You guys fish a lot of spoons, can you do a video on different kinds you like, sizes and what the difference is. THANKS and keep them coming!
Great info! Love Tackle Tuesday! Keep it up!
thx i cant wait to use this knowledge when surf fishing
Thanks for this info!
Love tackle Tuesday. Great info for those of us who only get to fish the beach while visiting.
I bet smashing your thumb hurt.😂Thanks. I’m getting ready to leave for Florida next month. I’m ordering 5 pounds of pyramid sinkers.
You always have great tips video and they work to
I get the notification of your upload - it shows 1 Like and ZERO ( 0 ) views ???? Getting a like without viewing the video ......
that is greatness!
Great Tip! Always struggled with what weights to use when surf fishing.
Cool info thanks
Hey Brad you can get the egg crate mattresses and that will soften the sound in your garage it sounds like you're in a barrel that will help like your videos
Thanks for the tips Brad! I went down to Gulf Shores Beach yesterday to check on the ladyfish..... they're still there. Lol
Come hang out with us in Hatteras. 8 & bait is the standard and 10oz is often a requirement when the weather is drummy
I was about to say! Must be nice living in the gulf because I can rarely get 4 to stick down and 8+bait is always the play
What’s the spec on your rod(s) for getting these rigs out there?
Thanks mystery sovled
Nice video!
Let’s Go !!! 🐊🐊🐊
great video.. maybe do a comparison on green vs pink sabaki :)
Up here in NC I almost universally use 4 oz. storm sinkers. I do like Tony does on this FishGum channel. I dip them in different colors of Plasti-Dip color matched to my hooks (powder coated) and floats. I will us a sputnik weight if needed and have some of Tony’s from his website. I have about four different types of anchor weights that I got at Cape Hatteras. I love the Tackle Tuesday videos. Keep up the great content Brad! --- Chris
Caught a bunch of fish on the fish gum when everyone else wasn't catching anything.
But did you chew some and blow bubbles?
I wanna take my wife surf fishing here soon when the bull reds will be running… would a heavy carolina rig work too?
Just came from came from BBB's video, didn't know both of you up load around the same time. I was curious to see what your go to weight was, for mine has always been the 2 oz. I have never had to use a 4 oz. I always try to use the very least amount of weight as I can. I will have to try the spucknic, for I have never used one. Thanks for your insights!
I use spoon and bottle sinkers most of the time!
Average 3 to 6 ounces, not more than 8 ounces. 🎣
I prefer not to use pyramid and cone sinkers as they drag too much when reeling back; causing more stress on a reel's gearing system!
They are more suitable in strong cross currents, Not all the time! 🎣
There are grapnel sinkers with spikes on.
Good info. Thank you. When a rod says 4-10oz what is a good ratio of sinker to bait if using live or larger cut.
How do you rig your weights, and hooks
i used 10 oz to drop it from the florida keys bridges when the current it’s to strong
Thanks for the info. Do you ever use or have frog tongue weights? Here in NC they are quite common. Me personally I don't like them when reeling them in especially a 6oz it catches to much water and feels like you're bringing in a ray
Those are a pain to reel in but they hold great lol
You rigging those with three way swivels or?
👍👍
Heavy subject, weighty implications 😂
But weight A minute 🤔 gotcha !
Good info but very area specific..surf fishing in VA and NC you better be willing to throw 6-8 ozs
