Thanks a lot for this very helpful video. I bought a Dior Sauvage elixir from a top rated eBay seller and turned out to be counterfeit. I’m familiar with Dior Sauvage flankers and for an untrained eye, the packaging is virtually identical. The only thing off about it was the packaging did not have the corresponding batch code printed in the bottle and the weight was slightly off. (In my case 315g vs 320g of the original.) Pretty much everything else was spot on. Even the cap was high quality magnetic and was approx 32g. But the dead giveaway was the smell. It’s no way close to Dior Sauvage elixir. Much weaker watery scent. Thanks for the awareness. This was helpful

You might get these a lot, but where do you find the fakes? And do they get reported or best way to avoid these. I mean these could get right into a Macy's or Sephora and pass 99.9% and no one ever know. People would be arguing their ass off representing the fake. Haha. Thank you.

I just bought a bottle from a reputable dealer and received an obvious counterfeit. I didn't even have to open the box to tell. I could instantly tell the text was misaligned both with itself and with the front panel. The word Sauvage was in a different font than on the sample i got directly from Dior, and the kerning (space between individual letters) was terrible (the U and V were touching and there was a huge gap between the V and the A). The Dior logo letters were also thicker than they should be. The CD sticker on top of the box was way off-centre and the front panel of the box was missing the embossed border. I had a feeling that the price was too good to be true, even for a sale on a discounter site, and it seems I was right.

Can you tell by the plastic wrapping that is packaged around the box? At the bottom, is the plastic supposed to be touching together or leave a gap and dont touch? Thank you
Thanks a lot for this very helpful video.

My cap is 29g, the number is engraved on the bottom of the bottle. Original?
Thanks for the reply.
if the number on the bottom of the bottle is engraved... yes, it is original
Great vid, just took delivery of a bottle and all looks good except weight of lid is 25g, weight of lid of a bottle I bought 1 yr ago is 30g, have I bought a fake? Thank you
the serial number (batch) on the bottom of the bottle is the safety element ... take something sharp and scratch ... if it is wiped off it is with paint and it is fake ... if it remains it is engraved and it is an original perfume

The film on the bottom of the box that protects the sponge is glued... however, you removed the sponge from the bottom quite easily... is the bottom of the box glued?
You are doing a great service. So the big tell for me was the inside top, the no cushion, and the base bottom being able to open that fold. I unfortunately do not have a digital scale, but holy Christ these fakes are getting better and better.
I have like two questions if you have time. You might get these a lot, but where do you find the fakes? And do they get reported or best way to avoid these. I mean these could get right into a Macy's or Sephora and pass 99.9% and no one ever know. People would be arguing their ass off representing the fake. Haha. Thank you.
I wonder what they're filling the fakes with. Watered down version of the original, or something completely different?
the smell is like dior sauvage edp
I have one that matches everything on the original, including the magnetic cap that only closes with the initials in front. But the smell isn't concentrated at all, I have to spray more than twice to have a good smell... checked the weight, matches the fake one:( will file a claim lol.
Thanks for exposing the fakes. I’m new to Sauvage, I could have even bought the fake because you really have to know what the original looks like to identify the fake.
Great job my friend

does the batch code of elixir really hard to find? had to turn the flashlight on to see it.
it is located at the bottom of the bottle...but it should be visible without light.... anyway, if you find it... take something sharp and scratch it... if it rubs off, it's with paint and the perfume is fake... if it remains, it's engraved and it's original
My elixir looks genuine but has the 3 raised lines on bottle bottom , is this on the genuine ? thanks
the serial number on the bottom of the ENGRAVED bottle... must be identical to the serial number on the bottom of the box.... if this safety element does not exist... then you are surely dealing with a fake.... don't forget the serial number on the bottom of the bottle must be engraved not with paint... take something sharp and scratch... if the paint disappears then it's a fake... if it remains it means it's engraved and it's original
@@FakeCip Has matching numbers 1E02 but when lightly scratched finish comes off the bottle , everything else seems genuine inc. 2 sponges , atom. top & mag. cap spins to just off centre with front "sauvage" - Do the genuine have the 3 raised lines on bottle bottom plus the top of box "CD" only has a gap from c to d & no gap on the D - thanks for quick reply 👌

Perfume Dior Sauvage Elixir falso versus real

I just bought a bottle from a reputable dealer and received an obvious counterfeit. I didn't even have to open the box to tell. I could instantly tell the text was misaligned both with itself and with the front panel. The word Sauvage was in a different font than on the sample i got directly from Dior, and the kerning (space between individual letters) was terrible (the U and V were touching and there was a huge gap between the V and the A). The Dior logo letters were also thicker than they should be. The CD sticker on top of the box was way off-centre and the front panel of the box was missing the embossed border.
I had a feeling that the price was too good to be true, even for a sale on a discounter site, and it seems I was right.
the price says a lot...The safety element of the perfume is the serial number on the bottom of the bottle... take something sharp and scratch it... if it is painted, it is erased and it is fake... if it is engraved... it will remain and it is an original perfume

first of all, it is not the best fake, it is the second quality. The good ones look even better and have a batchcode on the bottle.what is never said is that a quality fake is worth buying, the smell and taste are about 90% the same. So how much is a good fake to buy?categorically yes, sometimes the price is 10 times lower when we talk about creed, baccarat, sospiro.
secondly... look at the date when it is made 2 weeks after the launch... in the meantime other better fakes appeared
@@FakeCip sorry I didn't look at that ,only that in most of the clips the fakes you present do not even have a batch

The lid is literally the most completely obvious issue, the real one; it always faces the front because of the magnetic field and the fake one it doesn’t.
Not always mine slightly off center and I bought it straight from Dior
There's like this tiny piece on the bottom of the lid that moves up and down and if it gets stuck in the lid isn't lined up with the font that's just how it is that's what happened to mine and that's probably what happened to a lot of people's so that's not really a good way to point it out
I subscribed you ARe doing great work sir!)) could you do boss oud aromatic? I would be grateful 🙏

No sera que son diferentes tipo de lotes?
El elemento de seguridad del perfume es el número de serie en el fondo del frasco... toma algo puntiagudo y ráscalo... si está pintado, se borra y es falso... si está grabado... permanecerá y es un perfume original
Why is it that Dior is not doing anything to protect their company and apprehend against fake producer of their products?
they do something…. every 2 years they change the safety elements... from the bottle to the box... but those who produce fake perfumes... also produce the same thing....
