    Hi Davie
Thats a great looking fly. I really like this one. I dont think you remenber when we talked about the classic video a few months back. You got me hooked on them and this is a great pattern to try out some time I will need to get a few feathers so I have pairs of them. I will have to try it out and will try and send a pic on how it comes out.
    Thanks for this great video
    Chance

Flies like this one are tying challenges; which, I think, is one reason for tying them! 😅

    Hi Davie,
Is the feather at 7:10 the same kind of feather you used for the top layer off the married wing? Im really confussed about Teal and flank, are they the same thing with different names?
    Thanks,
    Best regards,
    ~David

Hey Davie, I was wondering (not for this fly but,) is it possible to use Lady Amherst Center Tail to make married wings (along with goose)? Or what would I use to make a married wing that has the same coloration as Lady Amherst Center Tail?

    Hi Davie,
Would you do the low water feather wing version of the blue charm please?
would like to tie some up to fish, i know the hair wing is popular now but would be nice to fish with the original.
Haven't seen you in the Glasgow angling centre on a Sunday Davie, do you still do your monthly tying class?
    Best regards. Alan.

Very nice tie, the wings came out perfect. Where did you find Mallard that long?

I’m tying one of these along with you Davie. It went well until we got to THOSE WINGS! One side came out just right fairly quickly but that other side!!!! Aaaarh! I’ve had 15 goes at it and it’s just not working for me. I’m breaking off until tomorrow! lol
I’m sure it will come out ok in the end but for now............ 😬😬😬😬😬

No wax?? I love how you wax your thread a lot to make for stronger hold, didn't see much on this vid. We're you using waxed thread already? Superb tie...Cheers from the states davie,
    Brandon

      Hi Brandon,
Waxing thread at times does help tye a better fly especially at points like when tying hackles and wings on, with many of the questions I was being asked I felt using wax would solve them so I started to show myself using the wax a lot more...I do enjoy tying this style of fly and I'm glad you enjoyed it as well...
      All the very best Davie

    Hi Davie,
Really impressed with this traditional low water fly, would love to see you do another pattern in this style with the married feather wings. could you do one at some time? Many thanks. Alan.
