I spent a month backpacking Iran on my own as a solo woman of colour. It was the most rewarding trip Ive ever done. All because of the people. Their generosity of spirit, their pride and their curiosity about life, culture. Magic! You cant barely move without seeing something beautiful
yes, it's so nice for traveling but what about for moving? There is no proper immigration system for foreigners. In addition, So many Iranians have been leaving their own country.
It's not our media it is our political right wingers who have played this "anti iran game" since 1980 and we lost out on a chance to have a normal relationship with Iran because of it.
if you really want to know the history of why our governments and media are so anti Iran, to only need to look at the history of the Anglo Iranian oil company (now called BP - British Petroleum) save operation Ajax. links below... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Iranian_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat
So you mean the love of terrorism, hatred kf American culture and their current laws on LGBT and women's rights isn't real??? It looks amazing and beautiful but here is the thing you gotta remember. These people KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES of their actions. They don't allow the same bullshit as America does. So yes they'll be happy and smile but let's be real, their culture is way different than ours and they have PERSERVED their way of life for thousands of Years by force. I appreciate how he's covering Iran but he isn't being honest about the reality of this place.
So if it's all so beautiful and friendly why Jewish history dating back thousand if year's in Persia is wiped out and non existent 0from the history and culture of these "beautiful and friendly" people that at the drop of a hat, turn into killers of jews!! ???
I am Dutch, was there just before covid hit.. Isfahan, Kashan, Ahwaz, Abadan, Shiraz.. Super welcoming people, perfect food, beautiful country. My heart is with the people of Iran.❤
@@thetravelwriterreports960 Not really.. I went there with an Iranian friend.. stayed only with friends of him, travelled by car. Took one bus from Shiraz to Isfahan for an absurt low price.. Traveling Iran is rather easy, public transport is cheap and people are the most helpful you wil ever experience. Have fun!
I am from Ankara , Turkey. Last year I spent 3 months in Tehran and 2 weeks on Kish Island. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had ! The most hospitable people on planet earth, amazing rich culture and one of the best cuisines ever ! Can't wait to go back and visit other cities !
It’s funny because I have the same opinion on turkey back when I went to visit instanbul. Truly one of the most gorgeous places I’ve been to. Every corner of that city was filled with the best food imaginable. I love you guys so much!!! 🤍🤍
Every Iranian I've ever met has been very friendly and polite. I remember going to look at a used car and the seller was Iranian. He insisted I stay for dinner with he and his family.
I taught film making in Dubai a couple of years ago. My students came from many Middle East countries but my Iranian students were the most sensitive and friendly. They created films with stories of real heart and emotion indicating deep intelligence and an understanding of the human spirit. They deserve to live in freedom to express themselves openly. Great doco Drew thankyou
Yea i just made an iran friend online n i really hope he can wear the trendy clothes he want to wear freely one day :') he's such a good person honestly
I am from Germany. Last years I was in Kish Island, Abadan, Ahvaz, Dezful, Shiraz, Isfahan, Qom. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! The most hospitable people on the planet, amazingly rich culture and some of the best food ever! I look forward to coming back and visiting other cities.
Das ist sehr gut mein Freund, dass der Iran, ihnen gefallen hat ❤ Wenn die Regierung dort auch vernichtet wird , dann wird das Land sogar viel besser in allen Bereichen....
Hello from California USA! What sweet kind people. The world would be perfect if everyone were like these people. I think the common peoples of our countries need to ignore the lies our govts tell us and love each other. The earth is so rich with humanity how wonderful it would be! Love you Iran!
In 1998 I traveled with a British tour group for 3 weeks around the entire country. We had a lovely time. Our Persian tour guide was fun and he introduced us to so many things not included on the tour. We even were invited into a wedding celebration in a small village that we had stopped at. We had free time in the evenings and did not have to be with a guide...we were free to explore. The people were so friendly and when they found out I was an American, they told me to tell my people to come back to Iran. At one park I went to, a person who was with their family enjoying a picnic came over to me and offered me a pomegranate and said, "Welcome to Iran". I felt very safe the entire time I was there. I hope one day I will be able to return. Khodafez.
Iranian here ! thanks for showing love to us ❤ Iran is a heaven for tourists but a sh*thole to live in ... thanks to the terrorist Islamic government it's become even worse after you've traveled
I'm from Iran, Isfahan, and the guy from 59:27 was my music teacher. His name was Mr. Jeyhooni and I'm so happy to see him again since he was an excellent teacher and an amazing person. 😊 Your video of my country was one of the most detailed ones in terms of showing the diversity and the true culture of the people. I can't thank you enough for that. All I can say is that I wish to see you again In free Iran.❤ Woman, life, freedom.
His videos are genuinely wonderful he depicted Venezuela in a good light unlike everything else only focusing on the government corruption and inflation!!😍🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
@gengar6969 Yeah, after so many years, I've got to see him in this video! We would be so happy to see you in our country! 😊 Iranian people are extremely welcoming and warm. Also, so many people know English! So you don't need to worry about language!
We are traveling from Belgium to Asia by land, and Iran is definitely our favorite country on the way ! We spent 2 months there and were impressed by the kindness of the people. We were invited every single day to people's house to have a dinner or drink tea (sometimes even beers from the black market ahah). It was sometimes impossible to pay the bill at restaurants because they didn't want our money because we were "guest". Thank you so much for this documentary, people have to know the truth about this awesome country and its population ❤️
Iran is amazing Asian country. Try to visit my homeland, Golestan, in the northeastern region of Iran. Many mountains and greenery and beautiful wildlife.
U welcome, when you come to Iran dont forget north side of Iran(,caspien sea),you Can ride horses ,swiming and jet ski and eating best khaviar of the world,if u like i invite to my villa
My grandad is from Tabriz in Iran! he’s lived in the UK for 50 years now but a lot of family are still in Tehran. Thank you for showing the true Iran ❤🇮🇷🇬🇧
My Iranian friends here in the USA are the most wonderful people I know. They invited me to a Mehregan picnic recently and I was the only American there! I was accepted, loved, fed and surrounded in a way that I have not experienced since I was at my grandparent’s house many years ago😂 Iranian people are the most lovely in the world. I’m blessed to count them as friends, and if Iran ever becomes *truly* safe for Americans, I will absolutely come to visit🇺🇸♥️🇮🇷🦁
Why should it be unsafe for Americans? Yes, if someone is a spy, they should be worried, because they are not far from the security systems. Like people who were apparently bird watchers and wildlife tourists, but only interested in birds around nuclear and missile sites. They used special equipment to sample the soil and air there, but a tourist who is having fun and sightseeing should not have any worries. The police and security organizations support him. Like an American tourist and a child. and his wife, whose motorhome caught fire and the chief of the police station took them to his home for three weeks and extended their visas so that their motorhome could be repaired.❤

Right, I always pray for peace for Iran. I really feel for the ppl, especially the women. It's their gov & the religion that invaded their country, not the great Persian ppl that are the problem. If you ever meet Iranian immigrants in the US, it's the same very friendly, happy, lively kind of ppl in the video. They're so wonderful. I've known many Persians & all are such awesome ppl.
We lived as Americans in Iran for several years before the revolution. My father worked to build the largest harbor in Iran, Bandar Shapour (now called Bandar Khomeni). We had the opportunity to travel all over - Shiraz, Tabriz, Tehran, Persepolis, and the beautiful city of Isfahan, as well as Abadan and Khorramshar. I always have much love for this beautiful country. Thank you for doing a deep exploration of the very hospitable and friendly Persians and their gorgeous country.
As reading 📖 the Bible about Persian people, and always thinking about going to Iran 🇮🇷 as my daughter said, because it’s the land of lots of things to explore and learn from it’s people. God bless Iran 🇮🇷 😇🙌 the people are so unique and wonderful as my neighbour, they are lovely people.❤👍🥰🙌🙏
I’ve been in Iran for 2 weeks in april this year (in Tehran, Qom, Kashan, Abyaneh, Isfahan, Nain, Yazd, Pasargad, Shiraz, Persepolis and Naqsh-e Rostam). It’s the most beautiful, culturally aware, welcoming and just magical country in the world. I am absolutely in Love with this place and I believe that, despite all political problems, we should show the real Iran and Iranians to as many people as possible, because this stunning country and nation deserve it.

@@h.schikhan5850 Who said that I won’t go back? I definitely will with great pleasure. I plan to do that in september 2025 and then visit Khorasan-e razavi, Golestan, Mazandaran, Gilan, Ardabil, Zanjan, Kordestan, Kermanshah, Lorestan, Khuzestan and West Azerbaijan. And I’m sure that I will travel to Iran many times in future.
I'm a Kiwi who traveled overland from Pakistan in 2009 with the intention of spending 1 month in Iran. However, I was unfortunate enough to get hit by a car in Yazd which resulted in both of my legs being broken. I was taken to hospital, was operated on, and spent 5 months recovering in a guesthouse in Yazd. During my time there I had the most amazing experience! The people were absolutely amazing, incredibly hospitable, who made by stay that much better. The generosity that I experienced was surreal and one day I plan on returning to repay the kindness that was bestowed upon me. So much love, I cannot say one bad thing about Iran or it's people. Everything happens for a reason in life and as crazy as it sounds, I'm grateful that this happened to me here ❤❤❤
As an Iranian girl i’m super affected with this video,You perfectly pictured its beauties and the hospitality of my people, how humble and friendly they are. i just thank you Drew, nice job👍🏻🤍☺️
Im watching this as an American and hoping/praying we dont end up at war. I hope our politicians dont enlarge this current conflict. The working class people of the world will suffer the most all around.
As an Irish citizen I travel to Iran getting my visa on arrival and then take off wherever I want to; I love it! The people are friendly and hospitable. Hotels are excellent as are transport and food. One family drove me 30 miles to my hotel from Persepolis and would not take any money.. I felt 100% safe in Iran.
Politicians love to make it into us vs them. But in reality we are really not that different, chistians and muslims. Womens rights need to improve, everything else there looks amazing!
Iranian People are respectul, warm ang hospitable ! The country is an openair muséum, traditions, art, beautiful music dance ! History of Old Persia is part of The world's history.
I'm french. Iran is this very old, beautiful, powerful and sophisticated country to me. Full of wonders. I just think it has a terrible leadership. The country is set back by r*tarded leaders and it seems the people suffers all lot from it. I think it's how most people from western Europe see Iran. I really really wish I could visit but I just can't accept to wear the islamic headscarf or deal with the misogynistic laws. I hope all of this nonsense ends soon.

The Iranian people, so beautiful with such sincere politeness and warmth. Can't express my sorrow in words for what they endure polically, like doves in a cage, I can only pray for the Light to open their prison door and set them free.
I have friends from all over Iran, whether from Tabriz, to Mazandaran, Tehran, to Mashhad, and every corner of the country has a beautifully unique atmosphere to it, and despite the image of Iranians through western media, they're the most hospitable and welcoming people I've come across and are incredibly proud to be Persian.

But how can the Zionist American govt can do that they are slaves of Zionist Israel and thus has effectively become mercenaries for the Zionist in Israel .. killers of 5 million innocent Muslim men women and children in Iraq, Syria? Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and now persistently harassing Iran !
The people of this country are free . Leave them alone , we remember what US done in iraq on name of freedom. I think US really think they are some morally superior . But now the ugly mask is falling is sponsoring bombs to kill children in Gaza.
I lived in Iran for 2 years when I was 12-14yo. I miss Iran and I dearly wish that things would resolve sooner than later. I would jump at the chance to visit again sometime.
As an American, I can tell you that in Iran you can say anything you want, however, if you say something against the U.S. government or the Zionist regime, you will get jailed like Assange and criminalized like Snowden. To me the Iranian government is better than all Western countries because Iran has never invaded or occupied any country ever. Tell me how many countries the U.S. has destroyed or occupied since the so called 9/11? Conclusion, use your brain and do not listen to the U.S. mainstream media propaganda.
Im not a tour guide, but i can provide some information and tips, as i have I have travelled most of provinces of iran, sometimes even alone. Any questions you have I would be happy to answer them.
I work for a company owned by a Persian family. Every day, I’m interacting with multiple people that came to the US from Iran- but not all when the shah fell. Many of them recently. I learned quickly what a welcoming, polite, warm culture it is. And they will do everything in their power to feed you 😂 I hope to go there someday!
Persian friends I've had are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. Iran looks like one of the greatest countries on earth, such a rich deep culture its mindblowing. That's obvious and I've never even been there. Oh and the food...
You are a real superman, I admire your courage, humility, and wisdom! Thank you for introducing us to this country in an hour and forty-four minutes! You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing!👍🥰🙏
I am married to Iranian and I come here every 6 months . Totally love it and always had a great time . Iranian people are wonderful and friendly. Iran khiely doshtari!!
I‘m German with persian origins. For me this is one of the most beautiful documentaries i‘ve ever seen from Iran and it‘s very beautiful and warm people. Thank you very very much. I enjoyed a lot. 😊

there are 3 things I love about my country: 1: amazing language, I'm not being biased here, the language is just beautiful.. 2:great food that's very underrated in the world 3: the open minded Iranians are the best people I've ever seen. only open minded ones tho, the rest are a bunch of miserable religious c*nts
It brightens my heart to know that there are people in this world like Drew who show that all hope is not lost for these countries. I see this from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, Drew.
My favourite country, been there twice. The people are so friendly and hospitable. Had chai in a very remote village 3 hours out of Tehran with a lovely English teacher. Met his family too, very welcoming. Had a ladies only afternoon tea on the pavement with several local women. A sweet little girl ran up to me and gave me a flower, took it all over Iran with me. I would go a 3rd time.
Iran is great for travel, but living in Iran is difficult with its ever-deteriorating economy and strict social rules imposed by the government. So, I suppose you can stop resenting us ;)
My husband is Azeri from Tabriz and I can’t wait to go and meet all of the family there. I’m American. Thanks for making me feel safer about traveling there in the future.
im an Armenian born and raised in iran until i was 15 and then we moved to the US. i was born in Arak which is to the south west of Tehran and its a nice place. i wish you had had a chance to visit. for my dads work i would travel with him to different regions of the country but i wish i get the chance to go back and visit all these other places in the country that i never got to go to and try all these amazing foods. i miss it very much.
Hi my friend❤ I'm Iranian from Arak city. It's nice to hear that you have lived in Arak. Whenever you want, you can come to Iran and spend a good time in Arak. It's our pleasure ❤😊
As a Finn, I must say that Iran is a big and beautiful country with diverse climates and cultures. Iranian people are extremely kind and good. I really respect them a lot, I hope one day they can liberate their country. They deserve a better life.🇫🇮❤️🇮🇷
I used to have a very good impression of Finns But your appearance is similar to those who, in addition to only looking at the world through the camera of biased networks, also allow themselves to make incorrect judgments about the people of other countries. Can I ask you a question, what is the meaning of freedom from your point of view? If a country and people with 7000 years of civilization and pure culture resist the attack of homosexual culture, do you think they are not free? I wish you would think more before you talk about others
Thank you for showing this beautiful country 🙏 Visiting Iran has been one of my dreams because I'm so in love with their language, music, literature and culture and now I'm even more thrilled to experience this lovely country. Much love to you Drew and much love to Iran 🤍 From Syria

This is so eye opening. I have been sharing this with my wife, telling her I want to visit this beautiful part of the world. The media is so bias about this country and it really breaks my heart. The people are genuine, kind caring and generous. Thank you for sharing this wonderful depiction of this amazing country.
I lived in Iran for a year working for the Iranian Air Force until all foreigners were told to leave the country during the civil upheaval in the 70s. Loved the Iranian people, the food, the lovely places we were able to visit and explore, the bazaars and the jewelry.
Hey Drew, that was amazing video about Iran ! I am Iranian & I moved here 45 years ago. Places that you went, I haven’t been, cuz I’ve been away for so long. I watched it with my American husband & we enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for showing real Iran & Iranian despite what news & social media portrays Iran & Iranian. Iranian people are peace loving, kind & educated people. Thank you for showing the true Iran, it’s history, good foods & beauty of different parts of Iran. I appreciated it very much! Thank you for visiting Iran and showing light on the country and dispelling mistruths. My late fiance was Persian and it remains a country dear to my heart. The food too is incredible
What I really enjoy about your channel, Drew, is that, despite your success, you still seem to care a lot more about the culture, history and people of a country. A lot of travel influencers nowadays seem to only care about getting the most luxurious accommodations and going to the most fancy looking restaurants, but you still tell stories and spread knowledge and awareness about other countries. Keep it up!
As someone of Iranian and Hebrew descent from my father's side and Azerbaijani blood from my mother's, I consider myself fortunate to have experienced a rich and diverse cultural heritage. 🇮🇷 🇮🇱 ❤🇦🇿

If you are a fan of history i suggest travelling to iran. In iran things rarely change, for example when you walk in village in yazd, you feel the streets have been like this for at least two thousand years :D. Jokes aside, there are abundant of historical landmarks here, in my friend's local village graveyard, there is a grave about 900years old!! Next beside is 30years old.

Khodafez.

I’m blessed to count them as friends, and if Iran ever becomes *truly* safe for Americans, I will absolutely come to visit🇺🇸♥️🇮🇷🦁
İran is safe place. I am not sure about US given so much islamophobia and racism toward middle east .

Interesting.. so what you were doing out there? Since Iran was in bloody war with Iraq..
@@thecaptain1101 They were at war with Iraq. I was travelling to India overland and obtained a visa in the UK with no issues. Iran was very safe apart from near the border with Iraq.

You’re lucky ..
As an Iranian being a fan of your channel for years I thought you forget about us and the horrific things happening here, I wanna thank you for raising your voice about what's happening.
Lots of love from malaysia to the iran people
Peace and love from Iran❤❤
RESPECT AND LOVE .. FROM IRAN
This is so eye opening. I have been sharing this with my wife, telling her I want to visit this beautiful part of the world. The media is so bias about this country and it really breaks my heart. The people are genuine, kind caring and generous. Thank you for sharing this wonderful depiction of this amazing country.
Come to Iran and enjoy
I lived in Iran for a year working for the Iranian Air Force until all foreigners were told to leave the country during the civil upheaval in the 70s. Loved the Iranian people, the food, the lovely places we were able to visit and explore, the bazaars and the jewelry.
Thanks for sharing

Hey Drew, that was amazing video about Iran ! I am Iranian & I moved here 45 years ago. Places that you went, I haven’t been, cuz I’ve been away for so long. I watched it with my American husband & we enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for showing real Iran & Iranian despite what news & social media portrays Iran & Iranian. Iranian people are peace loving, kind & educated people. Thank you for showing the true Iran, it’s history, good foods & beauty of different parts of Iran. I appreciated it very much!
Woman life Freedom!
Hey cousin!

You have experienced more of my country than I will ever get a chance to. Thank you for giving the world a glimpse of the magnificent Iran.
Watching in the uk what a beautiful country so much amazing history and architecture kind people if only it was safe for a women to travel alone hopefully one day it will be thanks for the video be proud of Iran your country is wonderful. If i was iranian i would not choose to leave such a calm beautiful place
People leave because they are not free to live their lives as they want, they are constantly under the pressures of their government.

The country is beatifull but there is high inflation thats why we want to leave
I am woman and İran is safe place to visit . But of course respect the culture of the land.
And uk is a safe place for women to travel alone?? Lmaooo women get molested and r*ped by disgusting men every day and none of these criminals are either free or they have a crappy short prison sentence. W Iran and shariah law even though they follow the shia version
I'm from Iran but now I'm living in the UK and I want to show Iran to everyone. Very helpful video for me. I watched all of your previous films. Thank you very much.
I watch these videos to feel the joy of foreigners traveling to Iran. My family fled in 79 during the revolution and I have never had the chance to go. hoping one day I will be able to visit my family's home country, eat true Iranian food, and speak my native language in its home. thank you for making this

Ahh the motherland, so refreshing to see positive videos of my beautiful Iran because I'm so over the negative views, comments and the all stereotypes of our country/culture/people. It's sad that when living abroad some of our compatriots feel the need conceal their ethnicity due to the racism, harassment and constant discrimination. Thanks Drew 🙏🏼 great content! Glad you loved Iran. I myself am proud to be Iranian 🎉❤
God bless you.
Its fatherland. We call it fatherland
hi fellow Iranian! ❤
proud to see you are in a better country
make sure you never come back to the motherland because it's beautiful on the outside but it's a sh*thole to live in.

Drew, you are a blessing. You may not be fully aware of it, but you keep inspiring us to do things we've never tried before. God bless you and your family.

As someone with Iranian heritage, watching your videos really brings joy to both me and my family. It really is phenomenal that creators like you are embarking on the journey to better understand Persian culture and share that knowledge with the world -- and you do an amazing job, Drew! Thank you so much for your inspiring and uplifting contributions to the travel content space. :)
Thank you so much! i love your heritage !
Hello
I'm iranian and happy you showed real Iran , it will help mainstream lies goes away and people of other country come and see real Iran .
Iranian history is incomparably impressive.
And Iran itself is quite beautiful.
I am a fan!
if the Islamic regime of Iran didnt exist it would've been even more beautiful and maybe one of the best countries in the world
I am Iranian and in your opinion thanks
@@Hiradpro13 You preferred the USA puppet govt ? Mind your business.
We spent there a month last year. That was THE MOST AMAZING country we have ever seen, despite we saw over 70 of them so far.
AGREED !!
It was our pleasure to had you as our guest… 🌸🌸🌸

I've met many Iranian people, they are always polite and genrally great people. They are very beautiful as well. I've met many ladies here in the UK who look like models and I also met a family in Turkey who were visiting on holiday. Great people.
As an Iran who hasn’t been home in 20 years thank you for making this. Cried many times watching this 💜
I always tell my friends that Iranians are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. It’s just our governments that hate each other which is sad. I hope to travel all through Iran one day and love your videos!
Very sad at the end hearing what’s going on in Iran from some of their people. Wish we could get rid of both our governments and all of us just get along.
Thank you God bless USA 🇺🇲❤️🇮🇷

You made me cry as I’m half Iranian/swiss and you just ate my favorite dish, Ashe Rechteh also called the soup of the poor. I have to go back to Iran for sure. Middle eastern people are amazing 😊
