I am realy enjoying my CSL DD with boost kit. I was really happy with my CSW 2.5, but I sold it, because the CSL DD is way more quiet (almost silent), smoother, more detailed, more compact and does not have a belt that will become more loose in time. I am running the 8 Nm CSL DD at around 60% of its torque and that is plenty for me. I cannot imagine to upgrade to any other wheelbase soon. Superb wheelbase, highly recommended!
that's a relief to hear! I'm coming from a t300rs and hope i feel the same way and never need to upgrade the base 😅
If only it was compatible with PC and PS, I would habe grabbed it day one probably

Guys, it's all fun and games, the DD is awesome, but we need availability and pricing for CSL Pedals with the loadcell kit asap. How are we supposed to enjoy and adapt this new standardd if the only loadcell pedals you currently sell are priced higher than the base itself? We need the csl lc, and for a fair price(i know what a loadcell costs, sorry), so it can be purchasedd as a kit and enjoyedd from day 1.. Thank you!!
This. Pedals are equally important, if not even more important than the wheel. Maybe we should cancel our orders until we hear news. I've waited 4 months already, I can wait a bit more 😁

I want one too, going to be expensive... including wheel and pedals it's already around €800-1000. But I'm also waiting for the PS version. But it's still the cheapest DD wheel.

Looks amazing team got this bad boy on order moving from a 920 and gutted its been delayed was due in october but hopefully due november 2nd now early xmas presemt just cant get over how that much tech and power is stored in that tiny little box looks so well built had it on order now since june when it was annouced so eagerly waiting to get my hands on it but am sure it will be worth the wait
I had the same Nov 2 availability date and just got an email notice 2 days ago that my order was in the warehouse prepping to ship. Moving up from Logitech also and the anticipation is driving me nuts! Already using the Clubsport V3 pedals I ordered separately and can't believe how much they've already improved my driving.

@@teaks68 i ordered it the same day and it will arrive on 19th october but one week ago the shipping day changed on 8th october. I'm in italy 🤔. Now how I ordered the csl pedals and when the load cell will be available I will do another order so i payed three times the shipping coasts 😢

I hear ya. From the time I decided to pull the trigger on a sim rig until I finally got it all was about 7-8 months. But that was when the pandemic started. I had made my decision just before that damned bug went worldwide.

@@MrJesseisthebest I hear ya. It WILL be a long month. But 1 month compared to how much time you will get to spend _with it_ is nothing (neither is the 5 total months). The wait will be ancient history before you know it.
I can't believe it's already been a year since I got mine. That wait seemed endless. But now I've had it longer than I waited for it.
And now I've gotta wait for this one. It will likely be quite a while before supplies allow me to get it. Another 7-8 months? Another year?
Oh well. So long as I can make the belted one last until then, I'll be good.

I am using a CSL elite pedal set with my T400 using a basherboards CPX adapter so I'm set for Pedals when I get the CSL DD

they were probably gonna price it $500-600 and less torque.
Got mine few days ago, but sadly the bolts that i used for the CSL Elite, are too long for this. So i need to buy new bolts in the next days, after i scratched the new base's bottom with the old bolts, because i thought that they will be good for this too... :( Always read the user's manual first... :)
If you have a CSL Elite, make sure to update your drivers, I did notice a significant difference.
can't see any tuning on CSL Elite in the last versions of drivers. What differences did you noticed exactly ?

Received mine a couple weeks ago but sadly it doesn't work. Doesn't send power/signal from the wheel base to the steering wheel (tried two different fanatec wheels). RMA process started but taking a very long time.

Why dont you ship to anywhere other than Europe, North America, Japan or Australia? It's so hard to get Fanatec here in Malaysia..
Same issue in New Zealand. have to use a freight forwarder but it means that getting warranty support will be difficult/expensive due to shipping.

I was enjoying my CSL DD for a week, then the steering shaft keeps losing connection, ruining my races. I’ve tried tightening the clamp, still happens. I’ve reached out to Fanatec but they haven’t responded. I wish to return it. Do I need to dispute the credit card charge??

Okay, so its brushless 3 phase dc motors with, I assume, a shaft encoder and some rj11 or rj45 plugs for peripherals....
Instead of the OBVIOUSLY slackened belt design which would have used a smaller more efficient motor through a series of pulleys. Which would work fine with a properly tightened timing belt, but for some reason someone put a smooth belt on smooth pulleys, then made sure to not tension the system, like at all...
I mean, Im not saying there hasnt been some effort put into a fancy casing and control circuitry for the BLDC core, there has been, it looks pretty schmeck. Minus the wheel mount with slip ring power pass through (which honestly isnt much of an issue) and the positioning (which, in fairness is hard to do right, not impossible, just a lot of low resolution encoders out there), I'm struggling to justify what amounts to a $100 motor at best STARTING at $350, er sorry, €350. Another point ill give is the control software integration, thats a fair bit of programming.
But i gotta say, in this day and age of faux walles gardens, calling it an 'ecosystem' sticks of when pc parts manufacturers thought they could just call ws2812 ARGBs by some silly name and trick people into thinking they had to be married to one manufacturer.... Makers, who had been using neopixles for ages by the time Corsair and the others clued into them, saw them and were like ".... hey. Thats a neopixle. I bet my Arduino could talk to them" Sure enough, they could. And down came the walls. And while, yes, these days there are more than just the ws2812s (like the sk6805, and the apa102, etc), all similar ARGB type addons will work with any controller...or at least they should. Otherwise the company is treating you like a walking wallet with barely enough braincells to breath... Do not reward that kind of behavior with your business.
Anyhoo, thats why 'ecosystem' is a red flag word to us nerds who know exactly how this thing works just by looking at it. Please. Don't be like those shysters....CSL. I mean, Id rather build my own (on a rotating Stewart platform while I'm at it! YEAH 😃), however not everyone is secure in themselves enough to cast off the 'i suck' mentality and opt to buy lego style components....which is valid....i dont have to like it for it to be valid....for building out their racing obsession shrine (100% no judgments here, yall. I may be coming in at a different angle but I am right there with ya!)... just, ya know, CSL, dont be like those manufacturers that bank on the users ignorance of common technology. It really will lead to a much more inherently positive perception of the brand across the board even by people who don't utilize your products. That's a hard thing to get in some markets. Not saying ya do, but this is the first video I've seen of your product, and too many manufacturers do engage in that kind of practice, and it's really a turn off... Thus my two cents.

3 weeks of use , the clamp loosening and my dd keeps disconnecting from my pc, they have solution but not permanent. It will loose again every 2-3 hours of use
I will try changing it clamp and see how it goes, besides that, its an amazing piece of german enginering😊

Which wave were you? Mine was in wave 1 and it arrived in mid august.

Judging by all the delays in manufacturing, shipping, and the damned pandemic slowing things down, it will likely be _at least_ a year from now before I can lay hands on one. Probably into 2023, even.

@@tonyamendolara5515 there is a chance still. A lot can happen in three months. They can announce it when the reviewers have it and are ready to review it. There's a possibility the reviewers have it already. Besides I didn't see anywhere that they said the playstation version was being released this year.

Buyer beware!! This product is prone to a common issue where the input shaft (which connects internally via usb c - kind of chinsy imo) backs itself out while you use the wheel. I’ve had mine for a few months and this has happened numerous times. Fanatec is aware of the issue and their “solution” is to undo the clamp ring, push the shaft into the base, and re-tighten the ring. I’ve done this multiple times and it just keeps happening. The wheel feels great, however this significant issue makes the product extremely unreliable. Very disappointed that I spent my hard earned money on this.

Loved getting the delayed shipping notice the other day.... after being bumped to wave 2 despite being an existing customer. Haven't even received my wheel base yet and I'm already disappointed.

CSL DD is a good product but it definitely is not as smooth as they claim It to be. I can definitely feel the small steps that are created due to the distance between coils and the shape of the "drum". My previous wheelbase was Thrustmaster T300RS and I would say that the CSL DD has roughly the same detail but obviously, the force is just stronger so you can detect the traction loss faster. In general, I think it is a good product but severely overhyped. As a second thought, I would wait until TM and Logitech release their next-gen wheels which should also happen within 6-12mo.
Logitech next gen? I don't think they can cram any more buttons onto their gear driver base lulz
Logitech has not announced yet but there are leaks of the new packaging at least which looks like a completely reworked system.
Right so is it pronounced "Fan-A-Tec" or "Fanatick" I've heard several people says it's the latter, but this official video says it like the former? LOL

I dont think so. If it would be available before christmas, they would start to advertise it now. and I dont think they would be able to produce enough to supply the demand until christmas. I have zero clue, but another comment expected it to release together with the new gran turismo, which sounds a lot more realistic…

Fanatec to be avoided in 2024. 15 days of waiting after ordering (still that, it's fine), but CSL DD base broken down after 2 days. No more news from the after-sales service for 3 weeks, and no more news from the shop when I exercised my right of withdrawal. FANATEC is a horror and doesn't give a damn about its customers. I can't wait to hear from them and get my money back so I can go to Moza 😉
When it doesn't compromise on performance or quality, why bother to buy one of your far more expensive ones?

Some people have tried this energy source and say it is a very good thing
3nm more with double the power more, 5nm has 90W and 8nm has 180W, it just makes you feel theres a car more around you

You can argue that it's a $600 wheel base that they've made a lowered spec'd version of at a reduced price to allow people to get into the ecosystem earlier.
