I discovered your channel some years ago and was fascinated with your family dynamics. I have a small family and I am happy. But I must say I was always inspired by the caring and love that you all showed for each other. And I just recently found out about Grant‘s passing. My condolences and God bless everyone of you. I also wanna add that I’m homebound and find your videos very uplifting and a real inspiration. You didn’t preach but you could see that God was in your life. Thank you and God bless.

I remember when the first video of Bryson's build showed up in my recommended stack. I was hooked and binged everything on the MLH channel. You all have grown so much and accomplished so much since then. The shop build is going to be a whirlwind of a project if everyone shows up to help. I started watching when Garron’s build was going up and was hooked right away. It’s so nice to have Shae back home, she was truly missed. In today’s time it’s wonderful to see families such as yours. Thank you for being you. Love you guys.
I've "stalked" your family ever since Bryson's building was in the plans, and it's amazing to see how much you've accomplished! Maybe one day you'll host workshops to teach others how to be modern rennaisance wonders like yourselves! From designing and building unique structures down to 3D-printing the cabinet knobs, there's no way of estimating the amount of skills you've all brought together as a dream team to do what you've done, and to do what you've got planned for the future!
Bree & Jared, thanks for taking us along on the revisiting all the buildings and seeing again how fantastic they are with each of y'alls ideas and designing. The "Grand Finale" was seeing y'alls cute PJ's you have for sale!!! God bless

Our family also have a tradition of a Christmas Eve gift of new pajamas every year too! We pick a theme and all get one with that theme. Last year was Star Trek. This year is Pokémon. You’ve given me an idea now for next year’s theme😉

I’ve been watching since the bathroom build and have come to look forward to Wednesday and Friday videos. Congratulations on all the additions to the family since that bathroom build. Weddings and babies, it’s been fun watching the homestead grow.

It has been fascinating watching this family work together and the freedom to grow into the individuals each of the children have been provided.
One of the great things is that as each adult child moves off the family home there is opportunity for retirement income by doing air bnb for any vacated rooms

I like the individual rooms around a courtyard, and appreciate that there was value in learning on each one and making the next one better. Why not though? If you knew what you know now a single subdivided building would require substantially less linear feet of walls (material and effort) to contain the same square feet of floor space. That also makes it easier to heat and cool since you have less exterior walls, and can heat and cool the entire space with a single more efficient unit instead of multiple smaller ones. Additionally, you can lay out a larger structure so it has maximal solar heat gain in the winter but has minimal exposure in the summer, while small round structures are likely to all have the same solar exposure. You could still design a single structure with exterior doors around a central courtyard, with no interior doors, for sound proofing. You can also still build one room at a time, just stubbing out enough of the next section to allow you to finish the current one (walls would taper off).
