Kyle's domes are so ingenious and what a beautiful interior in the main house. It was so nice of him to help you out and save the marriage. Can't wait to see that first earth bag go down, so much closer now. Thank you for sharing.

The dome construction is amazing! So many possibilities, one could literally start with a number of earthbag courses up and possibly top it off with a dome! Oh the possibilities!

It is generous of you to share to us the idea of Kyle's geodesic homes! Plumbing is now done! With your meticulousness in the details plus Kyle's patient expertise, hopefully, there will be no plumbing disaster in the near or far future. One more process ticked and I get to see you all with the red bags again!

Seeing that plumbing all laid out and seemingly so quick has to be an enormous sense fo relief off all the TSH shoulders. Cloud was looking concerned, but when Kyle showed up, Cloud even relaxed and took naps. I really like the look of the interior of Kyle's Home Dome, and the GazeboDome would be the ultimate oasis in the desert to relax and take a nap. His hydro garden is going to be fantastic! I would like to see TSH maybe do a follow up visit or a collab where you all can go return the favor and help their family out. Does he have a TH-cam channel to follow? Tremendous amount of ideas to maybe incorporate.

Pretty interesting geodesic dome 👍. Don't forget too put knock out glue caps for all of the plumbing fittings. This will prevent debris and critters from getting in the lines, and the need too be in place for the water test. Congratulations!

Bonjour la famille et ainsi que Kyle. what an exciting and inspirational vidéo. Jonathan and Ashley, i'm super proud of you two. There's no shame in getting some help from time to time. His expertise is valuable and marriage saving. I'm about two light years away from you all and i want a dome to house my stuff at my forest home. ahhhhhh to dream. with the various pipes jutting through the trenches, i was reminded of a Mad Max movie: creative exhaust pipes on various vehicules. imagine too, if you connected a keyboard to the pipes and made desert music. i'd pay to hear that... it seems that i've spent too much time drooling over Kyle's hydropontic greenhouse. excuse me, i need to go the kitchen and find a health snack. see y'all tomorrow.

In the fifties , as a kid , I got to experience Buckminster Fullers new prototype dome in Kabul, Afghanistan at the World Fair . It was set up in panorama so as you stood under it it felt as if you were riding in a rollercoaster .It made a very lasting imprint on me and later as a freshman , I sat in the front row of a lecture that Bucky was gracing us with . Then later , as a hippie- ish art student I watched friends build a dome that they spayed with “ Ferro-cemet “ … so geodesics have had a special place in my heart for lots of years … your video was inspirational 🌝

Thanks Kyle for helping doing the plumbing at TSH! Where are your plumbing vents Jonathan? They are going to run in the frame walls right? Thanks for explaining about the beveling tool for the large pipe. Wow, those domes that Kyle built are incredible! The R value of that spray foam is fantastic! Would you consider doing some spray foam inside your hyperadobe house? It would be a thermal break from the thermal mass of the bags. I really like the two story house he made. It is amazing how quickly he can put a dome up! I'm so glad you spent all that time to get all the right plumbing pieces Jonathan! You're mostly running sanitary lines. All those drains! I'm so glad you put the steel well casing around the drain pipes going under the hyperadobe bags. You really wouldn't want a broken pipe below you in the future. The supply lines will be above ground? That makes sense since the water will come from a water collection tank. Thanks for this video Longnecker family!

If you want to learn everything you need to know about building a Geodesic dome. Research the man, the myth, the legend, R. Buckminster Fuller. Fuller was an American architect, systems theorist, writer, designer, inventor, philosopher, and futurist. My friends father was an art professor at Bucknell University. He loved these structures and was experimenting with them on his property during the 70's and 80's. The triangle shapes that make up the structure distribute the stresses evenly and enable these domes to carry very heavy loads for their size.
Take care. sincerely, Dean O. :-I

high five to the Homies . that pipe stamp system really has my mind racing with ideas . i'm sure im not the only one . i absolutely love the geodome ecosystem . i built one in the mojavi desert using steel poles wrapped in military camo-netting to cover a swimming pool area. it was amazing how it quickly de-desertified the area and my cantelopes and watermellons absolutely loved it. shade in the desert is a premium commodity . SO MANY GEODESIC DOMES! My dream is to have at least a couple of geodesic domes, one being a greenhouse, and the other my house. I have land now, and have come close to ordering a kit, but haven't quite figured out the logistics of getting it delivered, and built, really. But someday! Thanks to Kyle and his family for letting us all see their awesome homestead and domes for inspiration. I'd never heard of spray foam being used as the entire wall material (on a frame structure). I'll have to look into it to see if it's effective in Maine.

Good that you caught the trench angle early on. My sewer line is at too shallow an angle, and it causes ENDLESS amounts of trouble. But you caught it, and it is so good to see that forest of standpipes just waiting for stuff to be plumbed in! That tool is super cool, too. (You guys have the bestest toys.) THanks for the geodome tour. I fell in love with them way back when New Alchemy published their bound volumes of designs. Sorry not to see much of Ashley, but I gather she was doing the camera work for this one. So exciting! Those metal tubes now make sense, and you are getting closer and closer to earthbags!

Kyle's house surprised me, outside - and then again inside, but to be honoust... I prefere the plan of your adobe-roundhouse structure (: the inner circle, the textures of the excisting buildings, the glasbottles...). Aaah, what are 3 years in a lifetime...

Congrats on getting that plumbing done! Really enjoyed seeing Kyle's geodesic domes, very interesting. I loved the plants inside and the swings over the water. Your mountains are beautiful.

Scattering buildings around means so much extra surface to exude heat in winter and AC in summer. It's best to build onto existing structures and create shared wall space.

What's best is always dependent on the situation and individual goals. Having many different, separate buildings can allow for individuals to spread out when needed, and then come together again, for example. No one wants to have a messy, noisy, occasionally toxic workshop with power tools and other loud machines in the same building that people sleep and prepare food. And even having separate buildings for individuals/couples as well as a central building can give everyone some of their own precious space to be themselves. While everyone living in massive apartments is more energy efficient, it's not necessarily as emotionally, or even physically, efficient, because we naturally have so many different needs.

Thanks for the head's up on the deburring tool! I have some plumbing jobs in my future and any help is welcome. Except for the help that says I am an old lady and shouldn't be doing it. Love the forest of pipes sticking up! I got a little weepy with absolute JOY!! Excellent idea for the plastic pipe covers(metal) at the wall junctions. Great to see people working together and willing to learn new scarey things from others. God bless your friend! Also, it was a treat to see how he bulit his own home and his out buildings! An aquaponic dome sounds great! Watch closely. I'm sure he will share what worked, what didn't, and what he will do to correct it! I am so looking for the day you complete your first circle!🖖🍁🌙🐈‍⬛🎃🍄🍂🫖🐓🥧Oh, how I want a pizza oven!
