What's your favorite dish to add a dash of ranch seasoning to?

hi, here in brazil we dont have buttermilk , can i change for other ingredient?

@@tdarodriguez I am a ranch fanatic and I don't like Buttermilk ranch. I use regular milk. To me, it isn't a substitute. It is the best. So, for seasoning, you would use just milk powder.

Hi, how much do you use when adding to a 16oz container of sour cream?

    • @JessJoanne
      @JessJoanne ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@lucky0n3 16 oz. of sour cream is about 2 cups. That would make a huge amount of ranch. Here is a rough chart using a 1/2 cup...4 oz. of sour cream. You would quadruple the other ingredients here for 16 oz. of sour cream.
Whisking or shaking and chilling is how it will thicken. It will seem real runny at first.
      1/4 c Ranch mixture
      1/4 c mayo
      1/2 c sour cream
      1/2 c milk

@@tdarodriguez Maybe try dry milk powder if you have that. If you add 1T of vinegar to a cup of milk it becomes like buttermilk, so maybe you could add some vinegar whenever you make your dip with sour cream or whatever you use -- or just forget the butter milk part. Hope that helps you some.

This is probably way more flavorful than Hidden Valley's. Theirs has only garlic powder, parsley & buttermilk as spices. Everything else is msg in various forms & its a looong list.
Can't wait to try this superior mix!

This buttermilk powder says it needs to be refrigerated. Doesn't that mean the ranch mix would have to be too?

That's actually very cool. I lived in the US for a while and ranch seasoning isn't really a thing in other parts of the world (even though it's delicious), so I'm actually gonna do this. Any ideas for buttermilk powder substitutes? Thanks!

Now that we have the recipe for the Ranch packet, what is the recipe for mixing it up? How much of the Ranch mixture do we use and other ingredients?

      Ranch Dressing
      1/4 c Ranch mixture

We do not have buttermilk powder readily available in the UK. Can I use whole milk powder and add some white vinegar when I'm using the seasoning to turn the milk powder into buttermilk?
