I found this video incredibly helpful as a new player to KSP. I played the in-game tutorial and understood some basics... and then this video cemented my knowledge and gave some very useful tips that helped me a lot! After watching this i was able to build my own rocket and get into orbit. I was able to re-enter again and recover the vehicle safely. Thanks Modish!

Good guide video. Pedantic point: When you drop your main engine and tank, you're not dropping fuel weight - that's already gone. You're dropping an empty tank and engine that doesn't weigh much at all by comparison, your thrust/weight ratio changes as you burn fuel and lose weight.

Great video for new people, and a good refresher for old KSP players. nicely done!

And I thought, the bugs are the hardest thing preventing you to get to space...

Thank you I had been struggling figuring out a basic sweet spot for a gravity turn lol

Great guide! After many years I still struggle with that simple step. Today I'm showing my son so I'm making sure I'm getting the best info possible.
9:12 - I think you meant 3000 meters, then 100 meters/second (not kilometer that would be insane)

Not finding it hard to build a ship to get to orbit finding it hard to not have it fall apart or have dropped stages with no thrust pass main stage after dropping it, Fuel randomly disappear or stages just not wanting to disconnect.
Yes I'm finding the bugs are what is killing my orbits.

You said you should do your circularization burn when you're about 20 seconds from reaching your apoapsis, but in the video it was about 1:20 and it obviously worked. Did I get anything wrong?

I appreciate this video very helpful for sure. You need to slow down in the menu though, you click through like I have played this game before I had to play the video 5-8x per component becuase you clicked so fast didn't specify which side bar it was in snapped things on so fast it was a little frustrating. But obviously the information was helpful. However, future reference slow down by 2-3x when going through the menus.

Yep! You're absolutely right! I just found it too difficult to circularize at 70-80k but thanks for clarifying! Much appreciated!

To much. I just want to talk about getting into orbit, not building a rocket and controlling the camera........

No offense, but this is a lot of random information and nowhere near ideal for a player who's just learning how to get to orbit. Get to the point and leave the unnecessary bits to the end.

    Why not a maneuver node?

Great question! This route only requires 3 buttons: Z,X,D. Just thought it might be easier this way! Plus this way the computer doesn't do any calculations for you, so the player has to do all the work/thinking, which I think helps player learn! Hope those are good enough answers. I thought too hard about this question during recording, hope I made the right choice!
      Cheers,
