@@JacobsLifeTodayDeadass Matt is easily the worst “popular” ksp player, he really doesn’t know how to efficiently design a rocket, most of the things makes are overkill, I’ve never seen him play through a career (the only mode where efficiency is key).

Hi Matt, i´m quiet new in KSP1 but i love it. I am really impressed what you did here and what you build. Lander in a 2.5 meter box, -> Duna, out of the box, land, doing science things, take off and back into the box and safely back to Kerbin. Well, that looks all very easy when you doing this. Congrats to this successful mission. NASA should have asked you for help sooner /kappa And the most important result of the mission? If you can't manage the landing with gold aluminum foil, you didn't wrap enough aluminum foil! (like The Rock using much tape in skyscraper) I´m looking forward to the science update in KSP2 and many videos from you. Greetings from Berlin/Ger, Daniel
I can't wait for december when the science update, the fix for noddle rockets, the better atmosphere and reentry heating gets added to the game. WIll be waiting for Matt video about it to decide if i should buy the game there. 😁
NASA watches this video and then Bill Nelson shouts to his assistant, get Matt Lowe on the line we’re making him head of our discovery program now, then shouts Kevin your fired
I could sleep in a 2.5 cube. I could also play a board game with a few friends. We'd each have to sit in a corner and it would feel a little crowded, once you include the snacks, but it could work.
As someone who is extremely interested in space and thinks NASA is most of the time just wasting money like any government organization. I think Matt should be put in charge of NASA with absolutely no barriers to his command with an unlimited budget
KSP 2 should have built from the ground up to take care of the things that limit KSP, and it hasn't. Using Unity for a gigantic space simulation game is a _very bad_ decision. Not to mention all the other problems with Unity. Probably the best would've been to build everything in KSP from the ground up to support a space simulation game, which is quite different from what the commercially available game engines are designed for. Then it might have become something worth paying money for. But then again it is T2 that owns it now, so it probably shouldn't be bought by anyone anywhere.
Nasa holding their hands over their eyes crying while thinking about how useless humans are compared to kerbals. With their immortality, needs no food and water plus has perfect moral 100% of the time XD
Now, I find that Learning about Mars's atmosphere is a useful thing to do, but a way to one up it further would be to actually have the probe in a orbit that intersects the atmosphere by just skimming the top with a high apoapsis but a very low periapsis. This is Just an Idea that popped into my head during the intro and starting of the build.
The items-still-in-storage thing is a bug, yes. Under some conditions, things that you take out of storage while on EVA can get duplicated. According to a quick web search, the problem is most often triggered when entering command pods after changing inventory while on EVA.
fun fact: you can use eva science experiments multiple times although, i had have a bug where it disapears, but not during use. i think that bug is where kerblas inventory got reset to default, but most of the times i can use eva science experiments multiple times
The pseudoarrogance is cracking me up so hard! 🤣Though having said that, it's a sweet & sour kind of joke and it did get a little too strong for my taste. The early part of the video could perhaps have used a little bit more talk about the lander or mission to break up the dunking on NASA. I can't wait to see how the competition turns out! 😄I've been hyped for it since I first heard about it. I hope you and Beardy have fun, Matt! Plymouth to France... I miss driving. I was based in Worthing and loved driving the A27 and A31; beautiful roads! I can't recommend the coastal route to Dover though, there aren't enough bypasses for such a long distance. I love that lander! 😄I'll look into the box challenge. I'm fine with how your videos look, Matt. I like seeing what's going on so much that even when playing on my own, I delay my own dockings until they're on the light side just because it looks better. *Light-siders unite!* 😂 You know, it is pretty funny that you were dunking on NASA while your own ship is missing a solar panel like some beaten-up old banger. 🤣 Oh man, flying on Kerbin. That lander really is something else! :D The Twitch engine is amazing! Its only weakness is its Isp, but it's so light... Sorry for the long comment. I've been trying to cut down, but my life's not all right at the moment and I just... I hope each paragraph was light and fun, at least.
To be fair, any space agency has to keep their probe's high gain antenna constantly pointed towards Earth when it's far away and the omnidirectional antennas don't have enough gain. Would it be possible to make a correction burn while maintaining the high gain antenna correctly pointed? Also, kerbals don't have to worry about Sun radiation nor the Van-Allen Belts' radiation that limit the inclination and angle of ejecting of tripulated vessels.
I wonder what NASA unlocked on the tech tree with the 478 science earned 😂
not much, that’s why they’re stuck using space shuttle parts for the SLS
@@mcdonallink1906they also still used the RS-25
