Just sold mine yesterday, genuinely saddest moment of my life watching it drive away. Best car I've owned by a country mile, the sound is FAR better in person. Videos don't convey the true tone. Plus the power is far more usable than the 981 (driven a few of them).
I think I don't have the same definition of daily :) Try to take your girlfriend on a few days vacation with this car or go to the store and buy something that is bigger than a handbag ^^. It sure is a nice car, but as a true daily, something like a Golf R is way way more practical (or the Leon Cupra which is quite cheap, so more budget for the 360)
Forget all the haters man, to my ears the car sounds great. Here's a thing though, everyone makes the assumption that you must go with the S model, (more power right)? Give the base 718 with sport exhaust a whirl. Power difference negligible but a lot better sound, (more crackles & burbles) especially at low revs on the overrun. The difference in price for me was not an issue, (around £7,000) but i still went for the base model and i have to say i'm absolutely delighted with it's usability as a daily. Seriously the best sports car on the market IMO! Great dilemma you have there my friend!
Do you drive it spiritedly or only as a daily? I had the same dilemma as you. I first started at a 718 base, then 718 S with all performance options, and eventually 981GTS. the sound and emotions of ripping through the backroads just demolished the 718s. 718 was more capable, but I simply found no reason to push it as far as the 981. There's just not much emotions. If you are daily driving and pretty much nothing else, then none of this matters anyways and the 718 base is a great choice over any other options in the market!
718 all the way. Had the pleasure of driving one and you're right; it's the complete package. And honestly the sound is in my opinion alright... I rather like it. Currently drive an ATS-V, but the 718 will probably be my next car.
Test drove a 718 not long ago. What a machine! People still stop and smile at you and even tell you it sounds nice when you rev it in traffic (all this on a 30 minute test drive). But for me it’s gotta be the 981. Sound and emotion wins all day in my book. Can’t wait to pick mine up in April, with Sports Exhaust of course
981 GTS, holds value really well and there's no comparison in the exhaust note. The new 4 cyl really sucks imo. You save a bit of fuel on the 4 cyl but you will lose a lot more on depreciation.
I have championed the Porsche from the start of this series and surely it’s the winner, fantastic car and you can see the love on Sams face, he is smitten by it and didn’t want to give it back which says it all
We've got the PSE (sports exhaust) on our macan GTS and its a lovely note for normal people! The Macan GTS is 0-62 in 5 seconds flat, with comfy ride, great cornering, and room for 4 people even if they're 6' 2"!
I drive a 981 Cayman and it is a fantastic car. Haven’t yet driven a 718, but I can’t see how it could be disappointing... engine noise is one thing, but the overall experience must be amazing. The Cayman is a great and highly underrated car.
Buy it, but spec it with a nice color combination like dark gray with yellow brake callipers, yellow stitching and black wheelsand other accents. This car is my dream car and I would love to see it in this channel...
I'm a humongous 718 & 981 cayman fan!!!! Like you said, the car really captures that sense of occasion, yet is completely useable on a daily basis. I've been able to daily 2 981s and now a 718s and I'm just blown away, both on the road and the track. Also THE POPS AND BANGS oh my god. Really hope you get to spend more time with the car!
There is something intangibly good about PORSCHE ownership. They are just really, really good to own. They feel good, they sound good, they are soooooo solidly built. In 5 years, a Porsche still feels like it is hewn from rock. The steering in every Porsche I have owned is telepathic, you think... it steers. They don’t go wrong. I’ve had Boxsters and I now own a 2004 Carrera 4S and it still never fails. It never needs an adivisory on its MOT. Yet it is still a thoroughbred sports car with frightening acceleration, brilliant brakes, and that perfectly weighted steering. Also I bet that the Cayman S is probably as good as anything Porsche make as a daily driver. 2 boots is always good too!
Look at a c63 or c43 sedan or coupe. It's the perfect package, fast and luxurious and it can be a perfect daily if you get it as a sedan with four seats and a large boot.
Well he probably will also use the next daily for some long trips, therefore performance car makes some sense because when he finds some nice mountain roads in South France or Switzerland, or German Autobahn, he can still hoon it. I'm not sure how much fun he would get driving an SQ5 on those roads. With that said I'm not sure if it has to be *this* sporty. He himself said this is less about which car he likes the best. But more about which car is the most usable for his purposes.
I testdrove the boxster S and will have one on order this spring (need to get my dividends paid first) please take the sport exhaust, it changes everything ! Funnily I owned a 4C before ... and go for the boxster so much more than the cayman for an extra 1,500
driving pleasure is not always about speed, you can get from point A-B quicker but i would rather get there later with a bigger smile on my face and a more memorable experience.
They are different cars and I get the passion for Ferrari, older or newer. But I’d just drop the Ferrari and get the Cayman GTS... it’s all the sports car anyone needs.
I always liked STG the most (from all these youtubers). The chemistry between Sam and Tony is perfect and making this channel even better! I just don't get why STG doesn't have more subs...
I daily a Porsche Boxster S and it is a decent daily. 2 boots are a plus. Quite a bit of space and I always surprise people by how much I can fit in it.
The 718 Cayman seems to be one hell of daily. It's well made, luxurious enough, comfortable enough and it is most definitely fast enough. The noise from that 4 cilinder boxer engine would be a dealbreaker for me, but if you don't mind that then the 718 Cayman is perfect.
This car seems to be very popular but surely this car defeats the object of a daily in terms of practicality/boot space/amount of seats and also long drive comfortability etc?
Nice bit of kit, looks like a fun car that you won't get bored of quickly and I like the aesthetics. Not sure why people hate the sound, it's got a nice little boxer burble to it that would sound awesome with a set of decent pipes.
betaich it will have already lost the bulk of It’s depreciation, keeping it and using whatever budget is available to source a better Ferrari makes more sense to me
Seen Through Glass I don't understand though, since you love the abarth so so much, why get rid of it? It would save you some money for those inevitable ferrari maintenence fees ;)
Sam,I had 981 GTS. I ran it for 10k and loved every mile. I regret selling it. If you like the car buy it. Don't listen to anyone who gives you a hard time when they cant afford to even consider it.Its a fantastic car and a brilliant daily.
G'day M8 i was thinking the same thing. i like both really, although i know their both way different but the same 2 seat mid-engine layout and rear wheel drive. to my eyes its like a refined "luxury edition " if you will, 4c. Except with a porsche badge.
I tried the 718 and the 718 S, I’ve found a huge difference between them and not only for the 50 cv of difference. If you go for the 718, pick up the S! For sure!
YES! Go for the Cayman! I own a Boxster as a daily and I love it to bits! I personally think that the 981 was the most beautiful of all generations yet, but I do not deny the fact that the 718 is better from an engeneering stand point. As such I don`t care which generation ou pick, but believe me, the Cayman will make you happy! Every day!
I dont know why I would regret 4 cylinders though ... my Abarth is 4 cylinders haha. I can understand going from 981 GTS to 718 you might feel deflated, but for my first Porsche, the 718 feels so complete
Don't get a 981 Cayman GTS. One day you'll drive past a showroom and sitting in the front window will be a Cayman GT4 and you will feel inadequate as fuck. The 718 is also a better car in every way other than the sound so why wouldn't you?
I have a Cayman S 981. It sounds amazing. You're right, the 718s are 'better' cars but don't underestimate that sweet sound of the 6 cylinder! I wouldn't trade it for a 718 in a million years!
Dylzhaar I drove the 718S for 2 days and I bought the 981 Gts, the sound of the engine and the interiors in carbon/full leather/alcantara are simply umbeliavable
?????? so why doesn't the theory apply for 718s? there is going to be a 718 GT4 as well.... or a 718 GTS. are you high? 718 GT4 is likely going to be 6 cylinder NA, and maybe even slower than a 718 GTS. but GT cars aren't always about speed, its about being a true driver's car with emotions and personality. Both of which the 718 lacks in great details. Driving a 981GTS does not make you feel inadequate as fuck. It only makes you feel "thank god I got this car before it stopped production". You must be new to the Porsche world. Half the time its not about the new Porsches, but about keeping the old Porsches (hint, 930. 964, etc. look how old they are yet how desired they are, people like you back then made the argument that "water cooled is simply better and more capable", and guess what, the air cooled stayed as legends and highly thought after cars.)
Le Billet Auto (LBA TV) bruh the ford gt costs 500k and it has only a 6 cylinder, its sad but its true, engines are going to get smaller and smaller by the next years
Daniel M as you said, sad but true. As amazing as it is, i woud never put 500k in a Ford GT when an Aventador S is half the price for one of the best V12 in history 😉
YESSS!!!! SAM should *definitely* get the new A110. It is the only car that surpasses the Abarth and 4C in terms of speciality, rarity, and uniqueness.
I had one of those for a weekend whilst my 991 was at the dealer & drove it up to Silverstone & although it's a great car the noise drove me mad after a while. So before you go down that route get hold of one for a longer drive.
I like the sound of the 718s... It has its own personality now! Instead of being just the "almost perfect mid-engine 911" it now is just a thing of its own!!
i think its a great idea because it is a sports car which is reasonably practical and for places that the 360 cant go youll have a daily that sort of fulfills the same needs.
NO. No flat 6. That exhaust note is horrific. I do not care how fast it is supposed to be. That doesn't matter, especially in a a daily. One of the best things about Porsche's, the engine note, has been ruined. No no no.
This is definitely the car to have, it's the ultimate daily, there is nothing better imo but I'm biased, I have owned one for the past six months. But in that colour looks so much nicer than my white one. 👌🏼
If you look at the megane sport performance vs cayman s for the price, they're a fantastic car without the outlandish boy racer design of the silly Type R @MunroM84 :D
Of course, but then you would have to hide your face when you drive it in public because its one fugly looking car that clearly looks like it has been designed by a 15 year old white lightning drinking, asbo awarding kid :D
I think this is a brilliant "daily", I recon the engine doesn't sound bad at all, yes, if you think about the old engine, that sounded better, and compared to that, people will hate it, but imagine that any usual 4 banger sounded like that, you would love it.
The sound the sound the sound .... may tick a lot of other boxes but the sound is so important in a sports car so that overrides everything. 981 every time. What's next, fully electric Porsche's? Whoopee!!
I tried both 981 GTS and 718 S and I can say few things: 718 improved handling and steering, two of the most important features in a sportscar; 718 doesn't sound so bad from inside, has better torque and they focused on high rpm even if turbocharged; of course 981 sound is more engaging but compared to other featured it loses from 718. Moreover I hate the long gearing of 981, for me an important point...gearing is so long to get to the exciting high rpm that second gear is like a fourth gear of other sportscar and this takes away most of the fun for me. I am open to discussion !!
Hey, subscriber and fan from the US here. Watch all your stuff. I am a die-hard Porsche guy. I am also a die-hard naturally aspirated engine guy, but I hear your points about forced induction and its inevitable place in sports cars. I am very excited at the prospect of you owning a Cayman. I agree the sound is easily the weakest part of that car but I would love to see how good you can get that thing to sound. There is no one else out there trying to do that. - Will
I think this is such an underrated car! I love it, but in general there is just a lot of hate for the 4 cylinder / 4 cylinder turbo car’s. I don’t get it, but hey to each his own I guess. I love it Sam!
718 Cayman S would be a great daily choice. If you have concerns about UK winters RS3 or TTRS (Nardo Gray, Black Pack) would be my choice. All three are great.
Now Sam I have been watching your channel for a while and I will always support you in what car you get but the 360 was just mind boggling. I was watching the video " I drive my dream car." In that video Sam drives the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale for the first time. In this video he says that he does not like the "normal 360" which just made me laugh. BRING BACK THE JAGGGGGGG. The F Type is the perfect car for you. It is fairly reliable. It's a perfect daily driver that you won't have to worry about driving around London and putting miles on it. And the noise is just amazing. Now you probably won't even see this but I just had to point this out. Good luck with the daily. (You need a Cayman or Velar)
Best car you can get for your purpose - useable, reliable, but at the same time a real drivers car, handling and chassis doesn't get better and it's a beauty too Porsche is just doing it right (except for the sound or let's say noise that comes out of the flat 4 - really don't know what they were thinking, regarding that they are building engines like in the GT3 that screams and shouts like there's no tomorrow and makes every single hair on your neck stand for days) Great video! Like the way you're doing your stuff, from videos to podcasts etc. - keep it up
I was chasing a 981 the other day and it sounded glorious. But there's nothing like a decent exhaust on this 718 which i am sure you will do in less than 2 months of owning it
Right. Sam. A Cayman isn't a daily. It is if you use it everyday. But then, but than measure, so is an Airbus A320. Give in to your inner SUV! SQ5? Range Rover? Waft around London. Easy winter driving. Carry stuff! Save this for the weekend freebies!
I have owned a Porsche continually since 1968. My 718 Cayman S with all of the performance options is simply the best. Adam, Tofino CA
OOOOOH, I HAVE OWNED A PORSCHE CONTINUALLY...
What a stellar comment, well done sir. You certainly know how to live.
718 gets my vote, I compared my 981 v 718 a while ago (see my vid) ok it was a boxster but much the same, both cars are peerless.
yes I saw that video, good one
Roger
Bailey
Roger Bailey How do you deal with the sound, it's not even passable it's just bad when you get going.
Sounds like a bag of shit.
This car is soooo underrated!!! I don't get the hate it gets.
Federico Grosso errr listen to the thing maybe your ears will bleed
People get so caught up in the engine, the fact its 4cyl not 6, but they miss that its a much better car than the 981 in every other way
Seen Through Glass you should ignore the hate and get it
You guys seriously underestimate this car. Its beautiful and sound is not everything.
Just sold mine yesterday, genuinely saddest moment of my life watching it drive away. Best car I've owned by a country mile, the sound is FAR better in person. Videos don't convey the true tone. Plus the power is far more usable than the 981 (driven a few of them).
I test drove a 718 Cayman S a few months ago, truly an incredible car! Very fast & fun.
At first I wasn’t sure. But now I think this is the perfect daily for you!
Same, it took me by complete surprise
I concur.
I didnt really like the 718... Till I saw the video. It´s just a proper Porsche. But a little smaller!!
I think I don't have the same definition of daily :)
Try to take your girlfriend on a few days vacation with this car or go to the store and buy something that is bigger than a handbag ^^.
It sure is a nice car, but as a true daily, something like a Golf R is way way more practical (or the Leon Cupra which is quite cheap, so more budget for the 360)
eddiefara yes u right mate
Forget all the haters man, to my ears the car sounds great. Here's a thing though, everyone makes the assumption that you must go with the S model, (more power right)? Give the base 718 with sport exhaust a whirl. Power difference negligible but a lot better sound, (more crackles & burbles) especially at low revs on the overrun. The difference in price for me was not an issue, (around £7,000) but i still went for the base model and i have to say i'm absolutely delighted with it's usability as a daily. Seriously the best sports car on the market IMO!
Great dilemma you have there my friend!
I did the same, epic car at base level
Do you drive it spiritedly or only as a daily? I had the same dilemma as you. I first started at a 718 base, then 718 S with all performance options, and eventually 981GTS. the sound and emotions of ripping through the backroads just demolished the 718s. 718 was more capable, but I simply found no reason to push it as far as the 981. There's just not much emotions. If you are daily driving and pretty much nothing else, then none of this matters anyways and the 718 base is a great choice over any other options in the market!
Buy it.
I honestly think that this is the best daily you can get. great looks, good performance, nice interior, big storage capabilities, and it is a porsche
718 all the way. Had the pleasure of driving one and you're right; it's the complete package. And honestly the sound is in my opinion alright... I rather like it.
Currently drive an ATS-V, but the 718 will probably be my next car.
Out of all the possible daily's so far I'd say this is the best option. It looks spectacular, especially with this paint and wheels.
Love the car love the video !!
Thanks!
Test drove a 718 not long ago. What a machine! People still stop and smile at you and even tell you it sounds nice when you rev it in traffic (all this on a 30 minute test drive). 981 GTS, holds value really well and there's no comparison in the exhaust note. The new 4 cyl really sucks imo. You save a bit of fuel on the 4 cyl but you will lose a lot more on depreciation.
If financial considerations are whats important, no one should ever buy a Porsche. Stick with a Honda .
Sorry, we're not all as rich as you to disregard all financial considerations.
Completely agree 🙌🏻
Scott Clark you think people with money just disregard sensible consideration for their finances once they can afford a nice car?
Yeah the GTS is a perfect buy right now.
I ordered a Cayman for use as a daily last year and after 17K miles in 12 months it has been great. Of the cars on your list it is the best choice.
5:09 just close your eyes and listen to that beautiful WRX sing
I have championed the Porsche from the start of this series and surely it’s the winner, fantastic car and you can see the love on Sams face, he is smitten by it and didn’t want to give it back which says it all
Tony has a certain Penfold thing going on from Danger Mouse.
terrortorn looks like a character from the board game "guess who."
I find him extremely irritating!!!
We've got the PSE (sports exhaust) on our macan GTS and its a lovely note for normal people! The Macan GTS is 0-62 in 5 seconds flat, with comfy ride, great cornering, and room for 4 people even if they're 6' 2"!
Think this is the best one Sam
The Porsche is the only one tugging your heart strings enough said can’t wait to see you driving it through the mountains in Europe
It would be a perfect duo, this and the 360
I drive a 981 Cayman and it is a fantastic car. Haven’t yet driven a 718, but I can’t see how it could be disappointing... engine noise is one thing, but the overall experience must be amazing. The Cayman is a great and highly underrated car.
Porsche for sure! With an after market exhaust?
Randy Lim No
Apparently the TechArt system is quite decent but lets wait and see what happens
Seen Through Glass Already looking up aftermarket options for it? No point in looking at any other cars so.
if upgrading the exhaust may as well put a proper engine in too...
Check out the armytrix
Sam I genuinely haven't commented on a TH-cam video in like 7 years so feel bloody special. Please buy this car so I can live vicariously through you.
Buy it, but spec it with a nice color combination like dark gray with yellow brake callipers, yellow stitching and black wheelsand other accents. This car is my dream car and I would love to see it in this channel...
I think this is the best if you still want something special to drive while also being slightly practical.
Love that car and I actually think it sounds good too
I'm a humongous 718 & 981 cayman fan!!!! Like you said, the car really captures that sense of occasion, yet is completely useable on a daily basis. I've been able to daily 2 981s and now a 718s and I'm just blown away, both on the road and the track. Also THE POPS AND BANGS oh my god. Really hope you get to spend more time with the car!
best option for you by far :)
I feel like you could be right
SQ5 is good as well*
Vlad Patru agree
There is something intangibly good about PORSCHE ownership. They are just really, really good to own. They feel good, they sound good, they are soooooo solidly built. The best of the cars you've checked so far. Even the spec on this is absolutely lovely!
TBH I don't really get the point of buying another small mid engine car besides 360. As a daily none the less.
Yeah, handling wise I'm sure this is way better than it. Best to go for the SQ5.
Well he probably will also use the next daily for some long trips, therefore performance car makes some sense because when he finds some nice mountain roads in South France or Switzerland, or German Autobahn, he can still hoon it. Sad times when your Cayman daily is faster than your Ferrari Supercar.
also looks better, handles better and probably is not going to break down in 1000 miles
driving pleasure is not always about speed, you can get from point A-B quicker but i would rather get there later with a bigger smile on my face and a more memorable experience.
Abdullah Adebayo I’d rather get there without breaking down.
His Ferrari is called the Poor mans ferrari for a reason it’s also 15 years old
They are different cars and I get the passion for Ferrari, older or newer. But I’d just drop the Ferrari and get the Cayman GTS... it’s all the sports car anyone needs.
I always liked STG the most (from all these youtubers). The chemistry between Sam and Tony is perfect and making this channel even better! I just don't get why STG doesn't have more subs...
The colour looks great!
The spec of this car is fantastic
I agree :)
Is that Chalk?
The paint colour is called ‘Crayon’. Big fan.
It does look gorgeous.
I daily a Porsche Boxster S and it is a decent daily. 2 boots are a plus. Quite a bit of space and I always surprise people by how much I can fit in it.
This is probably faster than the 360, both around corners and in straight line speed right?
Ashwin Krishnan quite possibly yes!
Ashwin Krishnan definitely, this does 0-62 in 3.6 secs and is crazy around corners and has a much better torque range
This video has changed my mind about this car. Seems massively usable
718 is the one
Thomas Semeniuk u right
The 718 Cayman seems to be one hell of daily. It's well made, luxurious enough, comfortable enough and it is most definitely fast enough. The noise from that 4 cilinder boxer engine would be a dealbreaker for me, but if you don't mind that then the 718 Cayman is perfect.

Why not keep the little Fiat and put the money towards buying a more significant Ferrari?
Maybe the Fiat looses to much value?
Because the 360 is the Ferrari I want :)
betaich it will have already lost the bulk of It’s depreciation, keeping it and using whatever budget is available to source a better Ferrari makes more sense to me
Seen Through Glass fair enough, they’re a bit old hat now but if it’s really what you want, enjoy 😊
Seen Through Glass I don't understand though, since you love the abarth so so much, why get rid of it? It would save you some money for those inevitable ferrari maintenence fees ;)
This is such a beautiful car. First car in the series that really gets me.
718 is a mad looking car. Sharkwerks exhaust, get rid of those horrid wheels, and you've got a banger in that beautiful grey.
Stef Otten Those wheels are amazing
Stef Otten A
kraenk12 0Y and I am a woman in my heart ❤️ is my wife I know she was my friend I am the daughter I know I
Sam,I had 981 GTS. I ran it for 10k and loved every mile. I regret selling it. If you like the car buy it. Don't listen to anyone who gives you a hard time when they cant afford to even consider it.Its a fantastic car and a brilliant daily.
This car somehow reminds me of your 4C.

This 718 is a pretty cool car... but for me it sound like a bad Megane RS :/ and 60k in a 4 banger ? Really ???
Le Billet Auto (LBA TV) bruh the ford gt costs 500k and it has only a 6 cylinder, its sad but its true, engines are going to get smaller and smaller by the next years
Agreed. Honestly Porsche really hurt this car with 718.
Daniel M as you said, sad but true. As amazing as it is, i woud never put 500k in a Ford GT when an Aventador S is half the price for one of the best V12 in history 😉
Why are people whining and hating about the 4 cylinder when they can't even afford it. It's better performance oriented than the inline 6.
Nah, it’s not about counting cylinders. However I agree, the sound is shocking.
As i said already at some point....I just adore that car. Its usable, fun to drive and just a great experience.
Abarths sound so much better than this
LOOK NO BRAKES
whaha never.
Jort Rinket You obviously haven't heard one then.
My dad replaced his Audi S4 with the 718 Boxter S and he is IN LOVE with the car.
This porsche 718 cayman is better than a audi tt rs
Except it misses a cilinder. Tt rs sounds better lol
LOL
But it's Slower, Less practical and has a miserable sound in comparison
chriskey99 yes the 5 cylinder sound better
ALAND Steven the cayman does have better handling but I just think the RS is a better overall package
Buy it mate, you won’t be disappointed… the performance & handling will quickly take your mind of the engine note
Alpine a110
IceFIsh Ugly Af
YESSS!!!! SAM should *definitely* get the new A110. It is the only car that surpasses the Abarth and 4C in terms of speciality, rarity, and uniqueness.
100%, the only pb is that the A110 isn't on production yet, unless he pre-ordered one month ago
I had one of those for a weekend whilst my 991 was at the dealer & drove it up to Silverstone & although it's a great car the noise drove me mad after a while. So before you go down that route get hold of one for a longer drive.
Get a macan Turbo!!!
With a little tune, and a nice wrap or paint, the most sensible choice!
You should wait for the new Alpine to test it
I like the sound of the 718s... It has its own personality now! Instead of being just the "almost perfect mid-engine 911" it now is just a thing of its own!!
Why don't you test drive a Maserati Granturismo?
i think its a great idea because it is a sports car which is reasonably practical and for places that the 360 cant go youll have a daily that sort of fulfills the same needs.
981
I like the sound. And it’s tradition for the 718 to be a flat four.
yellow M2
Disgusting and generic
M2 in general!
I know it's trash I don't even know why I said that, I hate BMWs
Yeezy Yeezy bmws are the best, wtf?
Yeezy Yeezy dude no don't say that
Go for it Sam, Its quick fun and reliable. The turbo gives it helps of torque and improves the fuel consumption. And its a Porsche!!
Heaps of torque!...bloody spell check!
NO. No flat 6. That exhaust note is horrific. I do not care how fast it is supposed to be. That doesn't matter, especially in a a daily. One of the best things about Porsche's, the engine note, has been ruined. No no no.
ChaosphereIX the engine in the 718 is a flat 4 not flat 6 my dude.
I know. That is why I was saying NO. They ruined it by putting the wrong engine in it.
This is definitely the car to have, it's the ultimate daily, there is nothing better imo but I'm biased, I have owned one for the past six months. But in that colour looks so much nicer than my white one. 👌🏼
Renaultsport Megane 😏
S Holdeenio I was going to swap my 275 for a cayman S :D
S Holdeenio a Renault? I'm sure he'd be gutted knowing he could of had a Porsche or audi
Sam has a passion for renaultsports 😊 so did I a few years back
Porsche all the way, best one tested so far.
Bmw m2
I think this is a brilliant "daily", I recon the engine doesn't sound bad at all, yes, if you think about the old engine, that sounded better, and compared to that, people will hate it, but imagine that any usual 4 banger sounded like that, you would love it.
This is the best on your list so far.
Mine will be delivered in January. Can't wait.
The sound the sound the sound .... may tick a lot of other boxes but the sound is so important in a sports car so that overrides everything. 981 every time. What's next, fully electric Porsche's? Whoopee!!
the 718 cayman is awsome, definitely the best daily for you
Always love it when Tony is in the videos.
Yess 718 Cayman all day long. With quicksilver exhaust!!
I drove a cayman gts with the 4 cylinder, no complaints. Though I do love the sound of my 06 CS.
Glad you did this, I am thinking of upgrading from a Renault Megane 275 RS to this in yellow looks great.
The car sounds awesome from the inside ! You can hear that waste gate !!!! Turbo spool from the outside !
Best car you can get for your purpose - useable, reliable, but at the same time a real drivers car, handling and chassis doesn't get better and it's a beauty too
Porsche is just doing it right (except for the sound or let's say noise that comes out of the flat 4 - really don't know what they were thinking, regarding that they are building engines like in the GT3 that screams and shouts like there's no tomorrow and makes every single hair on your neck stand for days)
Great video! Like the way you're doing your stuff, from videos to podcasts etc. - keep it up
If you can wait you could also go for the GTS version of the 718 which is expected to come out End of this year.
Was never a big Porsche fan but I think this would make an excellent daily!
Great piece of kit, still great cars to come through
I was chasing a 981 the other day and it sounded glorious.
