Thanks for stopping by to check out our factory!
I was 10 years old in 1986 when I got my very first Leatherman tool and I have never been without one in the 37 years since.
I'm a huge fan of Leatherman, I never leave the house without one! The only multitool I carry and trust. From the Bond, Curl, Super Tool 300 and Surge. I have multiple tools for different tasks and chores. God bless Mr. Tim Leatherman, Ben Rivera and all those employees at the company.
I LOVED this video, I LOVE MY LEATHERMAN! I have over 20, I collect and I never leave the house without one. The quality is excellent. Thank you for Leatherman letting us the diehard fan & customer to see how it’s made.
This reminds me, I need to get mine repaired.
Great tools and a great company. I got a Leatherman as a gift, and I use it daily, best gift I've ever received hands down.
I still have my 1984 original Leatherman. Although I lost it for 10 years because of divorce, I regained it and is still part of my EDC to this day.
I bought some cheap walmart china knockoffs in the latter '90s, but the plier tine half would break off and I ended up only using the knife or punch, so i never got the real thing, but this is a fantastic tour and 300T press is short for "quality", that much forging pressure would make good stuff from iron or aluminum depending on thickness.
Awesome still made in America, Japan has companies that are 500 years old, and while some might say the jobs we sent them went to vietnam/china, the fact is they're still there supplying domestic japan market, so less jobs yes, but still present.
Nice had now idea it is made in Oregon
7:49 That would be such a cool job to do
Lol i got the old leatherman kick in black
is it a good one lance
Yea I had it for years but Leatherman don't make this model anymore
@@lancezebeau1035 That's a shame. I was looking it up and couldnt find it. Makes perfect sense then
How much fun would a factory tour be!!
I sure wish you had a better camera man!
I would've liked to see a lot better, closer, longer clips of what's going on there!
Hey brother! We have the best camara guy in the business BUT we also have to respect Leatherman's business and NOT show all their trade secrets to the people that are trying to copy them. We want Leatherman to stick around and not let some company overseas watch our video and do some knock offs.
2:29 Bro wearing his safety shorts
In spite of the corrupt government something good has been done in Oregon .
Cool where can I buy them
Amazon. Knife stores. Sporting goods stores. Hardware stores. Online knife, sporting goods and hardware stores. 😂
Made by machines, assembled by humans...
Sure Victornox makes great multi tools but are they as cool as the Leatherman's? NOPE
Always overpriced
The cnc equipment and preses they have and all the dies that form the steel aren't cheap. I did get a Wingman and a Sidekick recently at my local Ace Hardware for a around $46 bucks although the Wingman ranged up $69 but the price tag said $49 so they sold it to me for that price. I had an $7 Ace Coupon for both too lol
They used crappy 420HC steel for the knife, Chinese companies can make exactly the same with ⅛ of their price😂
