Lot´s of fine instrumentalists: Jaap ter Linden, Ageet Zweistra, Jan Schlapp, Trevor Jones, Ku Ebbinge, Andrew Manze, Pavlo Beznosiuk, Marc Vallon, etc... Headbanging Ton Koopman is the best.
Oh, I don't know. Imagine 2016 orchestral suite where movements are named: * Twerking I & II * Crotch Grabbing Not that there is anything wrong with twerking (in Jerry Seinfeld's voice).
Incredible recording. I wonder how Bach visualised and understood music; obviously a very clever man judging by the way he used his last name in his own music (B-A-C-H theme and the aparent usage of numbers and their meaning in his music). Does anyone know who the oboe players are?
Why does it appear to be the case that almost everything recorded 30-40 years ago regarding Bach or classical music in general, but specially Bach, seem to be more spiritually connected with what his music offers? Perhaps the degeneration of this decade, porn, degeneracy at everything seem to have finally caught up with the human psyche.
00:00 Overture
07:05 Courante
09:41 Gavotte I&II
12:26 Forlana
16:53 Bourree I&II
19:14 Passepied I&II
And the great Minuet 1 & 2: 13:54
overture 0:43
Beautiful music of great virtuosity and remarkable skill. Great joy: beautiful music most divine!
this has to be one of the finest orchestras I've ever heard
Yes Indeed! Been listening to Bach for 46 years and l am 46. Dad use to play with the Melbourne Orchestra back in the 70's
In B major
If Ton had worn an era-appropriate wig, this would have received GOAT status for period instrument performance
Didn't know Gary Oldman is such a good Oboe player. Respect.
LOL
Huh. I thought it was Bruce Willis in one of his disguises from The Jackal (edit: as Charlie, the Canadian guy)...
One of the greatest giants of the baroque ever existed.

Momentos que como bucles infatigables, las flores marchitas de mi memoria no dejan de añorar
What elegant dance music! Without romanticizing the world of Bach is it quite a contrast with the disgusting and loutish world of 2016.
So what's disgusting about 2016 compared to the first half of the 18th century?

Yeah I love the way this orchestra makes those H-flat diminished seventh chords sound.
♥️😍😍♥️
Good work orchestra sounds great just somewhat slower would be nicer. Still great work.
that bassoon player really has alot of work cut out for him in that first movement. i think thats a bassoon
13:54 14:15 15:01 16:15 16:26
Who is the concertmaster?
in B major
Andrew Manze sighting
bad camera work. two oboes dueting and shows 1 playing slow zooming out. snore.
I believe they are playing on period instruments. The oboes are not modern, and I believe the bassoon is not either.

Oh no not baroque pitch. It sounds like B major to even though it is obiously in C. It is a very good performance though.
