Hey you're the guy who occasionally comments on my videos
Harvesterr is always super nice, he makes Kitbash Model Club which is basically a very close replica to ksp alpha but for RC Planes/cars/etc very active in their discord about development towards that

Nature is healing, easter eggs are returning to their natural habitat. Now we just need to wait for the Magic Boulder to reappear in orbit
If I remember correctly, "Mun or bust!" was added because of a TH-camr called "KurtJMac" (He famously has a series where he walks to the Farlands in Minecraft "Farlands or Bust!"). One of my favorite things in KSP, honestly :)
Kurt was part of what got me into KSP. I learned all the basic orbital mechanics from his old KSP beta videos
He was even in the credits of the original KSP in the "Special Thanks" section. He was one of the earliest TH-camrs to play the game.
i love that the busted lander uses the KSP 1 textures
headcannon:
KSP 1 and KSP 2 are different timelines but the mün or bust ship got accidentally transferred into the KSP 2 timeline
headcannon:
oh my god there's a cannon inside of my skull, i knew this would happen
It's like the Borealis from the Half Life universe XD

So that?
Most likely by the Kraken
Another theory I came up with is that Kerbal Space Program 1 takes place hundreds of thousands of years before KSP 2. Kerbals were wiped out and sent back to their original tribal ways for many many hundreds of thousands of years until they developed to the stage they did before. Maybe a huge solar event that wiped out most kerbals and completely re-arranged the solar system + reformed it.
Recently there was a unusually shaped object detected on a near miss trajectory that had odd reflective changes. Turns out it was a spent Apollo stage returning from a deep space orbit. So Lowne Aerospace is on good company with leaving junk in deep space.
“Recently”
If you’re talking about the Apollo 12 S-IVB that was 22 years ago lol
@@Fetidaf no, they mean the spent apollo 10 lem, snoopy. people have tried to calculate its trajectory after a decompression on final separation from the csm, on the return journey, gave it enough speed to exit the moon's gravity well and enter a solar orbit. recently-ish people have found an object of roughly the correct size in roughly the right position based on their calculations. can't really check it though, as it's too far out.
@@finchymcfinch oh, I didn’t hear about that… seems like there’s a lot of Apollo space junk lol
I managed to get there using this a guide! One fun bit is they have the original KSP intro music playing at this location!
Glorious.
Yay Busty Moon! ... err, wait.

For science, you monster. (Portal 2 reference)
Fun Fact: When you get close to the mun or bust craft, it plays the ksp1 menu song!
The professor layton music when finding the crater was sooo good hahaha, I haven't heard it in years
No wonder the mun is so light, the kerbals did bust
what the sigma
WUT DU HEEEE-
the horrors
What da Skibidi?!!?!
I remember watching the Mun or Bust series by kurtjmac as a kid, it taught me to love space. :D
matt in the science reports theres actual text you can expand, i thought there wasnt until i looked closer
I just completed my first ever Tylo landing and return in any KSP game in KSP2 about a week ago. KSP2 has come so far from it's initial launch, it always makes me happy to see your videos on it now
first time not being 8 years late to a video.
Same
YOU MONSTER! How DARE you hurt the space dolphins like that. You NEED to make an entire video on grabbing that trash and throwing it into Kerbol.
nah
could have been a great ksp 2 blunderbirds episode!
That's so cool! I love Dev Easter eggs. What a great team. Also Matt you have to release your tutorial of the Jool mission! I've been stuck for 2 weeks!
Great vid Matt, so cool to see they put this in the game! Also I am jealous of your beautiful thumbnail!
I haven't had any performance issues yet with my campaign save (aside from the bugs) and I've not been great about cleaning up after myself.
I love how the ship is inside a big crater, indicating it crashed into the mun at considerable speed
The Max Persistent Debris setting helps a lot as far as culling used stages.
You got the umlaut right! I bet not many others would have made the effort.
And it's s also really good to hear the OST while descending down to Duna.
A certain charm from KSP was lost going to KSP2.
Especially with minmus
Bro u are insane. I love how you show how you build all of your rockets
Good times watching Kurtjmac’s ksp videos back in the day!
You're actually the reason I started Kerbal Space Program, and I recently completed my first Mun landing!!!
Good job! Also, if you're interested in finding a space simulation game for Mobile, I would definitely recommend Spaceflight Simulator.
best thing we've ever seen, Matt Lowne. It inspired us in KSP!🚀
I made a standard Keostationary orbit constellation of 6-8 satellites and the game became significantly slower/stuttering. Deleted them and performance returned to normal.
So the debris causing lag seems real to me
Bumping this.
It'd be so cool if you could actually rescue a Kerbin there. One with a completely unique name.
perhaps finding them could unlock a "classic" spacesuit for your kerbals.
Blunderbirds in Ksp 2?
Pleaseee
The crashed ship looks so strange in the ksp2 world. It had so much more texture compared to everything in ksp2
id say use the same saves unless its a big project because it may be fun/funny to stumble across other builds and you could have more build ideas such as mid way stations and such
There are footprints around the sandcastle. And there are more footprints around the crashed capsule. Is there a trapped or lost Kerbal nearby, waiting for rescue?
Missed opportunity to make this a Blunderbirds episode, rescuing the crew of that unfortunate lander
small probability for the mun dust castle? I've had it like 10 times. As always, another nice video
Stopping in for a stool sample on the Mun
Bro became Rainbolt.
Weirdly nostalgic rocket! I love it :)
2:33 Neat crossfade. It almost looked like the rocket was painted on the pad.
The music was in my head when I read the title
Bro we just subscribed.
that’s amazing!
Matt, you need to help NASA!!!
they are trying to make a sample return mission, but they are not smart enough to make it cheap.
can you show them how it's done?
make a rover that holds a rocket with an ore tank.
fly it to Duna, collect ore, and shoot the rocket on the rover back home.
I once got the muncastle Easter egg 3 times in a row!
If I may, I think you should always try and dispose of your space debris, regardless of save file continuity. It's just the right thing to do.
No need to even show the disposal. Just have the capability ready, like a bit of extra propellant and a probe controller for spent stages. ;)
Im gonna be cheeky and say people should show ShadowZone some love 😁
I think this is a abit cooler place to land on, than the Mün arch.
I've been playing through the for science missions on the same save file and performance hasn't gone down since I started, at least not to a noticeable degree
6:34 Those craters positioning looks very strong and efficient.
Blud had to wait 15 years to be found 😂😂😂
Busting makes me feel good
I play KSP2 one one save file and the only consistent problem I have is boosters after separation tend to just get stuck. They hover in the same spot until I fly close enough and then they are affected by physics again. It's kind of annoying when you can see them in the background, but it doesn't really affect the gameplay much.
Also, we wanna add that ur the best KSP youtuber We've ever seen.
Finally someone who knows the difference between u and ü
wait what is the difference
@@dallor09 the difference is pushing your tongue up and forward to change the "oo" sound to ü
6:09 Layton music hits me hard ❤😂
Im still on ksp1, im finly successfully using ion engins to go to minmus jool and duna in that order 2 missions to jool 2 duna 2nd mission i landed a rover.
You should have put a kerbal or two at the site first and made it a blunderbirds
A very good Easter egg indeed
Let’s go great mission
5:00 I play on one science game file, and it doesnt seem to impact performances too much, although the map screen gets cluttered bc of all the ships in orbit an it gets kinda annoying, hope they fix it
The yellow and black striped thing under the capsule in the Mun or Bust scene isn't a decoupler but a reaction wheel (the Advanced Inline Stabilizer). I don't think it was meant for a 2 way trip (there is no decoupler nor a heat shield) so it probably wouldn't have had a parachute either.
The mk-25 decouplers did look like this way back then
Played ksp2 once when it was first launched then switched back to modded ksp1
I definitely hear music from Professor Layton at 6:08
Can you explain why it's easier to change inclination at higher orbits? I had issues when I tried to land higher on the Mun where I would simply just fall out of orbit rather than get the inclination where I wanted it, I had to actually decrease my orbit altitude in the end. I was using the ascending / descending nodes - was I doing something wrong?
In my cannon I put fts like things in all my stages to blow it up after it’s done being used
Would be cool to build a base around it.
KurtJMac was Matt Lowne to the OGs
matt is the yapper boss
Regolith castle, perhaps
Moon busting!
Mun Busters!
Excellent !!! :)
The kerban line!
Mün is pronounced Moon if anyone was wondering lol .... but Mun sounds more canon. The modern KSP is remarkably advanced and easy to use since I last tried to play it (the beta a squillion years ago lmao)
I thought that title screen was only in enhanced edition because of the mün launchsite
You know... you could have done this as the first blunderbirds KSP2 video. 🤔
When I went to check it out I decided to crash as well (did rescue mission)
it would be nice if there was a hidden kerbal to rescue there
The Ü in mün kinda looks like a smiley face Ü ü
You can fly inside ice tower on pol
We've finally found it!!!! Mun or Bust!! (For Science)
0:54 the end of the video😂
HOLY MOOSE
ooo nice
I have a question when going to the mun why not go straight up to it in a straight line instead of orbit kerbin I as I have. Is it more fuel efficient?
aerospace engineering student here. Actually no as the moon orbits also if you point straight to it and accelerate you wont reach it ast it would move from your way. You need first to have a LKO (Low Kerbin Orbit) and the do a Homman transfer to reach the same orbit as the moon in the right spot, then decelarate to be kept in moon orbit and kill horizontal speed to land. Also, if you go in a straight line you would need to have a constant burn to counter the force of gravity. in orbit this works different, you just need to burn for like a minute or less just to gain enough speed to match your orbit
I reeeally wish theyd have left one kerbal there. But make him half the size, and peach colored. Just for the lore.
You are missing the medium reaction wheel on the lander.
I thought so too, but that's just what decouplers looked like back when that screen was made.
@@BrannonAerospaceI was playing Ksp1 recently and got a contract to test the Rockomax brand decoupler and I was just maximum confusion as that is not easily accessible anymore.
@@Wurtoz9643Welcome to career mode.
ok
very cool
"It exsists" - critic
I feel like Ksp 2 is just a more modern version of ksp 1
*ahem, I think you'll find it's a 'regolith castle' :P
Yay
Do the crash site footprints lead to anything, or just out of the crater?
You can basically go to anywhere with very limited DV
They went with bust.
Now that I think of it, how could the kerbonaut go outside the stranded vessel if the hatch is buried into the regolith???
Could you please make more ksp 1 vids ?
Fr
2:57 Perhaps you could demonstrate this point in RSS ;)
As someone who knows what ü sounds like because of German, it should sound something like “myn or bust”
Who's TH-cam series was the mun or bust episode from? Was it Keralis from the Yogscast group?
