Seems clear to me that the more powerful of the two is the Demonic Crucible, at least in raw energy storage. I mean its able to indefinitely power the Fortress of Doom all by itself, unless you're telling me the Fortress is super energy efficient, to which I would counter with "Why the hell does it take two gigantic batteries to power up a door?" Can you do a video on the different titans of Doom? Seems to me they come in classes. There are your basic Hell Barges which are essentially just slaves to higher ranking demons, there's the Icon of Sin, which is a world eating God of Destruction, and then there is the in between, like the Dreadnaught you see in Taras Nabad that the Slayer... uh... slew all those eons ago with his Crucible blade, and the Champion who's corpse was so massive it became known after meeting his end at the Slayer's hands as a realm unto itself. It doesn't make sense to me that these badass, indestructible, unstoppable, gargantuan creatures are also slaves and mere minions to things like Hell Priests, guys so weak I'm not sure a boxing match between them and my paraplegic grandmother would last 5 rounds before they got their ass put in the dirt. On one hand they serve the priests and other demons as slaves, and on the other hand they are destroyers of worlds. Seems inconsistent.
Ok ripntear, time I comment on this vid you made: I don't think you can fully judge just how powerful the demonic crucible is because we haven't seen the Slayer use its blade. The only person who might have is Hayden from the codices we've read. But I'm not convinced that the Slayer would have created it himself or had it built for him, as he'd know it'd contain the souls of his brothers-in-arms. Furthermore, if you look at the demonic crucible's blade VERY carefully, you'll see the markings on it look just like the markings on the Slayer's crucible. To me, this seems that it's possible that after going up against the Slayer, the demons wanted to reverse engineer the crucible weapon, but powered by argent energy so that it'd be the stronger one. However, they couldn't created a PERFECT replica due to the blade markings, which in turn meant despite its power, the demons themselves weren't immune to its power. This is then consistent with why Hayden was able to use the demonic crucible against them before the events of Eternal. As for the whole draining power from the wraiths, it's possible that this was something built into the demonic crucible as a contingency plan. It's possible the Dark Lord knew all along that trapping the Slayer in the sarcophagus was only a temporarily solution, and that at some point in the future he'd escape. If so, the demonic crucible had this ability to move the wraith's power elsewhere in Hell, so that should the Slayer find out about the Well and go after the wraiths, the demons can move the energy elsewhere, leaving the Slayer to go on a wild goose chase, and all for nothing. With regards to how the Slayer knew how to activate it, it's possible that the Slayer found out about the demonic crucible's function during his crusade in Hell, but the demons sealed him away before he had a chance to take it. For the sentinel crucible, I'm not even sure if the Slayer's one was powered by wraith or Argent energy. Its color is red, and the markings on it seem to be similar to those on the Marauder's ax, which would imply it's powered by Argent energy. But then again, given that the Titan he beat on Taras Nabad already had the red blade in him, which was BEFORE the Makyrs struck a deal with Hell, this tends to get confusing. For all we know, the Marauder ax had argent energy, but that power simply didn't change its appearance (ie markings and energy color). It's still confusing for me. You let me know what you think of this.
@@11jerans A Very good point about the weakness of the hellpriests. I wish that there would be something that would explain their frailness. In Doom 2016 there's a tree in Kadingir Sanctum that repeats 4 verses of a dark prophecy, part of which mentions the demonic Crucible and something upcoming that even Hell itself fears more than the Slayer. "Could he be demon kin, spawned from the loin of a grotesque infidel? Yet, the seal of the heretic binds him. His origin is as dark as his coming." "The power held within the Crucible will punish man-born and demon kin alike. It will crush the divide. It will corrupt all realms. It will create the monster. It must never be found." "Yet even as the Doom Slayer revels in the spoils of his war, another shall rise from the fires: a dark priest consumed by the Crucible. And even the Doom Slayer shall weep in his shadow." "The heretic-turned-apostle Olivia, birthed of the dawn of our resurrection, by her hand we cross the divide. And for her tribute, she shall be granted the form of the Dread Widow." Just how big is the Icon of Sin?
Demonic crucible is awesome!!!
Wuda bn awesome to have been able to use that one to....u know fuck shit up.
Also i feel there are waaaay too many plot holes in doom eternal. Unfortunately other than speculations we aint getting anything else at this point.
I also feel the way the 'story' was handled in doom 2016 was better.
I wanna know how slayer got free, how he got the fortress, the stuff with the coins, the new praetor suit, the other cities on sentinel prime, the story behind both the crucibles and how the hell is it that sentinel prophecies have the doom slayer in it and how the fuck is it that ONLY the slayer is able to use the crucible...?! Too many questions not too sure abt getting satisfactory answers though.
👍
I think I know what the power of the crucibles are it is argent energy

"...it was by Hell's unholy design that the Icon of Sin was given flesh. The fearsome Titan, forged from the essence of mortal suffering, once bore a human soul..."
