Great! All parents should expose their kids to Bach from early age every now and then. A young brain works like a sponge and from neuroscience we actually know that Bach has lots of measurable beneficial effects.
I could'nt agree more, without them the whole magnificent performance would not exist here. This aspect of how music is spread worldwide is mostly ignored. The sound engineers are not only very experienced people in their craft, they are also very sensitive people, who understand music and know how to translate what they hear in a concert hall to what the auditioner should be able to hear on youtube or whatever channel. Without these engineers we just couldn't be listening to this. So a big ”tank you” to all of them !

He also wrote works for unspecified instruments: "The well-tempered clavier" was meant for any keyboard instrument. Now, if anyone ads extra notes to his work, then he would be upset.
This? This is without any doubt the best Bach 1st piano concerto interpretation and performance ever. She understands Bach. I listen and watch this video every day. Heavenly! Like Bach used to write under his compositions: "SDM" ~ "Soli Deo Gloria". But let us not forget to thank Polina also!
Piano Concerto? Using a piano destroys the character of the piece. Yes, Bach transcribed it in part to Organ presentations for some cantatas, but the piano so overpowers the string orchestra that it's almost more Liszt than Bach.

Это не подвиг ведь я играю для себя, а не для публики и делаю ошибки,но 8 летнего муз.школы мне хватило,даже с перерывом в 44 года без практики и без инструмента

I nearly moved on when I saw it was a piano performance, but then got the greatest musical shock in a long time - it is beyond wondrous, stunning, every note audible, crystal clear, steady, pulsating rhythm, and a passionate, committed, beautiful woman living and breathing every second of it.

2:16 - ляп, один из некоторых. Исполнение в целом отличное, но далеко не лучшее. Лучшее - без вопросов - Беатриче Рана, а по фишкам, сверхпониманию Баха - исполнение Бахрами.

Mir fehlen fast die Worte! Es ist, als ob etwas Übermenschliches durch diese Pianistin aus Bach's Werk herausgeholt und hörbar gemacht wurde! Ein Schauer der Ergriffenheit geht einem durch die Seele! I have listened to this rendition many times now, and I must say it is absolutely riveting. Not just the interpretation, but also the free wheeling Bach himself at the very pinnacle of all his creative and enjoyable spirit. The musical surprises just keep leaping out all over the place. It is as if Bach couldn't even figure out anymore where to go with all his intuition. Absolutely marvelous!!
The last movement has a sort of manic energy. You just get the feeling that you’re right at the edge of madness but Bach never allows the music to veer into chaos. This immense power perfectly disciplined.
Yes, the comments have been full of praise, but it is well-deserved praise: for the ingenuity of Bach, and the passionate performance of Polina. This is an epitome of one of the great achievements of human civilization.
Absolutely love this. Polina is genius in her interpretation - Lower register sings as much as the upper, and are combined to perfection as one. A very rare talent. Thank you Polina !!
This is what many modern musicians and music lovers do not understand about Bach. Every line is independent and is written to be HEARD. It is not merely a harmonic foundation. You here this místake often in performances of Bachs choral works. The lower parts are sung too anemically and can’t be heard under the alto and soprano parts.

Часто услышав впервые исполнение, его принимаешь за эталон и все другие исполнения произведения кажутся уже не совсем такими. Я этот концерт услышал изначально в исполнении Глена Гульда. Но слушая это исполнение оно воспринимается абсолютно наравне.

И тогда она поднимает нас в небесные сферы. Исполнение потрясающее. Русская классическая школа - это сила.
Только вот какая не задача, Бах на фортепьяно не играл. А концерт фортепьянный. Первая и третья часть были написаны на одном дыхание. Вторя часть была вставлена позже. И понятно , что она лишняя.
Wrong! Bach himself recycled bits of his compositions throughout his life. Keyboard music and strings are transcribable for many instruments. If this had been performed on a harpsichord, the back of the auditorium would miss the entire performance. Comment from a harpsichordist and pianist specializing in Baroque music.

Это по вашим предложениям, но у Баха все верно и во время, 2 часть была написана в память о первой супруге Баха, которая внезапно скончалась, когда он был в отъезде с кюрфюрстом, сопровождая его 2 месяца, а приехав, узнал, что любимую супругу похоронили уже..Внимательно прослушайте эту часть, где есть: горе, печаль, рыдания, безысходность и некое просветление, что без воли Господа ничего не происходит в этой жизни..

These days I treat myself with this music nearly once a day, I cannot express the enjoyment it gives me. Thanks to Bach for his greatness and to Polina for his energy. It seems to me to match and complement the (ironic) feeling of a small poem I wrote in my early twenties. Here it goes: "Fear not, my darling, fear not: we shall be able to face the storm and the loudest sound of thunder will not affect our ears. We'll pass safe under huge trees bent by the rain and not a single drop will us bathe. Don't be afraid my darling, like a child frightened of the dark but take your hat and rush: we have to go."

This is the right way to play this Bach piece. Polina Osetinskaya never wavers from this perfect approach. The balance is perfect with the orchestra. We can really Bach singing. If any performance was perfect, this is it.
Been coming back to this performance again and again, after revisiting the recordings of Lipatti, Richter, Gould and a few more. The clarity of sound, the focused energy, phrasing and dynamics, the SWING and the GROOVE of Lady Polina simply are in their own league. The same praises to the orchestra, with heartfelt thanks.

This aspect of how music is spread worldwide is mostly ignored. The sound engineers are not only very experienced people in their craft, they are also very sensitive people, who understand music and know how to translate what they hear in a concert hall to what the auditioner should be able to hear on youtube or whatever channel.
Without these engineers we just couldn't be listening to this.
So a big ”tank you” to all of them !

This performance should be registered as a "Cultural Heritage of Humanity". No one has ever played Bach BWV 1052 better than Polina Osetinskaya!

He also wrote works for unspecified instruments: "The well-tempered clavier" was meant for any keyboard instrument. Now, if anyone ads extra notes to his work, then he would be upset.
This? This is without any doubt the best Bach 1st piano concerto interpretation and performance ever. She understands Bach. I listen and watch this video every day. Heavenly! Like Bach used to write under his compositions: "SDM" ~ "Soli Deo Gloria". But let us not forget to thank Polina also!

Piano Concerto? Using a piano destroys the character of the piece. Yes, Bach transcribed it in part to Organ presentations for some cantatas, but the piano so overpowers the string orchestra that it's almost more Liszt than Bach.

Nonsense. The piece was not even written for piano - indeed, it wasn't written for any kind of percussive instrument. She's playing Bach as if it was Rachmaninoff. Reminds me of Charles Bukowski's poetry collection "Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Begin to Bleed a Bit."

I have listened to this rendition many times now, and I must say it is absolutely riveting. Not just the interpretation, but also the free wheeling Bach himself at the very pinnacle of all his creative and enjoyable spirit. The musical surprises just keep leaping out all over the place. It is as if Bach couldn't even figure out anymore where to go with all his intuition. Absolutely marvelous!!
This is one of his worst works
The last movement has a sort of manic energy. You just get the feeling that you’re right at the edge of madness but Bach never allows the music to veer into chaos. This immense power perfectly disciplined.
Yes, the comments have been full of praise, but it is well-deserved praise: for the ingenuity of Bach, and the passionate performance of Polina. This is an epitome of one of the great achievements of human civilization.

This is what many modern musicians and music lovers do not understand about Bach. Every line is independent and is written to be HEARD. It is not merely a harmonic foundation. You here this místake often in performances of Bachs choral works. The lower parts are sung too anemically and can’t be heard under the alto and soprano parts.

Сколько слушаю разных исполнений музыки Баха - прихожу к выводу, что она настолько выше всех "штрихов" и "манер исполнения", что главное, что бы она была осмысленна и была исполнена в одной концепции. И тогда она поднимает нас в небесные сферы.
Исполнение потрясающее. Русская классическая школа - это сила.
Только вот какая не задача, Бах на фортепьяно не играл. А концерт фортепьянный. Первая и третья часть были написаны на одном дыхание. Вторя часть была вставлена позже. И понятно , что она лишняя.
Wrong! Bach himself recycled bits of his compositions throughout his life. Keyboard music and strings are transcribable for many instruments. If this had been performed on a harpsichord, the back of the auditorium would miss the entire performance. Comment from a harpsichordist and pianist specializing in Baroque music.

Это по вашим предложениям, но у Баха все верно и во время, 2 часть была написана в память о первой супруге Баха, которая внезапно скончалась, когда он был в отъезде с кюрфюрстом, сопровождая его 2 месяца, а приехав, узнал, что любимую супругу похоронили уже..Внимательно прослушайте эту часть, где есть: горе, печаль, рыдания, безысходность и некое просветление, что без воли Господа ничего не происходит в этой жизни..
Слушал раз 20. На мой взгляд, - самое лучшее исполнение данного произведения.

These days I treat myself with this music nearly once a day, I cannot express the enjoyment it gives me. Thanks to Bach for his greatness and to Polina for his energy.
It seems to me to match and complement the (ironic) feeling of a small poem I wrote in my early twenties. Here it goes:
"Fear not, my darling, fear not:
we shall be able to face the storm
and the loudest sound of thunder will not affect our ears.
We'll pass safe under huge trees bent by the rain
and not a single drop will us bathe.

This is the right way to play this Bach piece. Polina Osetinskaya never wavers from this perfect approach. The balance is perfect with the orchestra. We can really Bach singing. If any performance was perfect, this is it.
Been coming back to this performance again and again, after revisiting the recordings of Lipatti, Richter, Gould and a few more. The clarity of sound, the focused energy, phrasing and dynamics, the SWING and the GROOVE of Lady Polina simply are in their own league. The same praises to the orchestra, with heartfelt thanks.

Polina was definitely born for playing Bach. She does it with such authority and impeccable prowess, in such a profound and meaningful style, that this performance renders goose bumps every time I listen to it. It's an excellent work of all involved musicians.❤

Браво, Полина Осетинская! После Рихтера так тронуть сердце не мог никто, но это ее исполнение Баха - это чудо, верх современного перфоманса и невероятной интерпретации. Она проживает в этой гениальной музыке каждую ноту, каждое мгновение, она буквально дышит ею. Это потрясающе действует на зрителей и слушателей! Спасибо за единение с божественной музыкой: и дирижеру, и прекрасному оркестру, это было великолепно!
Рихтер не трогает в этой музыке, от слова совсем. Он, кстати сказать, и сам не был в восторге от своих записей Баха.
Вагнер воодушевляет больше.
Рихтера после Осетинской переслушивать сложно. Бездушная механика.
Обязательно раз в году слушаю это произведение в исполнении Полины. Это блаженство!
Я готов его слушать бесконечно....
А я слушаю 3-4 раза в неделю!
Я постоянно слушаю, это как лекарство!
