If I could I would want a 75 qd oled that's 32 by 9 so it's pretty much triple monitors into 1 but I know it won't happen since the 57 inch even is not popular enough for that to happen
Fire video bro, appreciate the camera work and editing technique really draws people in! I have two of these stacked and love the office use as well but like you said is really phenomenal gaming monitor as well.
@@frdstrr No, there's a qd-oled and a mini-led version - both are samsung created tech. "Regular oled" would be woled, what LG panels use. The mini-led version is called the Neo, this is the qd-oled model.
Just got one tonight. Do you have a vid explaining what your set up is for gaming. I would like to try a racing simulation game. I’ve never played before but would like to try it. What steering wheel setup and pedals do you use? Will the game work on a MacBook Pro?
Oh wow congratulations! I will be working on a video 100% but just got a couple other videos scheduled to release next. I’ve got the Moza racing setup with a next level racing FGT lite initially to test the whole Racing Simulation Hobby and I fell in love! I will be upgrading my set up and will be filming it. You can check out my one YT short as well which shows a glimpse of my set up with this monitor where my buddy was testing it out.
I was confused as well. To be honest, the G93SC because it’s all the same internals but it doesn’t have the bloatware like the Tizen OS which is good now but will be a problem once the OS no longer gets support. Also, the G93SC goes on sale often so keep your eye out.
The g95sc and g93sc are last years version where the 95sc had smart tv featured and the 93 didn’t. The g95sd I believe is just the g95sc but with a matte coating
@VeggieMight101 better to forego the smart features in my honest opinion. Samsungs Tizen OS is very bad now on my parents’ tv and they just use an Apple TV or Roku device
95 means bloatware. 93 means NOT bloated. So the new model is the G95SD but the non bloated is the G93SD. Change the letter D to a C and you get last year’s model.
G95C is the glossy screen, careful with this version... Has issues with it going black sometimes. That's a HW/warranty issue. G95D is the matte finish, and I believe it uses the next gen panels. I'd frankly get the D version, but not at its current price. Wait for sales, and ask yourself, will your favourite game support this resolution and do you have a GPU that is beefy enough for all the pixel pushing?
100% gaming for me. This kind of display I feel is made for gaming like simulators... I'm sure it'll make a great productivity monitor but personally, gaming for me.
HDR Performance between all QD-OLED monitor's is the same, the only difference is implementation of HDR 1000 mode's, on some it doesn't follow EOTF curve properly, but that not the case with G93SC or aw3423dwf shown in the video. So I don't get what makes G9 OLED worse HDR monitor then aw3423dwf?
Amazing! Thanks for the technical feedback. Wouldn't say it's worse really but if you literally compare it apples to apples, maybe youll notice it? I haven't done a full blown HDR comparison but maybe I'll see if a proper explanation can help. Thanks for this; worth looking into.
@@paolocee More importantly here, is this the C or D model? C = 2023 version with a glossy screen and a gen 2 qd-oled panel, D is the brand new 2024 version that just dropped which has the gen 3 panel and a new semi-matte finish.
Can someone please answer a question for me Does the 49" stretch the picture, or do you get a wider field of view when gaming?(see more while in the game a wider field of view)
Depends on the game. One of the biggest caveats with a 32:9 is that games will have the black bars when playing at full resolution of 5120 x 1440. However, more and more games support these displays and they are AMAZING. I wouldn’t recommend this as a primary monitor if that bothers you though. Highly recommend you see what games you play are available on TH-cam first! ☝️
@@paolocee I have the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8. I was just wondering if it was worth going up. But if the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 just stretches the picture out instead of giving me a wider peripheral field of view (meaning see more of what around me) in the game, then I guess it is not worth upgrading. I play BF4 and BF 2042 was hoping I could get a wider peripheral field of view .
Ohhh, hmm. That's a though question. For me, this is is my first 32:9 monitor plus the OLED was very enticing. I think you have the super aggresive curve which is honest would Ike to try out! Definitely check one out in person.
But the problem is that it's a premium monitor which somehow has......5120x1440 resolution and 1800R curvature. I would have expected it to have these, but nope. But I just hope the new LG 2025 monitor will push samsung to do something.
Just got my g9 yesterday. Most of my games I had to find ultra wide mods for. After dropping the files into the game folders it was plug and play. Wonderful experience after that😊
Would you ever get a 49 inch monitor for daily use? 😂 what’s the biggest size you’ll go? Let’s chat!
My Man....doing it again!
Thanks 🙏

Is it OLED or QD OLED? Can you please write the exact product code? There are a few Samsung similar monitors
i need know to!!
It's pretty easy to tell the difference just look at the stand it's only 2 of the 49 inch and this one is the cheaper one out of em but here S49CG934
There is an OLED and QD oled version. Both G9 but slightly different models.

I think you might need to adjust your HDR settings, this monitor is a QD-OLED as well and is capable of the same HDR Trueblack 400 that alienware is.

I got this monitor two days ago. Do you know what Power LED on function does? It can be on Working or Stan by but I can't see any difference.
Ohhh, I think it’s literally the power indicator which will let you know that the monitor is on. Let me know if you understand lol
What's the monitor arm mount you have there?
This is latest model odyssey g9 95d model????
G9 93, not 95. This doesn’t have the TIZEN OS

ordered the g95sc i pray Ups or FedEx dont destroy it in transit
I'm hoping the best! I'm sure it'll come in one piece
What desk you got there?
Thanks! Its an Ikea counter top for kitchen with autonomous standing desk legs on it. Very sturdy holding a ton of weight (3 monitors plus more!)
What about playing on one side and streaming it at the same time obs and chat on the other side , possible?
100% you can do splits screens with one HDMI per side if you do a 50/50 split screen

is this the G95SD?
Hello my friend; it's the 93. Barebones.
Samsung can't be serious with borders this big in 2024
Agree
You don't notice them when playing games and they help to give you an area you can touch when moving the display

Agreed. Competition is always good
I have it, it really needs to be dual 4k, the resolution is too low for productivity & even some games. Text look horrific that fringing is terrible.
See your point 😌
Would need 2 graphics cards then depending on job...A 4090 alone struggles with 4k as Nvidia has not increased rasterization for quite some time.
Have you tried using MacType and one of the oled specific profiles for it?
@@laurencecastle2321 there's no oled profile for mactype i am aware of

@KaililKendrickPremium amazing! Congrats on this insanely awesome journey. Once you find a great game or games, the immersion is just money!
All the modern games that I play support this 32:9 ratio. I have the non OLED G9 and LOVE IT, seriously thinking of upgrading to this beauty!
