@@umario251 This! Sonic actually felt like a person in those games. I remember when Sonic saw shahra die in secret rings and went darkspine. That was heavy, seeing him absorb the rings of rage, hatred, and sadness. He was still in character with a quip or two but you could tell he was obviously upset with how he tore into Alf. Black Knight basically accentuated why Sonic is such a good guy. Willing to sacrifice for others and being compassionate to even his enemies. Also going into his belief of enjoying things when you have it and how an eternal world would lead to misery eventually. Forces had none of that. Sonic is a good guy still but he doesn't feel as deep as before.

I personally really love Jason Griffith as Sonic. He was offered to come back and play Sonic in Generations but Sega was going to pay him offensively low, so he backed out and I doubt he’ll ever have anything to do with Sega again unless they offer him a really good deal for a reprisal of the role (which they won’t)

I know what you mean in the context of Sonic 06 and Sonic Unleashed, but for me, the Sonic from the story book games is the real Sonic to me. He has a lot more of an attitude, and his dialogue his interspersed with witty remarks, and I think it has more of an enthusiastic tone than Unleashed and 06.
Do remember that movie Sonic is Paramount, not Sega (even if Sega didn't give two f*cks about licensing). Also, Sega, _pleaaaase_ make Sonic Rush Adventure 2 Battle.

Well, to be completely fair, Mega Man hasn’t really had any games that were so bad they ruined his reputation forever. It’s just he had a large gap of no games for a while. Hell, with the recent X and X Zero collections, along with Mega Man 11, Mega Man has been getting a lot more love. Yeah I know X6 and X7 were trash, but overall people still respect Mega Man
Mm yes but also no. Mega Man’s spinoffs lead to burn out but the games never tanked it’s reputation into being notorious bad. Except X6 and X7. Possibly some of the BN games. Also MM@B but that was just a weird sideshow of a real game like MM8. Even so, capcom’s been gauging and feeding life back into the franchise. MM11 is a top selling Classic Mega man title after almost a decade of Dormancy. The X collection happened (with some X9 foreshadowing) and soon Z/ZX collection will help relieve that series’s obscurity as well.
Am I the only one who loves modern sonic's design? Especially in unleashed cute and cool. I think classic is cute but I allways saw the transition to the modern design as sonic growing older you know.
Yeah I like Modern Sonic's design too. Alax's videos about Modern Sonic are really inconsistent. He said he hate the fact that Sonic has huge limbs, while saying that Sonic Riders' character design is his favorite.

I know what you mean in the context of Sonic 06 and Sonic Unleashed, but for me, the Sonic from the story book games is the real Sonic to me. He has a lot more of an attitude, and his dialogue his interspersed with witty remarks, and I think it has more of an enthusiastic tone than Unleashed and 06.

Try comparing the Sonic series to Mega Man, Sonic might as well be a longtime success in comparison.
Well, to be completely fair, Mega Man hasn’t really had any games that were so bad they ruined his reputation forever. It’s just he had a large gap of no games for a while. Hell, with the recent X and X Zero collections, along with Mega Man 11, Mega Man has been getting a lot more love.
Yeah I know X6 and X7 were trash, but overall people still respect Mega Man
Mm yes but also no. Mega Man’s spinoffs lead to burn out but the games never tanked it’s reputation into being notorious bad.
Except X6 and X7. Possibly some of the BN games. Also MM@B but that was just a weird sideshow of a real game like MM8.
Even so, capcom’s been gauging and feeding life back into the franchise. MM11 is a top selling Classic Mega man title after almost a decade of Dormancy. The X collection happened (with some X9 foreshadowing) and soon Z/ZX collection will help relieve that series’s obscurity as well.

Am I the only one who loves modern sonic's design? Especially in unleashed cute and cool. I think classic is cute but I allways saw the transition to the modern design as sonic growing older you know.
Yeah I like Modern Sonic's design too. Alax's videos about Modern Sonic are really inconsistent. He said he hate the fact that Sonic has huge limbs, while saying that Sonic Riders' character design is his favorite.

@@ditto6533 he says what pretty much every youtuber like him says. He always compare him to Mario, which unfortunately nowadays copying Mario's repetitive formula is his only way of survival. But there was a time when Sonic was above Mario in terms of the complexity of his gameplay and storytelling, and this time was the early 2000's.
This might be Sonic's most ambitious age, and people shamelessly claiming it's bad after nitpicking every miniature flaw it have, ignoring it's truely awesome features.
