If we ever get a Classic Sonic game remaster for like fortieth anniversary, SEGA better get Lapper for the job. It just looks so official…
He’s too qualified for Sega, I think buffoonery is a requirement to work for the publisher and good games might be accidental lol. Case in point, Sonic Superstars is looking promising despite Sega picking a partner that made a bunch of mediocre games for Nintendo and was part of the Balan Wonderworld team.

@@Chillipeffer I’d be lying if I said it was salt free heh, if you’re not a Sonic fan then you wouldn’t understand. Given the information presented above on Arzest’s resume would you trust them to make a new Sonic? No long time Sonic follower lets a small string of good Sonic games lull them into a fall sense of security, Sega releasing quality Sonic software and then screwing up is a cycle as trustworthy as the sun setting and rising. AFAIK it’s limited to them, the rest of the Sega departments have their act together.
Sega recently tried to charge players again by releasing paywalled fixes (also available as DLC) of a games collection that was meant to have the definitive versions of classic Sonic titles, except the new release of the collection is still haunted by issues players hated like bad and inaccurate chiptune music. Sega couldn’t even do a cash grab properly, several fans fixed the chiptune music for them. I imagine at least one would charge Sega little to nothing for their renditions. Fans sometimes care less about money than they do about fixing problems with games they play or of their work becoming official could also be more important than compensation.

@@TailsGuy72 People have likened being a Sonic fan to being married to an abusive partner lol. Going to contradict myself a little, Sega has been doing better than they usually do on their hot streaks. Sonic Prime and the films have been well received by fans and critics (for a video game movie). Haven't seen them myself, they've been described as very tropey so they don't entice me a whole lot, think I'd end up calling them mid at best. I'll go ahead and call them good because I know I'm in the minority. But of course we can't get too optimistic, Sega will find a way to make a major mistake(s) that will send Sonic’s trajectory downward again and have everyone wondering why we won't leave our abusive partner Sega.

Man... I replayed Sonic CD literally all of this month with mods and... seeing this beauty of a title screen. I literally want to cry, just how beautiful the sprite and animation is! Only that i need to always go back to this video... if only there would be a gif... Still, thank you so much Lapper for this! This whole year of CD hating was just frustrating and annoying, but this video just fixes it all!

Good Game Music Wise
I've played it a few times but every time I've found it to be the worst of the original sonic games, Like if you're just going to reach the end it's not bad, but if you actually engage with the time travel mechanics it's terrible.

This is awesome man! I love how much work you put it and how great it becomes in the end, especially that you managed to do the intro sprites! I know this is a long shot, but would you consider doing the title to Sonic and Knuckles? Your ones of 1, 2 and 3 were awesome too btw!
Great video! Just want to clarify though, the Sonic on the title screen is not a 3D Model - it was based on a clay sculpture.
I looked it up and I actually failed to find out the facts so I just went on instinct haha

Fabulous work! I love the stretching and bobbing of the added frames, very nice touch. It'd be neat to see the chain that binds Little Planet to that mountain and have it move with the planet but I'm sure since it's mostly obscured it's not really necessary. Thank you for sharing and I hope you get released from your past video!
