For Deag Ranak we can assume It came from the body of one of the Doom Hunters since they're his guardians, they game just did not bother showing it at the time. For Deag Nilox probably wouldn't be the imps so It would imply he had a lame protection, instead probably he killed some nastier creature before the game begin. I wanted to know what would happen If he killed Nilox before retrieving the token tho, If he would eventually resurrect, or would he just not die, or maybe If the blood seal would not break even after his death.

As for The Wretch, I would hazard that id actually mixed The Wretch and the Betrayer together to be the one character. He is the only other Sentinel with a Praetor Suit, he willingly helps the Slayer, and he was referred to as the Wretched Betrayer. I think The Wretch was retconned, man.

I finished 2016 again right before Eternal and I found it jarring to see the Slayer instantly in the Fortress with no explanation, lore or otherwise in the first mission. Judging by the new artwork the story dlc might still kickass and be an apology for Bethesda's awful PC anti-cheat, one can hope.

I have a theory about why he junked his old suit. The Slayer doesn;t like argent energy (I think that's well established in the first game when he cuts off the lines to it to earth) & yet he used it in his praetor suit. He probably wanted to get the thing off as soon as he made his way to the fortress because of the argent energy that flowed through it.

If instead of simply teleporting, he was travel at near light speed, then time for him moves slower than the rest of the universe. There is an old 80s movie, Flight of the Navigator that deals with this concept.

I think the slayer was sent to hell at the end of doom 2016. Im guessing it was a place very near his fortress of doom or was being kept as a trophey of some one. Im thinking that hell priest had his soul amulet thing stored either in that fortress or sealed in the one who posessed the fortress of doom and that was hwo the SLAYER got ahold of it. After that it was most likly a time to get the thing working ( possably scouting for sentinal batteries or somthing similar to power the fortress and to retries any missing parts that could have been removed) and to get it to above earth.
Looking at the codex, the betrayer's armor, and piecing together a mental timeline what I think happened when it comes to the praetor suit is that The slayer spent most of his time on Argent D'Nur either in the doom armor or in prisoner garb, then once his officially became a sentinel soldier he was given the sentinel armor (much like the betrayer), and once trapped in hell his sentinel armor became broken, but the wretch repaired and upgraded the suit (but couldn't fix the blade and shoulder launcher), turning it into the praetor suit. Then once the slayer got the fortress he either modified or reverse engineered the praetor suit and ended up with the Eternal suit as a result, with he added sentinel bits back on (shoulder launcher and doom blade.)
Doom Slayer was sent to Hell by Sam at the end of Doom. That’s what the Tether did. It yanked him across dimensions to/from Hell throughout the game and was controlled by Sam. Now after the invasion, the portal was freely open. Slayer came back from Hell via Hell Barge at the beginning of Doom Eternal because the Hell Priest used it to ferry his army across dimensions to invade so that was Doom Slayer’s passage back.
Honestly I thought that the wretch was just another name for the seraphim. i had the idea that the demons would’ve called him the wretch as an insult in their tablets, because he helped the slayer

This could actually be the titan we see in Taras Nabad since this fight never necessarily took place in Hell and the final History of The Sentinels entry shows the Slayer’s Atlan which could be the one we see in Titan’s Realm. The wretch could also be The Betrayer as the forges of the wretch are in Hell. Humans have not yet found Hell, Makyrs can’t go into Hell, and the Slayer would (probably) never bargain with demons, only leaving the Sentinels or someone we haven’t seen yet. He is also described as a heretic but loyal to the Slayer. We have already seen that Doom might play with giving characters different names with the Seraphim/Sammur/Samuel and the Father/Vega

I don't think he was sent to hell. Samuel said he couldnt kill him. I think hayden needed just a bit of time without the slayer around and knew he would return... as he always does and was banking on that. So sent him to the fortress. I feel there are supposed to be 3 of the "angels" that advise Khan but we've only seen 2. I also feel like we've never seen the crouching creature we see as statues in Taras Nabad. What if that creature is a craftsman on Argenta? What if a third angel was the inside man, the unknown creature helped improve the praetor suit, and Samur was to "bless" the doom guy to become the slayer. Denying a prophecy is a lot of work for 1 being.
We Will get more Lore in a future DLC - im sure we Will get to experience what happened in the time between 2016 and Eternal. Perhaps he was send to another dimension, meet a other version of himself Who helped him with the fortress and suit?

Too bad I can't play the damn game for now thanks to the patch that introduces the very suspicious denuvo anti-cheat which triggers kaspersky. Uninstalling both from my system was a bitch and a half since denuvo likes to leave bits of itself deep inside the registry when it shouldn't even have any business to. It literally force-closes the game when you opt out just to play single player. Am seriously considering pirating a hacked copy for now to get my doom eternal single player fix. I don't think much happened in between the games. I like how Doom eternal just puts you right in the action. To get started you just need to know that you need to stop the invasion and in order to do that you must hunt down these hell priests. The rest of the story naturally unfolds later.

I don't think he was sent to hell. Samuel said he couldnt kill him. I think hayden needed just a bit of time without the slayer around and knew he would return... as he always does and was banking on that. So sent him to the fortress. I feel there are supposed to be 3 of the "angels" that advise Khan but we've only seen 2. I also feel like we've never seen the crouching creature we see as statues in Taras Nabad. What if that creature is a craftsman on Argenta? What if a third angel was the inside man, the unknown creature helped improve the praetor suit, and Samur was to "bless" the doom guy to become the slayer. Denying a prophecy is a lot of work for 1 being.
We Will get more Lore in a future DLC - im sure we Will get to experience what happened in the time between 2016 and Eternal. Perhaps he was send to another dimension, meet a other version of himself Who helped him with the fortress and suit?

Too bad I can't play the damn game for now thanks to the patch that introduces the very suspicious denuvo anti-cheat which triggers kaspersky. Uninstalling both from my system was a bitch and a half since denuvo likes to leave bits of itself deep inside the registry when it shouldn't even have any business to. It literally force-closes the game when you opt out just to play single player. Am seriously considering pirating a hacked copy for now to get my doom eternal single player fix. Bethesda done fucked up.

I don't think much happened in between the games. I like how Doom eternal just puts you right in the action. To get started you just need to know that you need to stop the invasion and in order to do that you must hunt down these hell priests. The rest of the story naturally unfolds later.
