When I gain weight it doesn’t pile up in my butt. It goes to stomach. I do 2 glute days a week and lift heavy and go hard-still no real glutes. I’m built more straight up and down, no hour glass figure what so ever. 2 years in. Sometimes genetics is a major factor, but I won’t give up. I’m thankful I was blessed with upper body muscles.🔥

What I'd suggest is that you divide your leg days into two. Where you train your quads on one day, then glutes on another but make sure they're spaced out by maybe a day or two. Do progressive overload on the days you're training your glutes but not at the expense of your form. Practice mind-muscle connection and prioritise slow controlled reps over fast reps.
On the days when you train your glutes, incorporate exercises like RDls,Hipthrusts,Step-ups,BSS, etc. Please be keen on your protein intake,have proteins with every meal, and eat at a calorie surplus. All the best, and may the gains be with you 💪
@@kirugarankatha I did and do everything you said to a T and continue. I took my leg/glutes days back down to once a week due to chronic fatigue. I miss the 2 days of it as I would do a quad and glute day, but my cns is thankful I scaled that back, plus I go super hard on my upper body days as well. I will continue on progressing and thanks for all your advice!🤍

Love your nuanced take on nutrition! To anyone with thyroid issues, your "calorie in vs calories out" equation may not be so straightforward. It still is true, but if you decrease your calories in too much, then you will decrease your calories out as well due a decrease in metabolism, and it becomes a race to the bottom. Again, if you have thyroid issues (it regulates your hormones) then you should consult with an endocrinologist.

Has anyone had bad side affects from creatine? I was reading them and they made me a worry wart. I’m a bit new to my gym journey. I’ve already gotten amazing results for my glutes but I still have a belly I desperately want to get rid of and so far that hasn’t budged. But this video has definitely given me the insight I needed!! Thankyou!!
Absolutely not! Taking creatine for me personally was the best thing I’ve ever done. Been using it for 2 1/2 yrs and I have lost 45 lbs overall and I maintained my curves and of course calorie deficit and IF (18/6 window)

i haven’t noticed any side effects and i’ve been taking it for 3 months, just remember to drink enough water (if not, it could cause side effects, or at least that’s what i read). i personally drink about 4L every day (i’m 64 kg and 160cm tall)

@@ccandelaa I read that too and that’s another reason I’ve been stalling with creatine. I’ve always been bad with water intake but I’ve been training myself to drink a gallon everyday. Im getting more confident with my water intake so I think I’m going to try it soon! Thankyou for the insight!

So, when you are cutting one needs less calories and high proteing?
I’ve heard a body builder say that when you are cutting, you need to reduce your protein intake. Protein tends to have a lot of fat and calories. Still eat protein but you definitely won’t be eating the same amount as before.
You are right. High protein will prevent you from losing muscles in the process.
How are we to know how much to cut? How is that even calculated?
I’m skinny fat and work a physically demanding job.
By the time I get to the gym, I can’t even lift, I’m getting weaker rather than stronger. I spoke to the gym instructor who wasn’t much help. Told me to eat a hearty meal 1hr before my workout, calculated how much calories I should consume according to weight, height and age. But this is so inaccurate because my friend is the same age, same size but she weighs 1 stone lighter than me. 2 years I’ve been going at this and I’ve seen no real results.
She bulks and cuts like it’s nothing 🤷♀️
i recommend you TDEE calculator, or Benedict Harris calculator to know how much to cut or bulk, or mantain
