- Okay, don't shoot me - I filmed this in JANUARY! Boy, do I suck at being timely...hah! I swear, I'm usually not this late when it comes to editing and posting :) But ANYWAY, I know you guys love grocery hauls so here's another one for ya! This is a combination of my friend/housemate who has recently gone vegan (y'all know who he is!) and my groceries. We usually do a big order maybe once a month or so, and then see how much food we have. I usually like to keep lots of things stocked in the pantry because I get insecure when i have little food! this is an issue!

Yay. Big haul. Those quorn cubes are good in casseroles. I put them in my pasta casserole with veggies and oatmilk. First I fried them with chilies and garlic in a little bit of oil.
It's amazing that you try to shop once a month and can store that much food. The storage space in our kitchen is so small that we can only store a few days' worth. Great haul!

People come to my place and think I'm some sort of mini prepped with food.
I'm like no, I like to keep my pantry stocked. You never know when you hit hard times and can't go food shopping and need to rely on your pantry.
Love to see that you support the Swedish company Oatly.. Their oat milk is fantastic :)
If you'd like to save more money at home & have some time, I highly suggest making your alternative milk at home. It's closer to cents per gallon instead of dollars. Then you can also control the amount of processing it goes through, how thick you'd like it, etc. I use peanut milk, but you can also make oat milk at home. It works as a great replacement in curries, lattes, & baked goods!

I think I go through about 4 one liter bottles of plant milk a week, alongside the same amount of coconut water. I try to cut back, but my favourite sweet treat is a chocolate hazelnut milk with coconut water, a little bit of soy milk, some hazelnuts, cocoa powder, maca powder, dates and chia seeds. I can't help myself.
You should totally do a review on all those new products you buy! :) Love your hauls!!
New to vegetarian/vegan life and started with Quorn products. Love love LOVE them. However I'm gluten intolerant so I had to get the one with egg. But even that I loved. I hope you like the vegan version!!

you buy the same sweet chilli sauce that i do. i love it! though like you said it is not pleasant to see a chicken on the front of the bottle, i usually turn the bottle so it is facing backward so i do not have to see it. plus when you try that fake chicken could do a review on it. i seen it in the stores here but i was not sure if i wanted to try it.
+Misscoolfinds I would say the quorn pieces are pretty good and nice to add to a stirfry or something. I wouldn't say it's the greatest fake meat ever but also not bad! It's quite savoury and a little salty :) You don't get a lot in the package though!

Quorn now also make some vegan spicy bean burgers which are delicious! I like to use meat-free mince in my cooking. The quorn one contains egg but both tesco and Morrissons brand are vegan. 😀
It's well worth paying a little more for the organic spinach from Asda. It keeps fresh for a LOT longer than their regular stuff that you're buying.

I have not tried store bought Oat Milk yet, usually make my own, but hmm, maybe when I go back for the spinach I will pick one up. VeganMachine the original isnt. But they brought out a vegetarian version, and then a vegan version. Tells u on the label but the bottle is totally different aswell. Ive not tried it myself tho as i no longer drink alcohol xx

I try get in plastic containers due use less resources n energy to make than can n glass jars, so more affordable, duh! u make such great tasty vegan food n knowledge for such young newly vegan person like you, very good.

Quorn vegan products are so awful. I use the Linda McCartney meat. It's called vegetarian but it's vegan - no milk or eggs and they taste so much better and not like rubber.

+Nicole A. no particular reason - i actually really like soy milk. I just feel like almond milk is a bit healthier, plus I get the unsweetened almond milk. But yeah, I don't avoid soy milk!
Be careful with Quron. When it says don't thaw and refreeze DON'T do it! At some point the one I got thawed and refroze. I was so sick for a week. Not once but twice. The second time was when I realized it was from that. But other then that the first time I had it was awesome! I think it was the closet thing to chicken I had ever found.

It's been a few years since I tried it. I originally had the chicken breast. I think it was made out of mushrooms. That's probably why it said not to thaw and refreeze. But now every time I see a chicken replacement my stomach turns. It makes me said I use to really love chicken.
Where do you shop? I've never seen any of those brands.

What do you think about TVP- textured soy protein? I know they sell it in 'mince' form in Tescos.
Do you still get your groceries delivered? I get mine from Sainsbury's, and every order now I've had a voucher for £10 off for every £50 I spend next shop.
Also, I know you like to go out to eat. I tried the Zizzi vegan pizza (first non-vegan restaurant to make a vegan pizza) and it was really good! The 'mozzarella' is called MozzaRisella. I don't often eat vegan 'cheese', but I wanted to support this because it shows a demand for vegan produce from non-vegan companies.
I like tvp in pasta sauce, but it is not a whole food. I have been wanting to try soy curls which are supposedly made from the whole soybean not just defatted soy flour.

Hi, I really like your videos, and it's only been recent that I decide to become a vegetarian. I was wonder if you or anyone really who knows any TH-camr that makes vegetarian meals?
+Jelly Fish as a vegetarian, you can eat all vegan meals so I suggest following vegan youtubers and vegan recipes rather than vegetarian. No need for dairy/eggs in our diet :) I have some easy recipes on my channel and channels like 'hot for food' and 'the vegan corner' make amazing and delicious looking vegan recipes so you won't miss any of the non-vegan stuff!

I was wondering how much you spend every month in groceries because I'm trying to keep it under $200 (US dollars) and it seems that by the 3rd week all I have left is some canned beans and peanut butter.
+susi q I definitely spend under $200US a month... I usually do a grocery order like this once a month or so (and it's usually about £40-50 - maybe around 65 US dollars) and I buy produce and other bits and pieces throughout the month which doesn't add up to too much. I suggest buying no-name or in-store brands, buying things like grains and beans in bulk, buy dry beans and cook them from scratch... also shop around to see if you can find cheaper grocery stores and alternatives.

Good recipes, but you produce a lot of waste with all that packaged food. I recommend making your own sauces, beans, etc. Save the waste, sort of hypocritical for a vegan to claim they are saving the planet when generating a large amount of unnecessary waste.
