Carson, well done! I never got into Leatherman knives. I guess it was because I worked in a factory environment and travelled for almost 50 years. Neither are conducive to wearing a tool box on your hip!
But, now that I am retired and get to putter around the homestead aimlessly, I think that I should get one. For it is apparent that every time I start to putter into a project, I need a pair of scissors, an awl or a No2 Phillips.... that is way over yonder. And, at my advancing age, I need to stop enjoying the cruise to the tool crib and start thinking about actually getting something done!
After watching this.... I even know which Leatherman I want... and what to look for in a sheath.... that I'll never work hard enough or live long enough to wear out!
    Thanx

Leatherman has a great selection of Multitools.

Did leatherman give you a new ainsworth sheath since the one you got for your surge got damaged?

No, I did not send it in for warranty or repair. This happened 2 years ago so my memory may be a little bit foggy but if I remember correctly leatherman does not have a lifetime warranty sheaths.

I have the Wave+ that I dug out of the trash at a previous job. I sent it in for warranty and good as new. I think I would like a more durable pair. The snips don't work as good as I would like. Maybe I will look into the surge. The woven case is not my favorite. I use the factory one for a while but the snap stopped working. I've had a leather case for the last two years which has served me very well.
