Thanks for the video. This shows me what I already suspected. I have a 2023 palisade with 17k miles and it sounds like there is a basketball under the car when hitting small bumps on the road. I checked underneath and everything looks clean and great but not having a lift makes it harder. Back to the dealer it goes. Thanks for the info.
@@RBTheMechanicI drove the car up on ramps and found nothing loose or leaking but unfortunately I can’t lift it to remove pressure from the front end. It’s going to the dealer. Just find this interesting for a car that isn’t a year old yet. Wife likes the car but I will get rid of it before warranty is over. Going back to a Toyota if I can convince her.

I've got to take it to my mechanic Wednesday cuz it's getting worse and he had mentioned Summer breeze in sway bar stuff that's why I looked up sway bar I never heard of it baby get a chance I want to go back to college and take mechanics
My mothers Hyundai i40 1.7 diesel 2013 makes a banging noise is there some (rear) suspension weight or something like that which goes on them its a big metal thing was her description of it thanks
Great explanation! Are those cheap swaybar links and bushings on Amazon any good? It looks like a front and back for a sportage is $40-50. Is that realistic? Thanks for any answers!
In my hyundai tucson 2007 model, I hear the dock noises in the front after the long drive, like 50km plus (once the vehicle is heated). I replaced the shock absorbers, ball joins, repaired the steering rack, links, and other bushes, and I still hear it. Any advice?
Hi, I have a Hyundai i20 2013. I can see that behind the rear spring the bump stop(?) Has corroded and completely fallen off and is stuck inside the spring at the bottom. When driving there is a heavy grinding sound. Is it likely just due to this? We can't find the part anywhere! I just passed today ☺️
WD40 soak down reduced my noise by 75%! Happy to return lower ball joint Hyundai (54530-F2100) to Amazon and other tools..... remove tire[s] in snyc of opening the hood......WD40 from top strut bolt and work your way down to lower ball joint.... it worked for me.. :) (Don't kill yourself installing parts)..
That dosent mean proble is fixed now it’s joe worst u wount heat and be annoyed because it became silent if it was the ball joint it can eventully brake and tire fall off and damage whole bunch of other stuff
We have a Tucson LTD AWD- 2008, kind of looks like what you were working on. So we get the click / knock type sound mostly from the front end suspension going over bumps only when its cold in winter. Its got 200 Km on itm had the struts done at 140Km. Sway bar links maybe tthe issue?...the thing about it...Summer, no noise, Winter (in Canada) noise. Ever get that symptom before noise in winter none in summer - thx!
I have this creaking sound coming from my front right side of my hyundai elantra 2009, it happens when i turn, turn the steering wheel and driving on i guess uneven road. At high speeds its faint almost to nothing but when i go slow it creaks. Im sure its the sway bar links. I recently went for a vehicle inspection with 2 different mechanics for insurance.. however the 1st mechanic failed my car on the spot and the 2nd guy passed it with some notes... Im not doubting anything the 1st mechanic said, he even gave me a list of whats wrong. Not alot tbh... but the way he was putting it was like I'll die in a crash immediately as soon as i leave the lot if i dont get allnof the parts repleced asap, a $1500 fix i cant afford. whereas the 2nd mechanic said that my car is fine and that yes some parts will eventually need to be replaced but not immediately like the 1st one said. Never said anything about the back sway bars.. Heres a list the 1st mechanic gave me: -Front sway bar links -front struts -left front lower ball joint -rear sway bar links I could probably do this myself. But like i said i dont have 1500$ to spare so im not sure if should be worried about driving 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Im hearing a loud creaking noise when turning left. Any ideas on that? Inner and outer tie rods seems fine. Weird though that my outer tie rod on driver side doesnt have a counsel (sp?) Nut and the threaded part of the tie rod doesn't have a hole for a cotter pin. It just has a regular nut on it and no matter what i did, i couldn't get the outer tie rod to pop out. In all the videos i watched, i didnt see any mention of one without a counsel nut, so i started wondering if someone used the wrong part for it or if thats just how the factory part is. Its a 2013 hyundai elantra gt
@@RBTheMechanic thanks for the response. I have a new sway bar link that I can install. If the noise happens only when turning left, does that at least pinpoint a side that is causing it?
My car driver side front tire is is roaring It roars loader when you let off the gas what could make that happen and there is grey grease on the bushing above the ball joint
I have a 2009 Hyundai sonata I keep hearing a chirping sound coming from the back when i go over a bump at low speeds sometimes high speeds around 40 mph I hear it when I go over a bump or a lump in the road.
If you want to easily diagnose worn sway bar bushings, disconnect the sway bar links a take the car for a drive. If the noise disappears, that was the problem.

Check ur sway bar linkages and strut mount. Dose it sound like money change? I had one car that had marbels built up in tire and they made coin alone sound
What about one really loud knock or clonk when you hit even a tuny crack or bump its gotten worse since i first heard it but it sounds like the car is gonna fall apart now its bad
Depends where the scaling is coming from but it could be ur wheels hitting wheel well and that could be cuz of shocks are weak so before anything I would have it checked
I have some clucking noise seems like its comign from the front right side. It only comes in slow speed, may be at high speed the road noise increase so I cant hear it but I only hear it in slow speeds but I hear nothign on speed breakers/bumps. I only hear them where the road is not completely flat. Any idea? I jacked up the car and looked for torn bushings/rubbers and any ply but nothing.
