I hope this won't get the "lines" issue that requires the display to heat up for it to fix itself, each time you've had it off for a while, like my current UW display does.

On PC, most modern games support ultrawide resolutions, which increases the field of view, giving you more information to the sides (no cropping). Consoles only support 16x9 resolutions because all TVs are 16x9. So if you run a console on an ultrawide monitor, you'll either have black bars on the sides, or you can stretch to fill (which looks awful). So to make the most of this monitor you definitely need a PC.
I'm still waiting for a DUHD version. I want this screen for productivity though, I don't game on my PC. I have a PS5 for that... I only use it for video production, Blender etc.
Yes, because it has the best color accuracy (if you manually calibrate it) and the video timelines are insanely long so you don't have to scroll as much. No, because OLEDs has burn in issues where if you keep a certain group of pixels lit up for hundreds of hours at max brightness, they degrade over time which causes grey spots in that area that never goes away. (Most monitors covers it under warranty for 3 years but I don't think Samsung does that at least since I last checked) Make of this information what you will.

What I mean is that your eyes adapt to it very easily. But, if you really need a bright monitor. look for ones with a mini-led panel. Those are the brightest in the market rn.
If Samsung makes a NORMAL version of Neo G8 - a monitor with 32 inches size, IPS panel, Flat screen, 1192 zones Mini-LED and the same price as Neo G8, it will be the most bought high-end monitor around the world!

For what display? My 2nd gen g9 has scanlines that never go away, and my 57" 4k model it doesn't have it at all
