- Can't answer an interview question? Here is what you should do! First, take a sip of water, this will give you some extra time to think of a response. If you still can't answer the interview question, tell the interviewer you will email the response to them after the interview.

Interviewer: Miss, this is your 5th glass of water
Me: IM THINKING OK?

😂😂😂😂😂
If that question is near the end of the interview just take a drink and start choking really bad. Chances are it will be forgotten. 😂
😳
😂😂
Good one😂😂
😂😂😂
Or the situation will be remembered.
Interviewer: Tell me about yourself.
Me: Let me get back to you later
😳
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 😂 People are not serious
😂😂😂
When I made peace with that question everything fall in line simple just talk about yourself all good things though 😅
I finished 3 bottles of water and then I forgot the question in general
😳
😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaaaaaaa
😂😂
Ha ha
I got nervous and threw the water at the interviewer and ran out 😅😅
😳
😂😂

😂😂😂
I excuse myself to get a glass of water, and come back 30 minutes later with an excellent answer
😳
😅😅😅😅😅
Lolol only to find no one when you return 😂
I take a water bottle to my interview, the screwing and unscrewing the lid give you a little more time 😅😭
Good idea! :)
Lmao 🤣 brilliant 🙂
😂😂
Great as soon as the candidate sips and finishes drinking water i will change my question 😎👍🏻
@@civilengineer3917😂😂😂😂 that's funny.
For technical interviews, I've either said I'm currently learning that skill/tool they're asking me about and tell them as much as I know, or I tell them that I was an assistant to someone who used the skill/ tool and wasn't tasked to utilize said item, or I'm just honest and say I don't know however it sounds like it's something I would come across and I look forward to this company teaching me about it.
I LOVE THAT!
I can't wait to learn
This, I do that too.
Out of all the interviews I been to I only been often a glass of water once, but remember good manners whilst drinking it.
Yes this tip would only work if you had water in front of you :)
And how should I breathe? How many blinks per second?
@@CareerVidzThis is what I’m thinking. I will be on online interview on following week.

They dont give water but bringing a bottle of water would be a good alternative!
Great idea!
Make sure it's not disposable plastic
@@pigeonlove why???
They don't offer you water anymore even if you comuted from another city. I went for a job interview recently, and it was one of the hottest days. It was one of the roughest days because I couldn't make it on time due to the train losing its signals. Spent £116 quid to attend the interview, money wasted, annual leave wasted. When I got off the train, I was thirsty and hungry. I didn't get time to buy water or food. I wasn't even offered water when I got there. I left home early, but trains made me late. The interviewers are heartless in the present time. They don't make decisions with sympathy or mercy. They had 10 post didn't even give me one. I've been taken as a joke throughout my career. My qualifications and experience were overlooked.
I'm really sorry to hear this. What role was this for? :)
@@CareerVidz thanks it was band 4 associate practitioner(laboratory job).

Wonderful news! I wish you all the best in your career! :)
Yes sir. Sir please what's your profile on LinkedIn?. I would be glad to connect with a great person like you, i have have learnt positively from most of your career videos.
It is also alright to take a few seconds to think. Never say that you dont know, say something positiv about the company and give a slightly correct answer😁. They'll know that you dont know but they wont think bad about it.
Do you feel like this applies to technical interview questions too? :)
Exactly, I've never been given a glass of water, I only smile my way out of the question or take a few seconds like you said....
@@CareerVidz hardly, I would answer them as much as I can but also tell them that I would call back and give them the specifics today.
@@tonydavid3490 😂
I disagree with “never” say you don’t know. I actually landed a job where I told the interviewer I didn’t know part of the question they asked. They said at the end they liked and respected the honesty, and that I didn’t try to lie or dodge the question. I worked with that person a lot and they mentored me on tons of things I didn’t know. I’ve done the same for them as well.
Obviously always try to do your best to answer the question, but sometimes not knowing is ok
you cannot go back because usually, it is a one time interview per manager/ officer.
Many interviewers welcome an answer after the interview in my experience :)
@@CareerVidzhi so you know if I answered a question incorrectly. I just had a interview recently and they asked what attracted you to the role. Idk why I said I like the part time, job share you have when I don't want to even do part time or job share. I want full time and the post is for full time. Do you think I should email them saying something? Thanks
Oh wow.I never thought you can answer an interview question after leaving the interview
Yes you can, in the situation that you were unable to answer in the interview :)
@@CareerVidzHow about an internal interview for promotion? Can we reply the answer by email? The interview will be online.
I have never received water in an interview
OK sorry
It's so tricky when you come from a doffeent field of work and are expected to use this beautiful technical language. Those who are good with words will get the job.

Doesn't make sense. This will make you hesitant and not comfortable or knowledgeable with the answer. Thus you won't take the job
What makes you say that?
Worst advice ever!
😳 What makes you say that?
Sometimes I ask if they can re-phrase the question. Done it on a few successful interviews!
Interesting! Thanks for sharing! :)
this is why i failed my final interview because I didn't bring a water bottle and they also didn't give me water during my interview...

I would instead ask a question like can you give me an example of what you are asking. Always answer questions. That is a red flag and will put you in a NOPE pile.
What makes you say that? :)
I'm sure what you've got to say is really helpful, but unfortunately I can't listen to someone shouting in a room that echoes 😏

It's a good thing that you declined it, I'm sure it was a test and it could have said a lot about you in a negative way if you agreed. This process is hard and emotionally draining

I had a final interview two weeks ago. Inteeview seemed very engaging and even went 8 mins more than the expected time. I was told by the hiring manager at the end of the interview that keep in touch with the recruiter, who did my first interview. I was also told that in 5-7 days i ll hear back from them. Its been over 2 weeks now, i was checking with the recruiter as requested. Recruiter still did not get any feedback from the hiring manager. It is a relatively new warehouse launch in my country. However the company us operating over 30 countries now. I was told by the recruiter that as soon as they hear back from the hiring manager, they ll inform me. As i said its been two weeks now. What to do ?
You could always contact the company yourself by sending a thank you email to them :) Best of luck! :)

Good advice, but hate to say this, not being able MAY lead you to not getting a job....dependent on the job, industry, etc. If anything, you take it as a learning opportunity to know how to answer the question moving forward.

So... What's the best thing please. Is it advisable to carry water for an interview
How do i go about that...
Is it also bad if i dont drink the water or take a sip out of the water they offered me
It doesn't really matter either way :)
Hello,
Kindly can you please tell us how to talk about the differences when asked to demonstrate our technical skills outlined in the job description vs to demonstrate our experience outlined in the job description? They look quite confusing and somehow hard to tell the difference.
The questions in the application were:
Please give details of why you are applying for this role and how you demonstrate the skills outlined in the job description?
Vs how you demonstrate your experience.
Thank you in advance!
Thanks for the suggestion! What role are you applying for? :)
Depending on the type of question, I always let the interviewer know that I cannot think immediately a response or have not dealt with the subject matter for a long time and will get back with a written response. If it's technical related, I always try to give a high level response and say I cannot think of a detailed one. For eg. I was asked to provide 3 Linux commands related to security, and the last time I used it was over 15 yrs ago. I just told him I have not used it for over 15 years because i have been in management all these years, so have not done any hands on work with Linux, but have managed technical staff who use it daily to get work done. I try to be transparent.
Thanks for sharing :)
