I love seeing actual innovation like the programmable touchscreen and other small displays. If I were still in the market, this would have been very high on my list.
Awesome review (as usual). I've owned this HOTAS for about month and I entirely agree with everything you've said. This unit has more features than I can currently use, which I love, and it offers a lot of headroom for growth and opportunities. I really like this HOTAS and I think it is a great value!
This looks to be a great set up. I like how customizable it is. The only things that would hold me back are the price and the fear that I'd be happier with a dual stick set up. Thanks for the review, N00b!
For Airliner some form of feedback for the throttles would be very useful, especially when it changes automatically by the selected aircraft. A vibration motor is a good start, we will see what the software will do in the future. The games need the communication interface to the driver first...
I returned mine because the yaw was JUMPY with the value getting stuck then maxing out. but good to see that they allow you to change the keybinds on the touchscreen - previously, they were fixed per region of page and for each page which was tremendously lame. also found the stick ridiculously stiff and it just didn't have enough buttons on the stick for DCS. I'd need at least an SCS, TDC and trim but there just aren't enough inputs and not really great for dcs.
I've enjoyed mine for five months now, much better build than x-52 or 56, but it is twice the price. (edited because it turns out the one problem I reported was operator error) Highly recommend. Otherwise, fun HOTAS.
I do like the touch screen. I have a vkb and use game glass on my phone to do much the same. It works really well for me. I would still recommend VKB over this stick.
Thank you for the presentation. Do you know if there are any programs available that are ready to be used with this kit for Fliht Simulator? (Merci pour la présentation, savez-vous s'il existe actuellement des programmations déjà prêtes à être utilisé avec ce kit pour Fliht Simulator)
wish they would make a throttle group and stick without all those adjustable settings and assignments that was just well tuned for the casual xbox x users. Honestly this video makes it sound very very intimidating to set up and us casual users really just want a super solid product out of the box without the uneeded do dads.
This thing has so many buttons I think it could of done without the 2 touchscreens to greatly reduce the cost. This could of been the best choice on the market if it was around the $300 range finally putting a nail into those awful logitech sticks that people wont stop buying because they're the only sub $300 option.
i would love to get one, but it's not available in my country. I could import one from Amazon, but the import duties are like 1/3 of what the device costs
Did you say $500??? That thing looks like something you’d find in the toddler section at Toys R Us. That is not a good value for someone just starting off. There’s WAY better options out there.
Can you list some Manufacturers? I am planning on getting a HOTAS or HOSAS for Games like FS25, WarThunder, StarCitizen and similar. I have been looking at Virpil as I am willing to spend more money on it and use it on pretty much 50% of the games I play daily. I was hoping there might be something cheaper that isn't just cheap Plastic with High Deadzone...
i am sending mine back. trying to play DCS world or MSFS2020 and the touch pad on the throttle... is full on garbage. you cant assign key binds to the touch screen. say you wanted to assign lights on a airbus.. when using the touchpad in game.. you get an error and it doesnt assign anything... the touch screen is just keyboard letters.. thats it.. its terrible. Same, it's so versatile but ultimately playing SC requires a dual stick setup - IMO.

Extremely late, but if you don't already know, Moza released a Force Feedback Stick. It's the AB9, but lacks a lot of support.
Thank you for another detailed product review.
Wow nice Hotas and great review.
Wow I been waiting for this for ages
Thanks for checking it out!

Is the joystick base a cup-and-ball style, or some other kind of stick?
Yes, and plastic
new plastics are not that bad as in previous years. Things like Vesconite are high quality and durable.
They look cool.
But how well does it work with Star Citizen?
twcs throttle with gladiator NXT EVO is the best setup for the money.

I don't see a problem. There are ton of simple controllers for you. But only one for advanced users, this.
Nice review. But at $400 I'll stick with my VKB HOSAS. $50 less and no unneeded gimmicky gadgets to go bad.

The 95% would be good in Star Citizen as the new flight model punishes 100% throttle in strafing, seeing you can't tricord straif any more.

I mean, in general a HOTAS is fine and this is a fine HOTAS. If that makes sense
I actually went to a dual VelocityOne stick setup from T16K and it's a massive improvement for me.
HOTAS for SC is not the most optimal setup
Two weeks old and used 3 times and flight stick just stopped working the next time I fired up the pc. Support sent me a rma.
