I LOVE Fry's so much! My boyfriend ate meat when we met and now he's veggie and I would say 99.9% vegan, the mock meats help so much when I'm cooking for him 🙌🏼 the beef strips by Fry's are so so good, I cut them really thin and then made crispy chilli beef with them, there's a photo on my Instagram (omggemma) they worked out really well 😭🙌🏼 I do an Ocado order every few months for these kinds of things too, they are the only place I have ever found that stock Oatly foamable barista milk!

You can make oatcakes out of oatmeal (so yummy and easy!) or you can make a porridge out of it too, it'll just be smoother than regular porridge. :)

I haven't found celery to be expensive in Canada right now, but bell peppers are ridiculously expensive right now so make sure to eat lots of them too!

You can find black beans in Tesco: the dried ones are in the section with quinoa, cous cous etc, and the canned ones can be found in the Caribbean section of the World Foods aisle! :)
Unsweetened plain dairy free yogurt can be used for amazing creamy sauces and to replace sour cream. It's also much cheaper than nuts. I make Swedish style meatfreeballs with it and it's amazing!
I really do love grocery hauls! I don’t know why but I love looking at food I guess lol.
I will have to try our Alpro yogurt when in London I guess!
I use oat flour to make pancake just adding some water. Usually I buy oatmeal (less expensive)and I blend it myself in a coffee grounder to make flour with it. I once did cupcake also and it was really good.
You can use the finely ground oatmeal to thicken smoothies without bananas...
to thicken homemade vegan white sauce....
to make oatmeal pancakes... etc.! :)
Best places (in the UK) to buy black beans and black eyed peas (and lots of other beans/lentils) are Indian/oriental grocery stores!

No Alpro vegan yoghurt in Canada (as you know). Enjoy it while you can! Your grocery hauls are very useful to those of us who travel - specific products we can look for when we go overseas. Wish more vegans would do food and restaurant reviews from their hometowns/international destinations...
I really don't get why so many vegans frown upon meat substitute products. I eat a lot of them, and yeah i guess its processed food but its not like you're buying processed meat and if i may, for one second put aside the cruelty aspect of the diet at least you are safe in the knowledge that you aren't eating mashed up horse! Yeah, i'm lookin at you, Tesco lasagne.

Ocado is amazing!! Really awesome "vegan" filter and in the uk at least it's much cheaper than the supermarket equivalent !

Fry's sausages are the best thing you will ever taste, the cheese ones have vegan cheese in the middle, all my non-vegan friends love them, please try them next time haha, please do a taste test cause I'd love to see if there other stuff is just as good :) Loved this video!

the Amy's sandwich is so damn good. Fry's are good too, I had the beef style burgers this week and they are amazing! another personal favourite are fry's chicken style nuggets, and I always keep a pack in the freezer for when I'm feeling unhealthy. ocado is great for vegan treats (pesto and chocolate being great examples) but I think they could benefit from a better selection of vegan cheese.
Being in Michigan--Land of Soy(Thanks, Henry Ford!)--one can buy blocks of tofu so unwieldy, half has to be frozen, or it will spoil before use. So these Munchkinland size tofu blocks were OK by me : ) This was an interesting haul; I always assume shipped is going to be more costly, but this one looked to be a bargain. Curious as to whether the produce is good; I think produce should be bought fresh from shops/farmers markets, but maybe Ocado deliver perishables as punctually as a distributor would deliver to a grocer? Thanks for posting!

You should try the Coconut or the Vanilla Alpro yoghurts!! They're my favourites ~ they're also usually on offer for £1 in sainsbury's and tesco :3

My kind of video, i love vegan grocery hauls!!! Have you tried Alpro Almond yogurt? Is very good. I love when i go to a specific place, and some alpro products are near the expiration date and i get them half the price!
I reckon that fine oatmeal would work well in a morning smoothie.

Asda does a whole bunch of accidentally vegan ready made salads / couscous with veg type stuff in the ready made salad section and different types of hummus, just to let you know!! Just read ingredients as some stuff isn't vegan.

+Alice Zhou I've heard that apple sauce can be used as an egg substitute. You can use any milk or oil that is vegan and it should turn out the same.
Those are typically the only things box mixes call for.

If you drink lots of almond milk it might be cheaper to make it yourself- blend 3 1/2 cups of water with 1 cup of almonds (soaked overnight) 😊
Also can you do a vid on how to incorporate lentils in dishes? Like apart from pasta and curries idk how to use them.
+veryfancydoily you can throw a handful in rice or make them into patties, add to soups etc. Very versatile.

I've tried the Pepper Steak Pies- the pastry was good (I mean, how could it not be lol) but the like fake meat was definitely not. However I just tried the Fry's traditional burger patties which were really good :)

Taifun is the best brand of tofu i know, it's really worth it! They grow the tofu in Germany and Austria and the company is really transparent :).

I would like to see how you would make vegan shopping and cooking work here. I am from the US and live in New Zealand and I am pretty disappointed a lot of the time with the vegan shopping here. Most tofu is that size or 300 gm, there are no good vegan yoghurts so I just bought a yogurt maker so I can make almond yougurt. It is a base for so many yummy things. I don't think this is a reason to move home though as you would probably agree that I should make my own stuff anyway. I love your channel and it is very helpful as far as keeping to the basics and hence staying healthy. Thanks for sharing your haul, you are adorable!

+Yasmin Aden it's all for me, baby! haha it really depends.. frozen/pantry items i literally just always have stocked up in the kitchen otherwise I might start panicking when food starts getting low. I still have beans/lentils left from a couple of months ago that I am still using. I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse.
How was your iHerb experience? (I saw your recent haul) and I'm always cautious about international delivery because they can charge you for extra stuff, customs/ I don't even know.
+Summer Y depends on where you're shipping to! to order to the UK, you'll get charged (i think) if you go over £15 worth of stuff or something like that. so i never order over £15 when i'm shipping to the UK.

I am judging! - jk , you can grow your own celery by puting the stem a container with a little bit of water then put in front of a window you can do the same with lettuce.

+Cheap Lazy Vegan I have seen a lot online about how plant based milks are bad for you. As a new vegan this has left me confused about what the healthiest type of plant based milk is. What is your opinion?
+Chanel Underwood don't believe everything you hear online. I don't really think there's any plant-based milk that is bad for you, but then again, i'm not an expert. Almond milk is probably a good/safe option! :) Maybe rice milk too. If you're really worried, you can even make your own almond milk so you don't get any preservatives and stuff. just google it :)

+R unners haha living in london, most people don't drive - so it's hard to get lots of stuff at once in the grocery store! Grocery deliveries can be really cheap so why not ? :) too lazy to go to the store. it's so convenient
