As Gary said, "Welcome to my Potty!" If you are gonna have a poo party, might as well be some really nice friends joining in. Love MLH, I have went back and watched all their episodes. I am working on all the pre-homestead videos you all have posted, I "got in" about the time you started building the Solar Shed, and have watched the early stuff up until the Tiny Shiny Home gut and rebuild. I will get back to those very soon. I hope the chickens are enjoying their 'new' home too! I am glad your doggos sleep inside the TSH in case those wild dogs come back. See y'all next time!

It's called a door jam. A style would be the side pieces on a cabinet door part of the frame of the door. The top and bottom pieces are called rails. So you have a jamb which gets checked for plumb both ways, shimmed if necessary and nailed to the framing, those are called legs. You should start with the hinge side. Then use a framing square and make sure the head piece is square with the first leg. Shim and nail. If your door is square and parallel measure your door width and add about the width of two nickels stacked. Take that measurement and cut a spreader that you can use to set the latch side leg. Shim and nail. 24 or so of those and you might have some of the variables figured out. You guys are doing great, especially asking for help when you need it. Remember one thing,

I just viewed Gary's memory video on the mylittlehomestead channel. The news of his sudden death is truly sad. How lucky you all were to spend this day together. Gary's smile and humor was incredible. It may be difficult with the construction of your forever home ramping up, but I hope y'all might find time to help with the completion of his workshop. I got confused why the styles came down! It's great that Gary and family came over to help you put the jamb and door stops to hang the door for the "Potty Palace". Conflatulation! It looks great! I like the unique door!

I'm on carpentry school and I still forget the names of parts of things so I just make them up based on what they do. Like on a door frame I'd call it the wood that stops the door from swinging the wrong way.😂 Oh yeah. I'm totally ready to build my own house one day. Haha.
