all the top superbikes are amazing. If you like Ducati, you love Ducati. It's really a matter of feel. How does the bike make you feel? There is a bike out there for everyone.
i have a 998, believe me when i say that the panigale is NOT so japanese at all ! if you ever have the possibility to watch it closly you'll understand that there is not a single other bike on the market like that! i drove it and it's really fun to drive ! ciao
That midrange is not gone. People just got spoiled by the monster midrange that the 1098/1198 produced. Not to mention an old tradition of insane midrange by all ducati bikes in the last decade or two. Seems like Ducati tried something different with the Panigale. But with all the complaints they're receiving with the midrange now being gone, I wouldn't be surprised if the Panigale is the first and last bike Ducati builds without supernatural midrange.
yea. I was in traffic at a D.U.I. check point it took 20 minutes waiting for the check point at idle. the rear pipe was heating up my legs hot, but the bike was not so hot the radiator temp was showing 230 degre's farenhit. The cop said for me to turn it off which i did at its hottest. After the cop was done with the check point the bike restarted up no problem. The heat from the rear was hot but what do you expect on a race bike. good leathers and proper boots should not be a problem with O.H.
Funny how they make it sound like it's a comfortable bike as all the other reviews conclude that the seat is just awfull and it's creates great pressure on the wrists aswell.
It may be the "Ultimate Sports Bike", and there is no doubt it's a desirable machine for weekend scratching and posing, but is it worth the price? Myself personally i'm not sure, mainly because it's so narrow focussed? I've had sports bikes in the past, and apart from going fast, they weren't good for much else? For "Senior Motorcyclist's" such as myself, comfort and tractability is more important, hence I now own a Harley. I'm not saying Harley's are the best thing ever invented, because they are not, but there is something about them, that I have yet to experience in anything else? Personal experience is what it's all about really.
The Soft-Tail was the second Harley I owned, and frankly a disappointment. I owned a 99 88 cube Electra Glyde Standard before the Soft-Tail, and honestly, it was a better bike. More comfortable, better handling, and no slower. I doubt I would buy another one though, especially now I am enjoying my Hayabusa so much?
Funny you talk about posing and you own a harly more people pose on a harly than a anything else now there are people who don't and I assume your not one of them but yeah harly is the ultimate posers bike
It is good looking but imho only from the right hand side. The other side looks messy, with a big ugly swingarm, shock and other gubbins sticking out and no trellis frame to set it off. Make sure your mates only look at the side with the wheel on show!
Why a lightweight 164 kilo Duc, with that rider on top it comes at a bloody 300 kilo total. In fact the same figures when I started cycling on my CB900 Bol'dor ages ago.
I have no doubt that he is a better rider, as a matter of fact i'm only 16 :L, but let's not ignore the fact that he's clearly not the slimmest rider out there. Either way productive or not I can still say whatever i want :P
I love, 998, and the 999, it's about passion. looking better to Panigale she has some lines of 998, but has some japanese lines to, look at R1 in the line just after the fork, and line o the head lights it's look the same, with just a feel change of proportionthe top row is almost identical, the only difference is that R1 in the tank has two ends and another one in the middle and at the beginning of the tank behind the handlebars. but yes Panigale Rocks in performance
Um.. whaaat? MotoGP is all about prototypes. They build THE absolute fastest bikes possible for the purpose of winning, but also the tech in GP bikes eventually trickle down to production bikes years later. With that said, companies that tend to do well (e.g. honda, yamaha) are ones with big checks to write. Ducati is a smaller company. Still, Stoner won on the Ducati don't forget that. While they may lose to bigger companies in MotoGP, Ducati are/were very successful in SBK
Lol what are you on about? Just coz I don't have one doesn't mean I havnt had one or ridden one FFs. Didn't expect you to think about that. Besides all the points I made do not require me to have ever ridden one or seen one in the flesh!
Lack of objectivity... what about the Aprilia or the BMW?!?... According to some they are better than the Panigale... that said I do agree on the fact that none of us is able to take advantage of 100% of any of those bikes... otherwise we would all be in the World Superbike champioship competing for the title! :-)
Ducati has never been advertising the truth imo, their 848 claims 140bhp at the crank but we've seen japanese 600 being faster on the straights. The 1199 with 195bhp and 188kg wet is 2bhp and almost 20kg lighter than the bmw, is way slower than the bmw on straights.
Its a good bike, and im not going to compare it to the S1KRR, the only issue i found with it, is the heat from the engine! In traffic, its a good bike if you want your testicles fried!
The best electronic package ever experienced? False The most anticipated bike of 2012 False Ducati have a history of telling the truth? TRUE Ducati have a history of giving you real stats and figures? TRUE Mid Range gone top end makes your ears bleed? TRUE Explain how the electronic suspension works? You didnt explain anything, you just said it has sticking out bits and its electronically manageable!!!! So the bike forces you to push your limits, but you need to be Troy to be able to push this bike to the top limits, that's a contradiction of statement. I don't think you are thinking about what you are saying with thought process or correct adjudication. You will not go quicker on any other machine? Jeez mate, you really over kill your videos and you really don't think about what you are sayings. A man with your experience and knowledge could put facts to paper first and think about things. 2 more facts The bike sounds still like its a tractor, the sound id awful. People have been complaining about the sound for Years, and its nothing to do with a love/hate Ducati person. 2nd Fact, the BMW S1000 RR is a better bike for electronics handling and forgiving or if you want to ride like you stolen it. The BMW S100RR is a better bilke by MILES! A think you are a Ducati lover, and you overkill it in all your Ducati reviews. So is this video about you or are you doing this for the masses to help people? If its for you give up and do everyone a favor and stop wasting people time with bolshy verbal of the cuff facts that are not real
yes the bmws1000rr is better until the engine explodes like it has been doing....got conrods??? So what if you think it sounds like a tractor, it doesnt actually, and ducati hasnt changed it because it doesnt need changed and hasnt stopped thousands and thousands of people buying it. If bmw were so great they would have a motogp bike, instead of selling engines to the teams that explode. Ducati have the best racing pedigree out of any manufacturer and have the most race wins FACT....so cant be all bad? dont think you know as much as you try and claim lol. And btw, I dont even have a Ducati.
Urbano Motor I personally like the way they sound. Has a nice tone unique to it... Hence your "2 more facts" went down to 1. Second, at the time of this Video... its pretty much a given the 2012 s1000rr was easily one of the worst bikes to date. While it was a marvel... it was easily one the least reliable bikes and had the most substantial recall to date. Lastly, BMW finished what place in Phillip island? Oh what's that? 16th?!?! Lol BMW finished one spot above Aaron Yates .... A bike thats seeing this track for the 1st time with a driver whose never raced on it... BMW is soooooo grand..... I am actually getting a s1krr but people like you are hopeless.
Texarmageddon he is talking out of his ass...he is one of those who ride ME TOO types inline 4 (although i like them ) but most of these Inline 4 bike riders just cant bring the best out of a v twin or even v4..so all they do is moan
true, it was pushed aside by the s1000rr soon after debut, and then the r1s the next year...the 1299 was an even better bike but neither won universal accolades. Just goes to show how tough the ubersport bike market is. I like the 1199, it's nice and quick, geared shorter than most sportbikes and the midrange "hole" is really a pinprick in the lower gears....but that big tire just hobbles the handling and the 899 is really a better balanced bike, better overall. Just doesn't jump out of the blocks like the 1199 does.
all the top superbikes are amazing. If you like Ducati, you love Ducati. It's really a matter of feel. How does the bike make you feel? There is a bike out there for everyone.

"these monoclocks...they would stop the rotation of the Earth..' hahahahhaa, amazing!
That midrange is not gone. People just got spoiled by the monster midrange that the 1098/1198 produced. Not to mention an old tradition of insane midrange by all ducati bikes in the last decade or two.

Good review im doing One soon on rebuild 1199 with only 1600 miles
Wow. Biggest sportsbike rider I´ve ever seen lol ^^
I have an 1199s, 1098, and 748s. The 1199 is more comfortable than the 748, but the 1098 is way more comfortable than the 1199.
Great commercial.
Bang for the buck...is it better than the S1000RR for the canyon carving, occasional track day street rider?
Others have complained about engine heat problems. Not with yours?
Funny thing is....this guy is still 10 times faster then you will ever be on any Track of this World. Even if u cut him 20 bhp more ;-)
Surprised to see him say the mosty anticipated bike of the last decade. Realistically the Desmosedici takes that title and then the BMW S1RR.
i heard the dyno numbers arnt as high as claimed. im sure its still a weapon though. looks the business, and i want one.
Ducati advertising, that's all this was.
That is because raw power is not everything! Remember, before a straight there is a corner. That is what my father always told me in Karting.
Funny how they make it sound like it's a comfortable bike as all the other reviews conclude that the seat is just awfull and it's creates great pressure on the wrists aswell.
Just to make sure that the bike strong enough to pick big people :)
Ducati's v-twin is best on a track going through corners rather than going straight.
I would have thought the BMW was the most highly anticipated motorcycle...
Where's the HD version, mate?
you guys need HD videos! Keep up the good work tho!
It's the new district 9 weapon.
Hahaha the brakes will stop the rotation of the earth: Epic score: 10+
wonderful machine
Is it a V Twin or an L Twin ~ What's the correct terminology?
That fellers pretty tubby for racing sport bikes, Never usually see portly riders in this class or any class of motorcycle racing???
I like this guy. Gonna have to subscribe.

it takes over from the 1198 actually.......
In loving this motorcycle!!!!
Why a lightweight 164 kilo Duc, with that rider on top it comes at a bloody 300 kilo total. In fact the same figures when I started cycling on my CB900 Bol'dor ages ago.
why did they not mention its an r ? their 38 in my country to the normal versions 20 . quitte a bit of difference in parts i would say
It's not an 'R', it's an 'S', and if we forgot to mention that fact then we apologise. Our mistake.
The Bike Show aha , well , your testvideos did what they were made for . i went to the shop today and bought one . getn it tomorrow , thanks guys
maybe i could afford a used one in about 30 years or so ? OMG ! What if they go up in value ?
wow...only 360p
I have no doubt that he is a better rider, as a matter of fact i'm only 16 :L, but let's not ignore the fact that he's clearly not the slimmest rider out there. Either way productive or not I can still say whatever i want :P

Superb bike, not to excited on the price though..
I like that white helmet
When we were in 2012 South Africa was In 1999
Love your own but its not competitive enough:)
Um.. whaaat?

maybe if I had this bike, the people would love me for who I am!
No its not. The S1k is more comfy but perhaps not as fun in town (engine sound more anodyne, not as characterfilled as a Ducati round town)
Who is the large bloke ?? Should be playing rugby front row in my opinion
thats awesome mate!LOL
ITT: Body conscious squids.
Only cost $30k too!
my computer could not handle more, so it's fine for me :D
I still pick my nose! Hard to do with a helmet on though....
So is ducati like ferrari for motorcycle? Noob watching ducati video here.
he couldn't lose weight so the Ducati decided to lose weight on the bike and make it lighter
delicious low res

THATS ALL DUCATI SUPERBIKES! THEY ARE NOT FOR THE STREET!!!
2024, street fighter 😝
yes.
Um no. They won't go up in value and you don't have to wait 30 years.
amazing ;)

Appreciate the bike not the guy.
From italian motor passion...
Would rather have a hp4
Those stats are total marketing bullshit, real hp figure is closer to 170
I want this bike!!! XD
Donavan wants to lose a bit of weight if he is going racing :p
@timeforachange12 Ok good for u :)
I was thinking the same thing. "Poor bike"
i watched it in 144
Still slower than a RS4 or a S1000RR
Its a good bike, and im not going to compare it to the S1KRR, the only issue i found with it, is the heat from the engine! In traffic, its a good bike if you want your testicles fried!
haha the guy who rides it just dooubles the weight of the panigale
Rsv4's traction control kills Ducati's
everything they said about the riding position is complete bullshit!!!!! I swear these guys are paid like crazy from ducati
hay v~
Mmm over hyped or what. Its dismal showing in virtually every shoot out would suggest this bike is not greatest thing since sliced bread
Bunch of posers
some say those 749 and 999 were the ugliest Ducati's ever made .
if he lost some weight he might go faster
Stop covering the bike! I cant see shit!!
He is old. leave him alone!
He shoulda bought a bycycle instead, to help him loose weight...
so does the overweight
junk
