I realize I'm kind of hogging the channel today. I just wanted to add that while Hayden is teaching (which is hard work, by the way) Ashley is making a super delicious lunch, and Jonathan is doing background stuff. Running a workshop takes a lot of hard work. I'm sure the kids are doing their share, as well. Thank you for not only doing this, but taking the time to edit footage and share it with those of us who are watching from home. You are the best.
I concur
Hayden is AMAZING!! What an inspiring teacher and obviously has enormous experience. Rare combination to be able to do the skill successfully and also teach with kindness and clarity.
Haden is meticulous is his planning and implementation of the dome. I can hardly wait to see the door and windows being added. It will be beautiful. But the interesting part is that when I watch the video it makes the internal space small that I can’t see how a bed could fit. LOL but I am sure at the end I will see the true space inside as a nice place to sleep. Thanks for the video.
Cloud is already staking the space out for a doghouse!
I love how the dog just plops down in the middle of all the activity. Lol.😅😂😅
Wouldnt it be great if we could all be as industrious as ya'll? Thank you for your workshop and sharing it with us.
I’m glad I have a fireside view of the build. I love watching construction. I’m too old to vigorously participate anymore! Good going team! ❤
Same 😂
Same, 😊👍
I love your hard work and family values regarding the same. I am also impressed by the revenue streams you have created as you go along. Your attention to detail is impressive as is your ability to find and seize opportunity. Anyone can build if all the resources are at hand, however, you have found, created, and utilized resources. Let's face it. It ain't a cheap operation, but all the tools and materials you have acquired are a result of planning and execution. 132K subscribers, workshops, gear, etc. IMPRESSIVE! You will at some point be the #1 alternative building YT site. Congratulations!
Your channel is one of the few that I really look forward to successive episodes. Thanks for sharing your journey.
It's looking awesome guys!!!🎉 We are honored to sponsor so excellent workshop!❤😊
Good morning hope you guys are having a wonderful class day and guys have a great day out there and have fun and enjoy life and God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for ALL you do, to bring "us" along with you as you learn new skills and make your dreams come true.
That was great how Hayden showed how to have a great folded end for the buttress bag. That is so cool seeing it built. Thanks Vegega for sponsoring the second day of the Superadobe Dome Building Workshop. I really like your raised beds. I love Hayden's shirt, "Dome Sweet Dome!" This has been very interesting to watch guys. Thanks for documenting this workshop and sharing it with us. It'll be fun to see it completed. You Longneckers and Hayden and all the workshop participants are awesome!
Ditto!!😊
I’m interested to see how the entrance to this project is going to work out! So far it doesn’t appear that the walk-in is very walk-in-able. But of course I’m sure you have it all in the plans! I often wish that I could participate but I can’t picture myself being very helpful. I would probably last one day and then have to recover for at least two or three days before I could start on day two. You all work so hard. WOW! I’m tired just watching you!
The work is pretty well distributed with that many people so that’s nice. We’ll be building steps and installing a door
Wow! It does not look as easy as I thought it would be! There is a lot of WORK involved. Kudos to all of you that participated in the workshop!
I think strawbale would be quicker and easier, but that's just me 😊👍❤️
@@col2560I've done some building, and at one point took a good, long look at strawbales. They aren't as simple ore as cheap as you might think, and they do involve a lot of wood framing. Plus, you've still got to plaster or stucco them to keep the rain off and out.
@@jo-ellenbass2261 just like these bags
You guys must be exhausted after hosting all these people ❤, thanks for the lovely video.
OMG those cookies!! SOOOO GOOOOD! Can you ship? Actualllyyyyy.... Maybe I'll drive back down from Utah for lunch. It'd be WORTH IT. Y'all, we ate so well while we were there. Ashley took such good care of us
So, what I am seeing with this workshop is Hayden taught a new way of starting and ending a bag. Wow no more knots, that's incredible~ Much more tidy and watching the ears on the ends too, it looks like, awesome! Love the new building way and the videos as always, thanks, Tiny Shiny~!!
I feel like cooming home whenever a new video is posssted
Hayden is an amazing teacher! It's so exciting to see this come together. Thank you for sharing this workshop, it's very inspiring!!!
Great! I’ve watched these wonderful folks ever since they were new settlers in the area that would become their Home!
I miss those wide open spaces and views. Looking forward to see the dome rise. :)
The dome leveled by the worm! OK nice job, thank you!
Fun to see so many people totally jazzed and learning tons. There's gonna be a lot more of these adobe bag buildings in the near future.
That sunrise on the mountains reminded me of the sunsets on the Sandia Mtns in Albuquerque, Sandia meaning watermelon! Just beautiful!!! Love watching the building process! This is great! And Ashley, you are forever the best hostess!!! I hope and pray the grocery shopping went well🙏
It's great to see how things are coming along with the build.
Looking great and interesting to watch too..Those mixers are really doing a great job making it faster to fill the bags..Love n Light to you all 🥰
Think about getting a quad with a small trailer for the TSHome. Less trips, energy saved and the kids will love it.
feel free to leave your donation :)
Ohhh day two was great, excited to see more...ta darling's......😊
I love how methodical all this building is
Good on yar Hayden. Greetings from Wide Bay QLD. Loooooooved this. Jonathan and Ashley you did soooooooo great. All the effort was worth it. Kids, soooooo proud of you and your positive attitudes and the help you give Mum and Dad. That’s why I love your channel. Can see doggies got a lot of loving too. Great.
Thanks for sharing this workshop. Learning from Hayden is such a great opportunity and it looks like people are really enjoying. Looking forward to the time I can be there as well.
Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow :)
❤TY for the VIDEO 😊 PEACE
Awesome!!! 👏 hugs from Texas
This is great.
Great job of day 2🤠
There are more differences between the superadobe and the hyperadobe than I would have expected. The Superadobe creates a much tidier, structured build, but the hyperadobe seems to go together more easily -- and to be more forgiving of mistakes. I wonder how this type of building would compare to cob or wattle and daub? Or even to traditional adobe bricks?
It’s looking awesome guys!! 🎉❤😊
Cool project!!!😊🎉❤
🎉Cheers
So exciting 🎉
Well done day. Great video. Stay warm and safe.
Y'all are the bomb diddly!!! ty..xoxo ❤
It looks complicated, but it will save some time and money not having to build a roof for it. ❤
Does the Australian guy have a TH-cam channel? would love to see what's he's doing back home.
Yeah, he has a channel: youtube.com/@curvatecture5178?si=Qu2nG4-yIv6eRBn3
You bet :) here I am 😅
Nice! thank you!!@@curvatecture
I am super interested in seeing how you are going to fit a bed in this dome. Doesn't seem like it will be big enough. But I'm excited to see!!
It’s nine foot across. It’ll be a custom bed. As long as someone’s not 9’ tall they’ll fit just fine:)
I have wondered the same
Sometimes a cover is all you need to protect from a frost
Less about the frost, more about all the tables and chairs being wet ;)
One of my favourite performers is a hurdy gurdy player called Barb Dwyer. She's on TH-cam, Brittany Littany is good.
Where have you stashed the other 3 dogs?
Loving the workshop content!
Doodles are inside, Trona's in the paddock. Can't all be out together with so many people around.
Hello 👋 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Merhaba iyi çalışmalar sizi takipte ısrarlıyım yapılar ilgimi çekiyor sizi kutlarım. Çocuklara sevgiler mutlu kalın.
❤
So happy I found Tiny shiny Home. Love everything about your shows. Found you by watching perma culture vids. M first video was when you installed your swales, Greening the desert.
Did have a question about the bags you were using. How would hemp bags do?
Thanks! Don’t think hemp bags would hold up very well.
Ive always wondered if you have to use superadobe bags to make a dome, or if you could make one faster with hyperadobe
Jury’s still out. Haven’t seen a successful hyperadobe dome yet.
hi gang love sue
first !!! \0/
❤️👍👍👍
Whats become of the house build? I thought that was a priority.
This is going fast
I have a question for Hayden where can you get those long bags in Australia please
wow it's been a millennium since you've been on
4 days? th-cam.com/video/sh23xCatrlM/w-d-xo.html
would scoria work ok for the fill ??
🤠👋❤️
Just curious on what decided the size of this dome?
A number of factors including cost, inside space, purpose, and what could realistically be completed in a week.
Maybe a dumb question, but why make such a small building? Maybe through the camera the space looks smallll 😂. Is there room to lay down? Asking for a friend. 😆😂😉😙
It's a 9' dome, plenty big enough for a bedroom. Any larger and it wouldn't get completed during the weeklong workshop.
What's happening with the house build?
Sorry, what were you saying? I keep getting distracted by a fluffy doggy belly.
Hayden, what happened to the hair and beard?
Brilliant. I don’t know which TH-camr came up with the idea to do these workshops where outsiders PAY to come and work. It’s like ranchers who allow hunters to come on their property and PAY to shoot gophers.
Comments like this are ridiculous. We could have built this ourselves much faster. Taking the time to deeply educate, explain, and give hands on instruction - not to mention plan, prepare, and feed 20 people everyday for a week is so much more work than just building it ourselves. This is about much more than a dome - we're creating a community, and if all you can see is "free" labor you're ENTIRELY missing the point.
Not so totally different from running what used to be known as a "dude ranch." The point was never to herd cattle or to shoot gophers, but to give people a chance to get outdoors, feel as well as see how to work with these materials, and, yes, to create community. You do Community super well. @@TinyShinyHome
It's all hard work, just feeding all those people must be hard. I'm sure no one makes any money from this. 😊👍
You maybe could...but you'd have to charge a lot. What Jonathan, Ashley, their kids, and Hayden are doing here is answering questions for people who are visual learners and an opportunity for people who need to learn by using their hands. Huge thanks to all of them!
