    (I have extremely oily skin)
I've been using the 2nd one shown for "oily skin" and I love everything about it! It leaves my face feeling refreshed and hydrated without the "squeaky clean" feeling which I hate cause I know it's disrupting my skin barrier.
I accidentally bought the 1st one because packaging is almost identical and ended up not liking it. It left me with a heavy sticky feeling after cleansing. I gave it to my husband who has eczema/dry skin and he has no complaints.

I think it also depends on where you are. I use Cerave foaming cleanser (oily skin) and while I lived in Cartagena (Col), hot and humid tropical weather, it was amazing, but now that I live in Stockholm, the weather is cold and less humid, so I feel this cleanser is a bit disruptive for my skin. I would use it for summer, though.

it's sooo frustrating that great products like Cerave are not available here in SE Asia. Even if it is likein online shops, it's soooo expensive dang. 😫 Between the two, I prefer the foaming type since a little goes a long way. It just feels clean but not to the point you feel you're skin is too stretched.

I love Cerave products. I'm using the hydrating cleanser and moisturizing cream. I'm struggling with acne scars, but my skin texture slowly gets better now.
Edit: As I got a lot of questions if Cerave really works for acne skin, I share an update here. A year has passed, I'm still a loyal user of Cerave. It helps my skin barrier and moisturize my skin greatly. Did it help with my acne? Not really. So I had to up my game. Once my skin got better, I used more products to treat my acne and soften the dark spots.
Currently my skin routine for daytime is Snail Essence - Vitamin C - Azelaic Acid - Moisturising Cream - Mineral Sunscreen.
Night time: Snail Essence - Retinal - Moisturising Cream
Twice a week I will exfoliate with chemical exfoliants.
If you have acne, try acne patch. No need to use high brand, Watson brand already do the wonder. It helps to minimize (?) the acne spot without leaving the scar. Remember, don't pinch it okay. Big no no.
Does this skin routine help my skin? Yesssss. I only used the products recommended by the dermatologists (including Dr Ingky - love him! ❤️). Or I learned from them on how to read the ingredients and buy products that I believe is good. I can't thank you enough to all Dr who spent times to educate us. Love them so much ❤️🙂
Most importantly, listen to the dermatologists. Learn from their TH-cam. Know your skin type and learn how to read ingredients. Their advices saved my money..a lot!

Which one helps minimize pores ???

  • @alexandriaelony6858
    @alexandriaelony6858 2 ปีที่แล้ว +92

No doubt, Cerave is a good brand.
Between the two types, I prefers the Moisturizing Cleanser than the Foaming Cleanser.
The moisturizing cleanser feels so good when cleansing on face / skin. It feels like cleansing with lotions.
    So moist and extremely hydrating.
At certain point, I'd compared ceramides with hyaluronic acid, I finds ceramides are more moistful than hyaluronic acid.
I'm a retinol user for more than 13 years, no doubt retinol works wonders, besides diminishing and treats deep set wrinkles and fine lines, it also helps alot in reducing oily skin, shrink pores, keeping pores clean and lesser blackheads and sebums.
Retinol even treats pimple and acne skin for young adults.
No doubt the effects are like miracle, if for long term users like me that more than 13 years or approximately, retinol seems like frozed my age on my appearance, like I'm in my 30's. I'm actually in my mid 40's now.
But retinol has one disadvantage, that is can be quite drying for skin.
I'm pairing using Cerave's moisturizing cleanser which has 3 types of ceramides and it's just perfect. Skin is soft, smooth and well hydrated.
For toner, I'm also using a ceramide toner by Duplair, a Japanese's mid range skin brand. The two pairs excellent for my skin. With my nightly use of retinol, that's how I found my perfect skin's essential or régime.
But certainly, it works well for me, it may not for others. Everyone's skin is different afrerall.
But it's important once had found what's best for your own skin, stay with the items / products. Don't switch around just because there are more and more new interesting stuffs are launch in the skin care industry to the market.
Constantly switching and trying too many skin care products, either skin can't takes it or you won't see immediate effects, everything works the same, you gotta stick with it for a certain duration to be able to see visible results. And also don't waste your money investing on too many new launched products, at the end, you might ended don't see the effects or ended it's a lousy product.
But back to Cerave moisturizing cleanser, it is damp good, the foaming cleanser I find is just very same like any ordinary foaming facial cleansing gels.

hi, idk if you can help me but i have
combination skin but some blackheads. however my skin is eczema prone even tho its controlled. i was thinking of getting the hydrating cleanser to use most of the days and the sa smoothing cleanser to use 2/3 days a week for exfoliation. do you recommend that? any tips? thank you ❤

    • @alexandriaelony6858
      @alexandriaelony6858 ปีที่แล้ว

@@readingbythemoon Hi, if you're going to use the Cerave's SA range of cleanser and toner, then just use these two for trying out a month. And let's see by then if your eczema heals.
I wouldn't want to recommends you for other products or brands that is too costly, and at the end if it doesn't work, you might feel a waste of your money.
Cerave you can trust this brand, it's safe to use and also is not that costly or to say it's affordable.
Another thing, if you wants to try retinol, perhaps, I'm saying perhaps it may work to solve your eczema, or worst it may not.
I'm saying these cause everyone's skin is different. It may work on some people, it may not work for others too. It's something very hard to tell and no guarantees.
For retinol, if you wanna tries it, you may op for cerave's retinol cream, afterall is the same brand.
If not, you might wanna look out for a brand called "RoC" retinol.
This is the brand I'm using for many years and it's reliable.
But, I must tell you, the pricing(s) isn't cheap, it's quite costly, but not extremely costly like some branded cosmetic's brands.
It's all up to you in your choice of investments. But be prepared, in case it all doesn't work, just don't feel too disappointed, keep up and search for other's something to use.
Or, if you wants a precise solutions with what's really suit for your skin, I'll say, it will be much better if you goes to a skin specialist doctor, they are called as "dermatologist".
With a dermatologist's advice, certainly they are more professional and can prescripts you what's right to use for your current skin's condition.
But certainly you have to pay for a fee cause you're seeing a specialist doctor.
Reading online from other's including my experiences, I can't guarantees you a "certainly" will be treated. Cause I'm not a dermatologist. I'm just sharing my experiences that's all.
So, you have a few options to decides on.
And another method but it's a slow method over months, is by drinking a lot of water in a day, says drinking about 3 - 6 litres of water. Cause water helps to flush out our body's internal organ's toxics. And you'll need to go toilet consistently in a day, but it's a way to detox what's not good out from your body.
Water it does help, but you won't see "overnight" immediate results. It's through times.
For me, I'd done it before and still remains the same, 6 litres of water every day and I'd also changed my diet.
I'm on vegetarian. Totally no red meats or seafoods intake for the last 3 years till now.
It does help alot for me that I'd seen.
I was quite plumb a few years ago before 2020.
My body's weight was around 80 - 85kg (177 lb - 188 lb) and with my height of 5 foot 6 inch. Though it may be still okay with my height, but it does looked I'm chubby.
After I'm on my vegetarian diet, since 2022 to now currently 2023, my body's weight had lowered to 70 - 72kg (155 lb - 159 lb).
I'd lost about 10 over kilos of weight naturally through times.
Bare in mind, don't goes to believe and in taking those slimming powders or beverages. They are very highly toxicant ingredients contains in it, that's why many people thought is good and great and happy and satisfied to see immediate results after a few months that they had slimmed down. But they do not know is, they are consuming toxicant products. Long term of intaking, their liver will be the first organ to be damage.
Simplified, nothing comes in immediate results like overnight or just a few weeks or few months. If there is, it surely something not good contains in it.
My vegetarian way and water drinking took me over a year or more slowly and naturally slimmed down and also cleared my skin's condition.
You can always do some research by yourself via Google search. There you'll see what's good and what's suitable for you.
I'm telling you these cause that's what and how I did. I didn't chose the "shortcut" ways and harm my body and skin.
      Good luck ...

The CeraVe foaming has changed my life. I had acne since I was a teenager. Tried everything under the sun to no avail. I started using this in my 40’s, which I still had acne. My acne totally healed up after switching to this. I don’t use anything else, not even moisturizer. My skin is balanced now and doesn’t need anything, but this cleanser. I’m 50 now and have been using this for 6 years. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I use both. Single cleans with the hydrating in the am. And use the foam and than hydrating at evening.

I use the lotion cleanser, it’s so nice, this cleanser doest give me that stripped off moisture after cleansing which I experienced with the other cleansers I used in the past then I also tried their SA cream because I developed bumpy skin on my arms recently and I’m surprised, unbelievable, after 2 days of use, the bumps are gone! Just how

@@bigmike8598 i saw a video where it said you should use a small amount, not too much. so just wet your face, take a small amount into your hands while rubbing it then apply to face.

@@bigmike8598 Yes it should work for you! Make sure despite having oily skin that you use a moisturizer. I thought I had super oily skin type but it turns out I was just overstripping it. Now I use Cerave cleanser, elf holy hydration moisturizer, niacinamide serum, and sunscreen. My skin has gotten much better :)
