I think it's easy to hate on Hublot, but once you move past Nico and dive in a little deeper and read up about jean claude biver, you will see where Hublot sits in the watch world. It certainly is an expensive fashion watch brand with mostly off the shelf movements, but so are many other luxury watch brands in the same price category.
They're already trolling him with that iced out blue Rolex.
Honestly, sometimes Nico's videos can use some fact checking. His Hublot opinion is fine, but I don't think he's ever given any real valid reasoning on disliking the watches themselves.

Go ahead & spend some money on a watch. My obsession started on my birthday in October of last year, and I just got my 1st Royal Oak (black pvd - you rarely see them) last Thursday. Have 4 Rolex's, too! 2 Datejusts, 1 Daytona, and 1 Skydweller. If needed, I know that they're instant (within 24 hours) cash, no questions about it.

the vanilla straps are made by benetto cinturini, who still make straps to this day for major brands. you can buy the generic ones from them in dozens of variations. they are a natural rubber, made in italy, and all smell like vanilla. they are very affordable (most under $50) and BY FAR the BEST accessory for any watch owner imo.
Pretty much all FMK (or other vulcanized straps) also have a vanilla smell. It's just to cover up the terrible stench , the same exact reason benotto's straps are vanilla scented.
The AP was by far the best bang for the buck. Way way up there but what an absolutely fantastic watch, right? What a beauty! Great vid guys, upwards and onwards for 2023. Loving the passion.
I would love to see more tours like the Vegas tour you gave us also the shops in Beverly Hills like Peter Marco are always relaxing to watch. Car tours in the hills. Cars and coffee with Michael and Adam would be awesome to see

I really enjoy watching these videos as I get to see a lot of watches I'll never, ever be able to afford.
The only gripe I have is, when "every" budget is stated but the cheapest is 2k.
I'm sure I'm not the only one for whom 2k is still way out of their price range.

because they are least expensive (although I can't afford the more expensive ones) but I personally like the look of them better!

Interesting pieces. That Daytona 🔥 The Hublot “issue” is that take a very basic movement that’s many lower price watches use and then slightly dress it up and charge an insane amount for it. At least with a Rolex and many other brands that are in house like Tudor is now, you get a brand made movement which isn’t cheap and you can somewhat justify the price. The Hublot brand really needs to start making movements in house on there more accessible models, it’s that simple

My Marathon MSAR also has a vanilla scented strap-awesome watch
For those who are curious.. The reason that strap smells of vanilla is because it’s made of “REAL” Rubber from a rubber tree. They naturally smell like vanilla.
Not something they add to the mix!! True story.
Vans are made from natural rubber. They dont smell like vanilla. 🤔
I just bought my first bussdown watch a datejust aftermarket set, i never thought i'll go for it especially when you know it doesent value as much as factory watches, but i really really love it so once again if you buy to wear always buy what you like dont care about what others will think

13:17 One of my underappreciated favorites, the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5740/1G-001, White Gold, Perpetual Calendar. Much less flashy than its two solid rose gold siblings - the OG 5980/1R and the new 5990/1R. Since the bracelet looks like steel, only you and those who know will realize you are wearing a $225K watch. A little bit of stealth wealth is prudent in these crazy times. 🤫☺️🤩
I think PM's rant about brands not remembering him just proves one thing. He is a connoisseur and should embrace it. Maybe if a brand doesn't want to sell you because they went mainstream, just buy from another brand.

You should make an episode, only with Breitling.
It's a bit 'over-looked' since they in the past, made some big watches, with all polished cases and bracelets, a lot of bling.
But they do make both comfortable and great looking watches. And there AR coating is off this planet.
Sometimes it even seems like theres no crystal on 'em at all.
You would learn a lot, and most important, we would learn that too.

The new speedmaster is an amazing watch for the price point, there is a reason all watch collectors respect it. Definitely alot of watch for the money, can't go wrong with a speedy.
Bought my Speedy brand new 10 years ago, was £2800 but got it for £2200 as my mate was a manager at the Jewellers. Still have it today and it looks in great excellent condition still, Omega do a fantastic job on the service.
not really, you can get a tudor black bay chrono for 2000 dollars less and it has quadruple the water resistance and arguably looks better,

@@deathunter2410 Iol now your just being silly, the new speedmaster is literally a better watch in every category, clasp, bracelet, movement, case, face, wearabilty, the list can go on and on. The tudor chrono is a poor man's rolex while many speedmasters sit in watch collections worldwide. There is a reason for it.

It would be interesting to find out what percentage of watch owners use the complications their watches come with. In my case, I prefer a simple look that tells time, and maybe the date. I do use the date feature because I work different schedules and times, so sometimes I can't remember the date. Don't need the month because most of the time, I can remember what month I'm in. I can see Time Zone features being used by business people.
You guys must come to london. We need some of you discount this side of the pond.

I have a Tudor BB58. Other than about 3 of those watches. In terms of actually wearing the watches in a restaurant or on a night out I’d Chose my watch over all of them. Classic, good size and not over the top.

I bet I'll get flak for saying this, I firmly believe the Tag Heuer Calibre 16 day date is an honorable mention for the 4 k price range. I own one and think it's a great piece for the money.
