Yum Stacey, these are awesome recipes. I’ll make some of these for my daughter, I think she would love them. Her children destroy all the dressings she has and she always has such a lot in her fridge that I think they wouldn’t be able to destroy them as she could just make a certain amount up. She wont make anything like this as she says it’s more convenient to buy them already made. She drives me nutty saying stuff like that cos I swear it would save her lots of money. Thanks for your video Stacey, see you in the next one. That is just like all the flavoured coffee powders she buys, nits so easy to make your own.
I just found your channel. I'm from Kansas in the U.S. I love your accent! I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos. I'm glad to have found your videos!! 🎉🎉🎉
Still making my way through your videos. I sometimes fast forward other people's videos but never yours 😊. Am loving all I've seen and looking forward to watching the others. I used to preserve, make jam pickles etc as well as baking bread and cakes. Had a wonderful veg garden, as did my dad before me. I really miss having that, the weather in UK makes veg gardening hard if you don't have a greenhouse. Your videos bring back so many memories of kiwi life, thank you so much for the effort you put into your content.
I found your channel two days ago, better late than never.😊 As a Kiwi living in Australia I really appreciate that 'I made it myself' touch. When you buy a pre packed mix not only is it costly but its never personalised to taste either. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. ❤
Hello, or should I say Howdy. I would love to see Texas one day! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! It's amazing what you can make with basic home ingredients.
I am binge watching all your videos, just found you a couple of days ago, sent the 55 meals for $50 video to my niece who is a uni student. I just love your channel!!
Omg thankyou Stacey you are awesome, I had the ranch and everything but the bagel gifted from whanau in the USA many moons ago and have searched TH-cam for recipes for ever lol and to have you here local with local ingredients is such a blessing. Can't wait to make them and a good taco/nacho/lasagne/ spag bol seasoning is a must in our whare, so exciting to have all these in one local video. Love it thankyou ❤❤
Thank you for these recipes. I also live in New Zealand. I am going to make them this weekend. Yeah bulk buying is the way to go. It goes a long way. And so much cheaper than the individual pkts, boxes or spice jars.
I make most of my own mixes. I do ranch without milk powder as I am dairy free. To get the tang of buttermilk you could add a bit of vinegar when you make the dressing. I also skip chilies as my partner is allergic. Another lovely video. Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
Oooh such great ideas thank you again 😊 You've already inspired me to bake in bulk. Next im going to get into buying bulk dried seasonings and will have to give these a go. Also, it is just so comforting to watch your videos ❤️
I've tried to get buttermilk powder here in Australia and had no luck thanks for the powdered milk idea and thanks to the person who gave the tip about the vinegar im going to make some now ❤
Just feel that the universe (facebook comments about steam canning😉) has sent me to your videos at the perfect time. They seem to cover all the things I have been wondering about in the last few weeks. Bought dill lastweek to make ranch then had to stop because of the butter milk thing... Thanks looking foward to binge watching the rest of your videos.. unfortunately that will have to wait beautiful day here and the garden is calling.😊
Oh my gosh what a lovely comment! Thank you so much and welcome to our wee community! I hope more kiwis find me and I can be helpful to them as well. Its so hard when most Facebook pages don't allow you to promote so more can learn. Honestly the Ranch was so delicious I like it better than good old kiwi onion dip! Enjoy this beautiful weather.
Living in tropical qld, our salts, garlic powder, onion powders all the others just go hard. We have to put rice in the salt shakers. I’m constantly buying more because they are like rocks.
Fellow kiwi here just found you! I went to the states a few years ago and fell in love with ranch dressing now I can make my own thanks to you. I love your jars where did you get them? Look forward to you making the bagels!
I had to search for ranch seasoning last Christmas for a cheese ball recipe, as I can no longer buy it from supermarket . Wish I had seen this earlier. PS. Haven’t tried this, but I believe you can make bmp using 1/2 cup milk powder, mixed with 3 tspns cream of tartar.
I was wondering about adding about half a teaspoon of dried lemon or lime powder to add the acidic flavour to your ranch powder? (Love your channel... 😃)
I make a lot of my own pantry spice mixes too and was going to ask where you bulk buy im in nelson but a lot of bulk places will only sell to buisness not public so thankyou for other options
Hopefully, that gives you some other ideas. A lot of those bigger chains like Gilmours have opened up to the general public now, so it pays to ring around. Thanks for watching.
I live in Nelson, we have heaps of places to get the spices from. Asian food stores, Bin Inn, Organics store, Good For store (thats at Connings), Theres a little store in Stoke that sells spices you can buy in bulk.
I use the Ranch mix to make a dip for veggies, I mix it with sour cream… Yum 😋

It's good to hear that you are going to share these ideas with your daughter. 😊
I use EVERYTHING BUT THE BAGEL seasoning on my diced, oven roasted, sweet potatoes. Also great sprinkled on BRUSSEL SPROUTS.
I put it on salads .... yum
Top Norks!
Thank you for the shout out; you're so kind
OH let me tell you I haven't heard from you since I did it and I got worried I had offended you. So pleased you are back!
Oh no, not at all. I had just been busy and not on TH-cam much

Newbie here! Love your accent!!! Georgia girl here with a southern accent lol
Haha, thank you! I laugh because I used to act in stage shows, and the only American accent I could do was a Southern one. I LOVE your accent.

I'd love to make these for my shelves.😊

Yummo, will give these a try Stacey ♥️
All great seasoning mixes. I really enjoy your channel.
Thanks for watching, The ranch is sooo good.
I would add some lemon juice or vinegar to give it that Buttermilk taste.
They looked easy to do, I need to refresh and restock my herbs and spices
They sell ranch dressing made with milk or buttermilk in the states.
Definitely going to try this. This week, youve taught me how to make golden syrup, caramel anzac slice, crumpets and dressings. 😊

Wondering how RANCH SEASONING is made... Thank You
OMG I can't believe you said moorish! My aunt used to say that about almost all foods lol she loved to eat!!!
Hahaha, I'm old enough that it's such an old-fashioned saying. I laughed when I was editing and almost took it out, but it's me, and I say it, lol
We have dry buttermilk powder in basically at every grocery store here in the USA.
When you said "moorish" I wondered if it was like my mom used to say "musty" if it was something really tasty. Musty, must have some more.
I am defiant making these. Ty so much

Aussie born Kiwi- my dried stuff and stock cubes/ plastic tubs also go hard 🫨
Fellow kiwi here just found you! I went to the states a few years ago and fell in love with ranch dressing now I can make my own thanks to you. I love your jars where did you get them? Look forward to you making the bagels!
I got those ones from Briscoes on special. Thanks so much for watching
Thankyou for sharing how to make the ranch without buttermilk. I had wondered how to do it when I couldn’t get buttermilk powder here
You are so welcome! I've been wanting to make it for so long and I thought well why not use powdered milk. It was so yummy!! Thank you for watching.
I’m going to have to make that dressing!!
It is sooooo nice!

Buttermilk powder is available at Binn Inn.
Good to know! Thank you for that. I was only in there a couple of days ago.
@@FarmersWifeHomestead Good luck. If you cant find it I will send some to you as a koha for all your efforts. Thank you.
When you buy yr bulk herbs & spices how long do they last?
May I ask what size jars you use for your mixes. They look the right size to fit in my cupboard.
Have you thought of using paprika or smoked paprika instead of the chili powder? You would have the added flavor without the heat.
I make a lot of my own pantry spice mixes too and was going to ask where you bulk buy im in nelson but a lot of bulk places will only sell to buisness not public so thankyou for other options

Do you make your own Sour cream and Cream cheese?
I have done it before and plan on making a video showing you how soon.
have you tried the dry buttermilk powder in the ranch?
Yes I have, when I brought the one from America, I cant tell the difference just using milk powder. Thanks for watching
@@FarmersWifeHomestead ok good to know thank you!
