930 Turbo without hesitation. All of the others I see almost weekly. GT3, GT2 with massive wings and such. But the 930 is so integrated from tail to fender flairs. Far from perfect, the 930 for long time Porsche fans is so cool and raw.
You can really tell how much the 997.2 Turbo S was ahead of his game back in the day - sams as the 992 is nowadays. Just imagine it’s a 1/4 car with 10.9s in 2010.. I really love the 997.2 but went for a 991.2, the drivability is on another level
Guys you should use a drone for your drag-races.. imagine following all these cars and looking at them from above while they race each other, wouldn't that be amazing?
Do a Japanese classics drag race. Imagine. Celica, Supra, Integra, WRX, Civic, Skyline, etc may not be a close race but boy seeing those together just would be a wet dream. Obvs I mean these at their heights not the newest ones.
911 is my favourite car ever, doesn't matter what year. Though if I had to pick one, it would be the 911 classic they made, top gear had one on. That was the old school looks with modern-day tech. A dream.
Hi there, just a small point. When Matt says 'Mezger goodness' after the revving of the 997.2 he's actually incorrect. The 997.1 turbo had the Mezger unit but this looks to be a .2 which did not use this engine.
I don't care about the acceleration. I'd take the 930, 964 and 993 Turbo any day of the week over the bloated new 911's. The air cooled are the real thing. They're beautiful and have the original Porsche spirit.
You do realize Porsche started because Ferdinand was unhappy with what he could buy, and thought "i can make a better one". Exactly that is visible here. They get better and still have a fantastic build Quality.
@@marisasob Sure. The new ones are much faster and much better in every aspect. But they are not even nearly as beautiful and classic as the old ones. Just my personal opinion. Cheers.
Always have been a huge Porsche fan. As much as I love the new Porsches and the speed, grip and comfort they have, my absolute dream car is and always will be a 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo in Guards Red / Black.
I’ve always wanted a video like this but for Corvettes. You could also have some interesting and cool little line-up comparisons Every base model, every stingray(C7 and C8 base models would be in both of these races), every Z06, every grand sport, and every ZR1. I would love to see all, or even just one of those. That would make my life
Huge Porsche 911 fan, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. But it would probably be the 930 or 964 but I love them all, 993's are cool because they stick out in a very early 90's way, 996, the one none wants is still cool as well! There was a 996 Carrera S for sale here for just 20000€ or slightly below a few years ago, if only I had been in a position to strike, I would have in a heartbeat, it was blue. Was waiting for my father sometime mid 90's, an old couple come walking by heading for their garage behind me. They open the doors and inside sits a stunning all black 930 Turbo, will never forget that! They backed it out and drove off... They where probably easily in their late 60's or maybe even 70's if I recall, pretty awesome! :D Might been owned from new, I will never know. Thinking about it, I think Becky's 930 is the winner, it might not be the fastest of the bunch, but yeah, best looking... and thats hard for me to say, such a Porsche fan, I love em all too much! xD Hope this did not turn out too expensive for her! :O

@@luisnabais Nah, whomever owns a 911 and has the slightest passion for racing will slap on an exhaust. Exhausts do help with performance and noise is one of the most exciting things about having a nice car and engine. Sophisticated owners are usually the boring dentists and lawyers.
U obviously never rode in a porsche its like a go cart shits so loud too its down shifts so nice
Loved this! I am a rare one that really likes the 996. Kind of wish Matt’s 996 example wasn’t a tip so it could compare closer to the 993 and 964. The 997-992 are on different levels with their gearboxes. Great race! One of my favorites, if not my favorite.
Gtr was really the only thing that compared
Guys you should use a drone for your drag-races.. imagine following all these cars and looking at them from above while they race each other, wouldn't that be amazing?
Do a Japanese classics drag race. Imagine. Celica, Supra, Integra, WRX, Civic, Skyline, etc may not be a close race but boy seeing those together just would be a wet dream. Obvs I mean these at their heights not the newest ones.
Impossible to even get one of these that's stock or close to stock.
@@jeezitsmad4373 wannabe cars ? Hmm...... I highly doubt it.....obviously not comparing with other cars
@@jeezitsmad4373 that's just ignorance you Muppet. These cars are just as iconic both in Motorsport and as benchmark setters for road cars.
@@jeezitsmad4373 not even just expensive to not much more than these lot
@@jeezitsmad4373 hating for hating's sake. Sad life for some. These cars inspired some of your favourites today so idk what you're on about
That 993 is beautiful 🙌
Nothing beats the sound and looks of the 993.
That 993…..😍
That 964 sounds so amazing!
That was the most scientifically accurate brake test I have ever seen
😂👌
10:22 the way Mat said that laughed my socks off! 😂😂😂
The older ones look so much better…
Fr
can you do more of these? Every Golf GTI would be cool
No
They aren't exclusive
@@guycha0s380 neither is your mum
@@guycha0s380 so what?
@@guycha0s380 Like a Porsche 911 is exclusive?🤣
The 911 type 964 is such a beauty...
992 is gonna win no matter what but they look cool af also such a nice race
The 993 is a beautiful classic 911 shape.
Great to see Becky on Carwow, can you get her on more often pretty please
911 is my favourite car ever, doesn't matter what year. Though if I had to pick one, it would be the 911 classic they made, top gear had one on. That was the old school looks with modern-day tech. A dream.
That 993 though 😍
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO FROM CARWOW, PERIOD.
4:56 That was the most gangster upshift in the whole history of car wow..She should have won just because of that! 😂😂😂
No
honestly just makes me happy seeing ppl actually driving their classic 911s. so many ppl these days let them sit and treat them as “investments.”
991 gen 2 is the steal of the bunch. With some tweaks stupid fast
The best video ever created ! We’ll done Matt! ❤️❤️❤️
@e dont copy my name you 1 year old
What a lineup, I love them all. I picked up a 997.2 Turbo S last year.
That’s amazing bud!
Great choice
Amazing car congratulations
Broke fool I pick up a Bugatti Korean edition 320 mph
@@KimChi4Life that’s too poor for my taste tbh
0:02 Instead of "oh my god" I understood "I don't like cars" and I was like wtf
That 930 may be the slowest and lost by far, but it has my heart ❤️
Absolutely AWESOME drag race! Matt, you're SMASHING it recently with collabs, first Misha, now Becky Evans! Keep it up ❤❤❤
993 is still so gorgeous ... perfect balance between retro and modern 911´s
The best looking Porsche ever
964 & 993. Best 911 turbo's ever. Raj is a lucky man 👌
Hi there, just a small point. When Matt says 'Mezger goodness' after the revving of the 997.2 he's actually incorrect. The 997.1 turbo had the Mezger unit but this looks to be a .2 which did not use this engine.
I Iove you so much Becky and thank you so much for bringing your insane Porsche 930 Turbo S to this insane drag race
993 or 997 (or maybe 991) for me personally.
Although to be fair, while the non-Turbo 964 isnt that special, the 964 Turbo looks GREAT!
I don't care about the acceleration. I'd take the 930, 964 and 993 Turbo any day of the week over the bloated new 911's. The air cooled are the real thing. They're beautiful and have the original Porsche spirit.
They all have the Porsche spirit. I have had 3 or those and they are all Porsche through and throuh.
Cheers.
@@detonator2112 in that aspect i completely agree!
Only Mat Can Do This . Hats Off To You Man
The only difference on look is the wing getting smaller over time 😂
And the rear window.
Facts! And the hips getting wider each gen
Let's admit that mat is the best car reviewer ever
Yes
He's good but not the best.
As a 996 owner and just a 911 fan, this was the best video you’ve ever done Mat
This video is a 'wet dream' for ANY Porsche lover! I would take any one of those cars...to own, to drive, to stare at!! Great job all!!
Would’ve been interesting to see the 996 difference to its predecessors if it were a manual vs auto (pre-PDK)
Manual is much faster, and would probably keep up with the newer ones. That 5 speed slushbox is junk
@@villepekkala - my thoughts exactly
@@villepekkala The 997.1 tiptronic was almost a half second quicker to 60 than the manual.
@@ericjohnson3332 Irrelevant on the street. It's simply not the same driving experience.
Always have been a huge Porsche fan. As much as I love the new Porsches and the speed, grip and comfort they have, my absolute dream car is and always will be a 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo in Guards Red / Black.
I’ve always wanted a video like this but for Corvettes. You could also have some interesting and cool little line-up comparisons
Every base model, every stingray(C7 and C8 base models would be in both of these races), every Z06, every grand sport, and every ZR1.
Thinking about it, I think Becky's 930 is the winner, it might not be the fastest of the bunch, but yeah, best looking... and thats hard for me to say, such a Porsche fan, I love em all too much! xD
Hope this did not turn out too expensive for her! :O
Congratulations for atleast 10 million views already...
