling as when I first saw the Ferrari 458 italia, Italian passion with performance
LED lights don't stay on, they blink at a very very high frequency. cameras record at frames per second, so at some of those frames the camera is record happens to coincide with the LED being off at that exact split second of a moment. So on videos, we see LED lights blinking. our eyes only see at 26 frames per second but cameras (especially modern day pro cameras) record at much higher than 26, they catch things our eyes don't.
Oh man. Don't get me wrong, i love the 675 but it's not even on the same page with panigale. I'd go as far as saying panigale is the best looking 2000< bike. The swingarm is magnificent. The tail is BEATIFUL. The headlights look mean as hell, the whole bike is a damn piece of art.
@faos87 there is an option for it to be a two seater,however without the second seat you can get something callled the "aero kit" which sleeks down the back of the bike a bit and improves the aerodynamics etc..
@dalesalsa The WSB adjudicators have very strict rules for the displacement advantage. WSB is meant to be production class bike not prototypes. I think the production market should drive it as it does

The bike looks sick; however the low range RPM's lack power. I bought the 1199 (base) drove it five miles and took it back. It's a straight up race bike, and not even close to comfortable to ride a short distance for a tall person(6'5"). The BMW 1000RR is sick, I rode it at the dealer when looking to swap. I ended up purchasing the Ducati Diavel because of comfort, speed and handling for a very unique bike (not nearly as sexy as the 1199) but ridiculous for a sport cruiser. 0-60 in 2.5secs
Um, yes. It is the bike...you're not talking about some throttle jokey, you're talking about the Dr. Rossi and as much as people would like to paint a bad picture about him being old or past his prime, I think he'll shock all the haters sooner than later. He's an unbelievable development rider and I'm sure Ducati will get their act together with him on the team...

Nice review. There is one thing that bugs me though. . Since I saw the first pics I haven't been able to decide if I like the bike or not.. it looks a bit odd to me.. the front is nice, the back is nice but something just seems off... maybe it'll grow on me. Aesthetics aside, it must be a crazy bike to take for a spin! I was also surprised about the linked brakes. My Blackbird has them and people seem to dislike them in general. I'm guessing these are electronically linked though..
i really like my 848 on track and st4s on road. i would be happy to chop these in and settle for the base model and save £5k (just get the standard suspension set up). great video

@TugarRider747 that IS a killer angle! i cant tell if its maybe an extension off the helmet hangin a bit in front with maybe a swivel, or even another rider/cam just in front of him
Ducati are the most successful superbike manufacturers in the history of superbike racing, they know how to make a superbike!! That being said, they don't seem to transfer that success to the prototype but of course this isn't a prototype, it is a superbike!
Very nice vid of a fantastic looking and sounding bike! But why all this electronic aids like traction control and electronic engine braking etc. It just feels like all new superbikes aren't superbikes anymore...

I wish I'd been able to take the Panigale on the track when we tested it here in Australia. It just didn't seem right riding it on the road
