Excellent video. got my printer going and lost nearly no ink in the process. I had to prime the cartridges' but after that it was smooth sailing. I usually wrap up my ET 2800 in a plastic bag but forgot to wrap it up the last time I printed. 40 days later it was clogged. Had the printer for 2 years and it never clogged until forgot to cover it up.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this helpful information! I found you after having spent a lot of time looking for this solution. Your teaching style is clear and concise and appreciated!
There is a trick to unlock the top without removing the screws. There is a notch cut that allows the post and track to become disconnected. The spring prevents it from finding the notch holes, so you have to push in the spring to find the notch release. Also removing the print head from the ribbon cable is difficult and so I never removed it completely but would like to remove the cable. There is a fellow that causes you to force open the top. He squirts in fluid and wait 24 hours to restart the printer. Wow his video is a mess.
Didn't go as easy for me. Those ribbons didn't line up and I think the printer thought there was a paper jam. The left corner did not go in as easy for me. It fell apart. Guess I get a new printer.
I have a problem. I followed your video step by step. Turned my printer back on after cleaning the printhead manually and now my printer says there is a paper jam when there is none. What did I do wrong?
@@jessecamcnamara4771 Nope. Even had my husband look at it. He would get that error to clear then it would say the scanner was blocked. Get that error to clear and then it would say the printer was jammed again.

Literally same for me. I cannot get the error to clear so I can’t print anything. Did you find a resolution?
@@heatherwisley3043 Nope. Not yet :/
I think the best is to unplug the power cable for 10 to 15 minutes and then plug in the power cable. That should remove the error.
Having the same issue. Did you ever resolve this?

Your video's are great.... AAA+++
UGH THAT MADE IT WORSE
This is terrible advice. I did this and now my printer is bricked.
