    I installed my HydrosPlus kit last spring. It works great and Kevin is also great to work with!

    Welcome to the HydrosPlus upgrade. Had my 9.5 gpm installed for about 6 months. You will love it. At the end Kevin stated he liked the Knipex pliers. I ordered a set last week and will give them a try. Thanks.

    Installed my 9.5 pump system last spring and mostly take advantage of how much it improved the functions of my backhoe. Tim and Kevin did a nice video showing the improvements in function. The higher flow rate allows you to move multiple functions on the backhoe at the same time. The stock pump only allows just one function to move at a time. It also performs each function just a bit faster, and the whole backhoe operation becomes second nature since you don't have to stop and think about using each function.
    When you combine the Hydrosplus 9.5gpm kit with the Summit rear remotes system, you have a killer combination! Now, if Tim would just push harder to get the turbo kit into production and available to the public,............!!!

    Very interesting Tim, glad to see the factory couplers, hoses, and hydraulic manifolds are not restricting flow much at such a high flow rate. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

    Thank you again you have named tractor X correctly most tractor owners dream of modifying their tractor to be able to get more out of the tractor in able to do more with their tractor. Most owners don’t have the knowledge and information to be able to do safe and proper modifications. I look forward to seeing what your videos show us and have branched out and watch other YOU TUBE TUBE channels through your videos. Keep up the great work.

    Knipex plyers are amazing.. one of the best kept trade secrets! You should mention how large of tractor you would have to get from JD to get equivalent flow. Just so people have a frame of reference.

    Tim, you are the 1025R MAN. No doubt about it. Since you got Johnny-X home I've been waiting for Kevin to show up with a new bigger pump. You didn't show it and maybe Kevin does on his channel but how do you know when you have enough flow to the steering? Trial and error? Thank you for taking the time to create this video and having Kevin there. And you do a pretty good job of explaining the why's and how's things work.

      Tim you are really getting" Johnny X" dialed in! The original 1025r was an ok "little tractor" but now it's a Super- little-big Tractor! Not every body could be trusted with all them "Power-Goodys". I like that John-Deere "mounted" the hydraulic pump on the transmission instead of "slapping " a hydraulic pump on a sidewinder gear of the fuel injection pump like SO MANY tractor manufactures do. A Realy Kool vidio Tim & Company. Always like your caption on the end of the vidios. GBWY.

    Tim, I passed by your fathers farm on Monday going to a farm auction I’ll leave nameless for your families privacy. Couldn’t help but admire the way your dad laid that yard out, it just seemed to make sense. I have always enjoyed the farm videos and hope to see more. Maybe a farm history video showing what your family has built up would be a neat video?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Sam. Some of the ‘history’ is kinda painful, so it is hard to talk through it.
      Like everyone, the story is not all positive.
      That auction is where I bought the stolen tractor :-(.

      @@TractorTimewithTim I remember those videos, it’s part of the reason why we made it a social event more than a buying event.
      I understand not all stories are pretty all to well. When I was growing up my family had a “family” farm. But when I wanted to start farming I had to start from scratch. It’s been a rocky road with lots of rough patches but I feel it’s made me stronger.
      One thing I’ve always admired is how well all the generations of your family have been able to get along. That is really something special.

    I want to see how the backhoe runs with the added flow. I bet it comes to life with the added flow. Are you adjusting pressure as well?

    • @robertbunch8362
      @robertbunch8362 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Tim and Kevin did a video a while ago with the higher flow rate running the backhoe. Yes, it GREATLY improves the backhoe's function. I have the 9.5gpm system on my machine and it makes the backhoe a lot more fun, and much faster to use. I also bumped my pressure up to 2100psi from a stock 1850psi. I see that improvement mostly on how much the loader can lift. Kinda hard to get a feel in difference on the backhoe.
      Kevin's website shows you how to adjust the system pressure.

    This pump and the adjustable flow divider would be great for operating implements like a hydraulic post auger, where you could divert most all the flow to the auger since you’re not really moving while operating.

    Well done guys! There will always be challenges with performance enhancements. Finding the correct engineering balance between longevity, efficiency and increasing the performance envelope is always a challenge. It's what inventors/creators/dreamers have done throughout history to challenge the status quo (market dominator's) and bring better products to the marketplace. Ask NASCAR, NASA, Space -X, NHRA, etc. Don't despise small beginnings. Someone is always watching, though they might say they aren't! LOL! Keep it up with Johnny X!

    Good morning. I came across your video in the past where you were double stacking round bales with Johnny. Did you have any upgrades on the tractor at that time? Additionally, what is the main purpose of increasing your flow rate? Is it to get more lift capacity and power for your implements? Thanks!

    • @carlstrohm3785
      @carlstrohm3785 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Increased flow only speeds the operation of the implements, it does NOT make them "stronger". To get more "strength" you need more pressure. I believe in the near future we will see Tim increase the pressure on his system, likely with before and after tests that will help answer your question.

  • @MarkEagleUSA
    @MarkEagleUSA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another awesome HydrosPlus upgrade!
    Just wondering about inherent flow restriction on the 1025R. As mentioned in the video, the Summit kit is not designed to handle the increased flow. What about the stock plumbing, 3rd function , etc? Are we reaching a "breaking point" where problems may occur?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think we are close to the limits. There will be no ‘breakage’, but heat would be the first symptom.

      @barelystablefarm7151 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TractorTimewithTim Yes, overheating on a 100 degree day would be my primary concern as the cooling system capacity is not being increased as well.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes. What we are seeing is that the oil cooling system has been over designed (like most stuff on Deere machines).
      The summit valve brings its own cooling so to speak. Aluminum block dissipates heat.

    Hi Tim. Looking forward to meeting you at the NFMS in February. We will be coming all the way from Wisconsin to see the show and network with you and others. I am starting to make videos to start my you tube channel and would be open to any and all advice you would give a newby. What do you use for go pro mounts for your tractor and other places? Magnet, suction cup? Where did you get them? Thank you

    I am LOVING this series! Also, remain a fan of "X", although "XT" wouldn't be bad either? Mostly, I just can't wait to see this beast out in the field!!! Keep 'em coming...
    P.S. Nice job on the thumbnail 👌 👍

      Need to save "T" for the tracked model.

    Please excuse my ignorance as I am a newbie. At what point do you worry about blowing seals and damaging hydraulic cylinders?

      Additional flow should have no impact. Maybe more heat…we think oil cooler is sufficiently over designed to handle it.

      Most hydraulic equipment is designed for a minimum working pressure of 3000psi, and the 1025r book says to set it's system pressure to 1990psi. Many of us have bumped it up to 2100-2300psi for more loader lifting power and backhoe breakout force. If anything in the system fails or leaks, it was faulty to begin with. "Working" values always carry a safety/reliability margin.

    Think you'll need a cooler now?
