Yes, they are non-confrontational compared to, say, us spaniiards, dutch, etc.. but less so than other Asian cultures. Even in Latin America, these "latin" traits vary from country to country. And curiously, this "Latinness" has its origins not in Roman culture, but in Semitc cultures (as they were before the 10th century)...

I laughed and cried and was definitely humbled by the blessings i take so for granted living in California! I am moving there in May and after many hours of research of where to retire, the Phillipines just comes out on top in all catagories.
The Philippines is known for its raw and natural beauty! By the way, the Philippines won again (and again) as the "World's Leading Diving Destination" (5 consecutive years) and the "World's Leading Beach Destination" (2 consecutive years) in the prestigious World Travel Awards 2023, the Oscars of the travel industry, held in Dubai last December 1, 2023. There's the receipt!

Hi, my wife is from the Phils and i agree, that Filipinos are really nice people, but Guatemaltecos are even more nice. I think, that i can compare both people from these countries, because i spent amost 1 year in each of these countries.
How do you handle the heat and humidity? Because that is the main reason I don't move there !

I've seen the world myself. I'm a disabled/ retired military vet and I have chosen the PI as my last home on earth. So in my heart, I agree with you! I moved to the PI in 1983, with my Filipina wife. Much love!
Drew. I am a 66 year old man currently living in Kentucky. I have lived in Arizona (3 years) and California (40+ years). I went to the Philippines after Vietnam and have returned to visit 3 times. I visited Manila once in December 2022 and I gotta say it is amazing.. Filipinos are Friendly and Happy People and their English for the most part are fluent. Inshallah, I will 1 day come back to The Phillipines.

Just like any other country and culture. It has its own unique highs and lows, and I hope when the time comes you decide to visit here. You enjoyed our people and culture and left this country full of happiness and experiences you never experienced in other parts of the world.
I’d be nervous of New York City and San Francisco than the Phils. I am Filipino living in NYC and it is scarier than any city in Metro Manila, Philippines.

US cities are a million times more unsafe than any place in the philippines, with the exception of the deep south where you encounter muslim fundamentalists and jihadis who want to break away from the country, even then i'd rather vacation in the muslim territory than walk around chicago or New york and get mugged.

It has been my dream to visit Croatia! I have had 2 open heart surgeries by the time I was 30 yrs old. I am now 32 yrs of age. I haven't got to do much traveling, however, I'd be extremely grateful to be able to do what you do. You're very brave and you should be exhilarated. Kudos to you, my friend. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio but am currently residing in Rock Springs Wyoming, to be closer to Salt Lake City for my heart failure clinic, cardio thoracic and any one of the many doctors who has been there for me the past few years. Your videos give me hope ❤

Plitvice national park in croatia is amazing and along with dubrovnik, it will make a trip to Croatia more that worth it. that said, i been to only 86 countries unlike Drew here, but have to agree that philippines get's my number one spot also, mostly for the people, but if you like beaches it is an easy choice also.
Start juicing organic fruits and vegetables. Organic 1lb of carrots, 2 apples, 2 oranges, 3 golf ball sized beets, 1 celery stick, 2 cups of spinach, 1 cucumber. You follow that recipe and drink 16 ounces a day 4 times a week which equates to about two batches a week, you will never get cancer, you will feel a million times better and you'll have energy again. I highly recommend getting some low mercury, sustainably caught sardines, they are really good for you!
I also recommend if you're ever starting to feel off or sick in any way, make this recipe *BEWARE* it tastes like garbage but will heal you.
2 tsp organic shredded ginger, 1 garlic clove shredded, 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon, 1 whole lemon squeezed, 1 tbsp honey, mix in warm water and drink the whole thing. I guarantee you, you'll feel better the next morning or even later that day in some cases.

I’ve never been able to travel because of having little children and not able to afford anything for myself and I have recently lost my youngest son at 13 years old and my 3 other sons are adults and I would loose my mind if I ever won something like this! New sub here and want to say I appreciate the very real reviews of Tondo. Some of the poorest people in my humble country are actually the happiest. It’s called learning to live with so little and appreciating every single thing they get. FYI, actually went to school from kindergarten to high school in Tondo 👍🏼

I have no idea how it took me this long to find your channel because I am moving to SE Asia in January hoping to start my own travel vlog. In particular, I have been to the Philippines several times and I find it to be my favorite as well. This was by far one to the best documentaries I have seen so far. I truly wish you both nothing but happiness and a love that God continues to grow every day. I watch a lot of weddings because I edit a ton as one of my jobs here in the US. There was no doubt in my mind this wedding may have made a great show but it was not done for show but for true love. Your wife is stunningly beautiful. I have met four or five people in my life that just seem to glow from the inside out and she is one of them. The best part is she makes you glow too. Congrats and now I have to go back and catch up on the last 2 years.

People take risks and some are afraid of failure for those that don't take them. I'm truly happy for you and your Wife, amazing how you started just backpacking and how you and your special person met on the way. She genuinely looks happy for how far you go to adapt but still keep your roots. Good luck, this was great to watch and would make those lame ass Netflix "realities" look less real, they are all Hollywood and fake.
