Has the SA Smoothing Cream been reformulated? I watched this video a few days after buying a big tub of it. I’ve checked the label and the only alcohols I can see are Cetyl and Cetearyl that I think you said were good??

It feels great to have someone with the knowledge and willingness to share it and to help educate and empower consumers. I am learning so much about products, ingredients and formulations. I feel more confident when I go to the store and I see a product, the marketing claim and then I check the inky list and the price and I am confident I can make a purchase decision and to be honest most of the times the products are not worth the hype and the ingredients don’t match what the brand promises. Also I have learned that you can get good quality products like cerave at a good price tag so you don’t need to ruin yourself! 🤓

Please don’t fall to pressure from big brands, you are always respectful and your opinions are supported by data. These companies rely on customers ignorance to charge a lot for little quality. Do not be silenced we do need more education and information easily accessible for consumers. It is normal that some people get a bit upset at the beginning but the wheel will turn and companies will get on board and we will see better quality products as a result!

You are beautiful and you have lovely skin! My holy grail is sunscreen, but I'm happy to listen to someone who knows about what's good for brown skin. Cerave is a great line that I've been using and seeing results. Lots of our brown TH-camrs are promoting all the stuff they get for free so they don't care what's actually good for us brown people. Glad I’m starting to wear it at 17. The change is very minor. Only thing I noticed is my newer acne scars are lighter (no I don’t pick at my skin, it just scars no matter what if I have acne). My hope is I see the long term benefits as I grow old and people my age become wrinkly trying to reverse the damage while I’m still looking like I’m 20 30 something

Thank you for all your information. I’ve recently started using cera ve as menopause has started and is playing havoc with my skin. I am Burmese and have olive skin. These products have really worked in 4 weeks to reduce wrinkling, dryness and increased my skin elasticity- I look like my old self!!! Hi Dr Vanita. I suffer with eczema and on a video you said we shouldnt use soap. Please give me a suggestion on what to use to clean my skin with other than cold water. Ive began having ehite spots on my eczema patches because its not clean.
@@BeulahKuku I use uriage soothing cleansing oil (no fragrance, no soap). In case you want to try it. if you do want to try it be careful. There's two of their product that is very similar. One has fragrance the other doesn't. I think the product that just says uriage cleansing oil has fragrance. Good luck. Worked for me

Oh my goodness! I Love the Cerave brand, and use many of their products, particularly because they're fragrance free. However, I had NO idea that the Cerave AM moisturizer contains a CHEMICAL SPF 30. I'm going to go ditch it right now! Thank you Dr V for educating you especially

Please don't worry about the CEOs of these companies. Please carry on educating us and giving us your honest reviews. They should be more worried about correcting their products and also on their marketing. When they formulate the products for a certain skin color then they should market it accordingly too and be very clear about it.
What I like is the channel is not monetized so we can trust the advice and recommendations. It’s genuine advice.
Dr. V! I love you, I’m obsessed with you, you’re the only person that I trust with my face. I don’t follow anyone but you because influencers are not doctors and can’t be trusted sometimes. You’re coming from a true place of actually trying to help POC. You brought my Drunk Elephant bag from $600 to $150. I have a stable nightly facial routine because of you. I can’t thank you enough. I would love to know any Vitamin A (retinol) that you would recommend. The ordinary has been out since March of their Retinol and every other brand I see the percentage is always too high. I feel that’s the last things I’m missing. Love you always!
I want to add and say, please keep doing reviews even if you don’t like the products. I believe they should know that their products won’t help POC that they should change what they’re doing. They don’t have to right to write to you coming at you for them not making more products that will benefit POC it’s not your fault. I watch your videos over and over again because you learn so much. Thalia Edwards I use to live in Los Angeles and couldn’t get any there. Now I live in Texas and still can’t find any. Ulta doesn’t have it Sephora doesn’t have it either.

Canada and u just go online to deciem and order it and then fill it right th5ere when u are in line and they had the retinol0.2 and 0.5 percent I usually get my stuff from Sephora cause were I actually live they don’t have a store that sells he ordinary so try going to deciem instead of the ordinary website and u might find the product
My favourite is actually retinaldehyde as a vitamin a form as it is 20x as effective as retinol with zero irritation but it is extremely expensive which is why it is hard to find. I formulate with this ingredient. I will try and find you a decent vit a in the mean time🙏🏽
I loved it! CeraVe is one of the few brands that are more affordable and I can find in my country! But here we almost don’t have mineral sunscreens products, sadly

This product was introduced to me by a friend in America. As I have very dry skin I decided to go out and buy the CeRave Moisturising cream which I think is marvellous. Did think it was a bit expensive at £16.00 at Boots. Price has now dropped. I have been telling everyone about this product. So when `I saw your video I got excited and was thankful that you agreed that it is a very good product for people of colour. I have already purchased another couple of tubs which I got at a good price on Amazon. Thank you for confirming the it is a good buy. From what I can see (I could be completely wrong here) the moisturising cream you recommend has the exact same alcohol as ingredient as does the SA smoothing cream. It’s on the ingredient list, unless this is something that’s not on the ingredient details.

I started using Cerave recently since im now in my 40's had no idea it would be great for melananted skin. I'm using the hydrating cleanser and the skin renewing night cream. I hate the am facial moisturizing lotion with spf so im working on getting different products for am moisturizing. I also need help with lip moisture. Love the rest of my CeraVe products. I have oily skin and have used the Cerve foaming cleanser. For a product that contains so many moisturizers, it does leave my skin dry. I've used it off and on for several years but once I run out I'm going to look for something else.
