Give Teddy his due credit, he is an excellent interviewer. Quite possibly the best in the industry. More often than not you can tell he knows the answer before he asks the question but has the social awareness to give his guest an opportunity to shine all the while he takes in the information like he's hearing it for the first time. Great interview, incredible history lesson.
One of the BEST watch videos I've seen in a very long time! So great to listen to people that know what they're talking about having a very enjoyable discussion about something we love. Thank you VERY much Teddy and thank you to Omega for spending the time with Teddy to bring us this very educational moment it time. God bless brother!🙏
Teddy, thank you for this episode with Gregory. Greg is a wealth of knowledge. I am a big fan of the Omega brand and collector. I watched this episode twice because of the great information Gregory provided. I plan to go visit Omega in Biel in the near future.
I have to give credit for Gregory, he is multilingual and while for the American market it may be different, but note- in Switzerland in geneva its french, german, english as you move through geneva, and I have never seen rolex give this much attention for a 1:1 interview
Teddy and Omega are a great fit: they go the extra mile in terms of tuning/precision, his team with adding great visualizations and images to an already interesting and insightful interview

3861 Sapphire Speedy here which replaced my 1863 Sapphire Speedy. The new model is fabulous. It's bracelet tapers to 15mm which helps make the watch wear smaller than its 42mm size. At last a Speedy that can be hacked which makes setting its time a lot easier. I've had mine for around four months and it consistently runs at +1 second a day a testiment to his good its Master Co-Axial movement is.
Just picked up my sapphire sandwhich black dial with the 3861 co-axial movement about a week ago and it hasn’t left my wrist. Fantastic timepiece to say the least. Great video as always Teddy! Keep em coming!
Why do I keep watching these videos? I don't own a watch.....but Teddy is making me want to drive over to Cleveland and try some on.........so tempting.
I just got into watches like 2 weeks or so ago and have been binging all of his videos. Just bought a Nomos! I highly recommend looking into those...they're more affordable and absolutely terrific looking, plus they make all of their own parts in-house!

Much needed video on the Speedmaster line. Really helps justify having more than just one. So many stunners in this line, and I definitely need to pick up another one. This VP is very passionate about his product line.
He’s been wearing that watch on many of his press tours. He wore it on Chicken Shop Date, as well. I have the exact piece and have been enjoying watching him wear it. It films beautifully.
that’s it.. I’m going back in my AD and putting speedies on my forehead!!! 😂😂 love these content. Not just on summarising the range, but the history and the progression is fascinating. this one, along the GS line with joe is great. More please!🎉
Teddy is the best, on vacation at Naples FL we walked into the Omega Boutique I already knew which the watch I was getting. Absolutely fell in love with the moon watch, great experience we bought the watch. I am incredibly happy with the purchase, thanks Teddy for all the info on watches.
This video hit the nail on the head for me. I’ve investigated/tried on many Speedmaster models and welcome this comprehensive/in depth overview. Many thanks!
That was a really cool interview; very informative and interesting. Thank you for taking the time to interview Gregory Kissling - you both did a great job! 👍
Dang! Before watching this video if you asked me about Speedmasters, I would have said they come in black and white and I think I saw a green one once. Oh, and there are traditional plastic crystals or sapphire sandwiches. And they went to the moon. After watching this video I think I need to start my own a Speedmaster collection. Learned so much here and stayed interested right to the end. Great vid! Thanks so much.
This is the best part of the channel for me Teddy talking WITH the brands and talking about their history models etc. Great work keep this up At some point I want to experience this walking in the factory of omega with an expert Teddy do it also with the seamaster line
Loved this. A few days ago I bought myself the Speedmaster 38 (stainless steel with a black dial) because I'm not really a collector and wanted a self-winding watch with a date for practical purposes.
Teddy, great job on Pommel Horse last night for the USA gymnastics team. You did a great job not only getting that bronze medal but also making sure Omega was clearly on display in the background.
Waiting for a 36mm case version. Not sure if it is possible for such a complicated watch but I find smaller watches somewhat more elegant. Great video.
What an amazing video, Teddy! As a moonwatch owner, I have watched and read everything I could find about it and yet there was a lot I learned from this video! Thank you! 🙏🏻
My stepdad raced motorcycles and race horses and always had a speedy from 321 to 1861 and if I remember correctly, they came with flat link bracelets. He also bought Forstner and JB bracelets which is where I found a good flat link for my new Speedy with Hesalite crystal. It looks like I remember my stepdads in 1969. I love these videos
Mein Gott im Himmel! That was by turns fascinating, amusing, and awe-inspiring! Thank you, Teddy and guest from Omega, for that fantastic tour through the history of Speedmaster. This is gonnna sell some watches!
Teddy, I'm getting into watches with adult money now finally, and have fallen in love with your content! I love Bauhaus and simple/classy watches the most, would you please do a video discussing the Stowa Antea line? Most notably, how it is 6-800 more than Sternglas, yet 1500 less USD than Nomos - and whether you like the automatic or the manual more? There is almost zero youtube content on those watches!
Stowa & A.Lange are actually the two watchmakers came out with this type of dial you were mentioned back in 1930s. Nomos Tangente used ETA7001 when they first started and later produce their own movement, which is the same as ETA7001 (also known as Peseux 7001) and they added hacking second feature, then call it in-house caliber Alpha. Stowa Antea does not use in-house movement but rather ETA7001 If you want a more sleeker look go for Nomos, they are more refined (thinner hands, dial marking is tiny bit better). If you want a bit more robust, go for Stowa Antea (bigger crown, case is slightly thicker which can sustain more during normal use). I used to own both and to be honest, I think Stowa is a better option if you can get the dial with old Stowa logo. I dropped my Nomos Tangente once and the lug was bent !
Perfect video for me - a Speedmaster is a bit of a grail watch for me and I recently found out that I am to be a father to a son (my first child). I think I may have to buy a Speedy in 2025 just so one day I can pass my son on a watch from the year he was born. At least now I have all of the information to do so! Cheers Teddy from Derbyshire, UK.
I regret selling my speedy manual wind more than any other watch. But as a new dad also, don’t rush. Wait a couple years before you spend thousands on a watch. You never know what will happen.
Excellent video - not one minute too long. Visited the Omega Museum in Biel a few months ago. It was such an amazing and interesting experience. Really recommendable
I was unfamiliar with the dot placement of 90 so I googled it. The dot was shifted down next to the 90 for a minute, for anybody else who’s wondering. Great video Teddy!
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Now this is the reason why omega is cooler than the hyped rowlex. That apollo 8 dsotm is so cool! The process of doing it is just amazing. Great interview Ted!
I don’t not always assess the accuracy of my sapphire speedmaster 3861, but I reset it when I got back from Chicago 3 weeks ago and have only gained 4 seconds! It’s an amazing watch!
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH
Third time watching this video. Really excellent content. This guy is a great ambassador for the brand. Get him on again to discuss the rest of their collection.

I've got a Seamaster De Ville chrono from '67 - a fancy 18ct gold dress chrono but with the original Moonwatch calibre 321 inside . I think they only made the Seamaster De Ville's for a year or two - they are worth tracking down. The modern green '57 is the one I'd get out of the current batch, it's such a beauty on the wrist.
This is now my favourite watch channel on TH-cam , such great content and done superbly, well done sir and I got my favourite watch at MAMACOO, it hasn’t left my wrist for weeks
Wow the video side by side really shows how superior the sapphire crystal is. There is a massive glare from the studio light on the top left of the hesalite.
You can't help but love the Speedmasters! I just really hope they will add a ceramic bezel to the white speedmaster - and even better if they would add in the Spirate system! A fan can always hope I guess..
I've always been curious about the use of slotted screws over alternatives. You'd think other shapes would allow for more even torque application, or even faster/more 'sure' engagement. Is it purely a 'this is the way it's always been done', or is there another reason?
I bought a Speedy 3572, Hesalite with the open caseback, and I'm amazed that I've never heard anyone mention it because I see it as the best of both worlds.

My Speedmasters are the NASA approved moonwatch and the moonphase with foot print on blue leather.
I'm genuinely impressed with how close amzwatch were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
