It does help to adjust your trunk springs & you should also remove the harness holder that's furthest towards the front of the driver trunk lift. It helps avoid stress and stretching the harness while preventing chaffing.
I did, yeah.. lol im embarrassed to say that there were a lot of drill slips. i went back in with touch up paint and cleaned everything up off camera. No exposed metal! I use Dr. Color Chip and cant rec them enough for s2000 touch up paint.
@@zaahidrahman excellent I just noticed you didn’t address it I only saw the one chip and wanted to make sure you did as well. You didn’t say anything and I was like he seems particular to not have noticed that. :)
i reference the images in this s2ki thread but in all honesty, i just ball parked it. www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-cr-club-racer-edition-279/cr-wing-install-non-cr-trunk-lid-1175816/ the way these parts are designed, it doesnt have to be exact to do it's job. I'm sure there is optimal placement (which I think we achieved in our video) but if you're off by a few millimeters on the trunk stoppers im sure you'll be fine.
Man after watching this video you got me seriously thinking if I should add this to my Mugen wing/trunk combo. My initial research swore it wasn't needed though.
Based on feedback from other owners i dont think its necessary unless you plan on tracking your car. With spirited street driving you should be fine lol
Hmmm good question. Personally i like the mugen wing more. Its a bit more subdued and street oriented imo. The cr wing is much bigger in comparison. you kind of need the rest of the aero to balance it out. The cr wing is also more of a commitment with how it mounts. That being said cant go wrong with either, id gladly take both lol.
@@zaahidrahman Yeah I agree. They're both solid. I can see CR/Type S wing being more aero dynamic potentially but at the cost of being larger (big wang gang?). Also agreed on mounting. Thinking about grabbing one soon before they're discontinued and are 5k in 2027.
Its a 10 inch flexible extension for any drill. Not sure if it was the best tool for the job it got it done. The issue is getting the bit in the right spot and straight. The extension helps a bit
Where did you order these parts? I tried ordering everything in your description a couple of months ago from Majestic Honda and they said they were all discontinued.
@@zaahidrahman My ap1 2002, after putting 74827-S2A-A00 Stopper, the trunk won't close leaving a big gap, Should I replace the original two stopper with the new ones? Cuz I see these are thicker than the original ones already on the lid.
@@zaahidrahman it pains me but then to see the whole area taped later in video. Cool video tho Just ordered my pieces to install hoping my wing on wing idea works. Hahahaha!

Another tip is spray the paint into a bottle cap and use a Q-tip to apply the paint to the holes.
Great tip! Wouldve been much much cleaner 😂
Did you use the Honda touch up paint on the left trunk lip that got damaged from the drill slip?

@@XboxAlive hahah good looking out, dude!
clean install! love how solid the trunk sounds when you slam it shut with all the added bracing haha
Yup! A surprisingly easy and preventative install. Asmr trunk closing sounds video next 😂
Very good 👍🏻. How did you know where to place the parts exactly without a blueprint or measurements? Thank you

Were all the holes drilled to 3/16"? Thanks for the video tutorial!
so its perfectly fine to put these parts on after adding the big wang?
Good video! I can see this being beneficial for folks with or w/o the wings
Thanks, man! Yeah, i agree! Extra bracing never hurts
yeah agree, really can't hurt and extra support is never a bad thing
Great video! Do you think this mod will be necessary for a big voltex wing but the car won’t be tracked at all? Maybe some spirited driving.
I would definitely do this bracing if running a big wang!
