I was looking at an Omega some years back, and I passed on a chance to buy an original release of the Snoopy watch. I just never understood the link between Snoopy and the Apollo program. I think the watch was about £4500 - about similar to a regular Speedy. I'd stop at the store and look through the window. I just said to myself " I'll get one one day ". I ended up helping my girl clear her debts and then the moment passed. By the time I could afford to treat myself and suddenly it's 2021. I eventually brought the Dark side of the moon edition. I was considering the Alingi version, but boats are not my thing. The sales lady did try to steer me towards the 60th anniversary James Bond Seamaster, but I wanted a Speedy. I have not regrets over my purchase, although I did delay by 2 years. I've had it for 1 year now. Paid £9900. Had I of brought it when I first noticed it in 2021, I'd of got it for £8760. Oh well.
The 321 references are far rarer against heightened interest and demand for the Caliber 321 ever since the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landings. Omega has them assembled start to finish by a single watchmaker, which is a time-intensive process so there is a limit to how many are made each year.
Value retention when sold to grey market dealers would be interesting. How much 'cash' can I make compared to Ebay and Chrono24 (extra costs even here) e.g. what would DavidSW or Watchbox pay me for the Ed White or the Snoopy compared to the value retention you show on this video?

I am surprised how the market not so appreciate the normal speedy so you can pick up at $4500, but paying so much premium to buy 321 model.

I think you can figure that out yourself. Generally they offer 20-30% under market maybe more if trading.
Don't worry. Holiday season is here and these prices will go back up.
Any speedmaster professional will sell above acquisition cost 5yrs out.

What about the speedmaster 57s

To me, they don't peel as solidly built or have that 'just right' sheen of the steel sport Rolexes. Except for Mr Ed White. I appreciate him.
