    In the past, my face looked dull. However, I managed to achieve radiant skin, free from pimples and dark spots, by adopting these practices. -:
    1. Ensuring I drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water every day.
    2. Eating carrots or drinking carrot juice every day.
    3. Applying Littlextra Ricebery face wash daily. It's made from black rice water, which offers 10 times more benefits for the skin compared to normal white rice water.
    4. Going to the gym and sweating like anything.
    5. Giving Steam to my face or entire body once every 20 days.

      I was searching for a facewash that does not make my skin dry, yet removes dirt from my skin... This litttlextra riceberrry is the one... It cleans away impurities and maintains moisture... Except, it doesn't produce a lot of foam while applying.

    • @hallyuniverse
      @hallyuniverse 4 ปีที่แล้ว +84

      They are cleansers, what she means is they're not meant to be used around the eyes so they can't truly "cleanse" your entire face (for removing eye makeup, sunscreen around your eyes, in a double cleanse, etc.) They are still cleansers, and have surfactants to remove oil and dirt so they will clean the parts of your face you use it on. The SA cleanser is almost identical to their foaming facial cleanser except it has the active ingredient of salicylic acid. You can also leave them on the face for a few minutes to get added benefits from the active ingredients (either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.) If they were not cleansers they would be marketed as masks. You can also use both as body washes.

    I've tried the hydrating cleanser and the foaming and didn't like either, the hydrating felt like it doesn't clean my slightly oily skin but the foaming is too stripping and makes my skin tight. This cleanser is PERFECT! Cleans my skin and leaves it feeling normal not dirty not dry. I also love using it as body wash so now I save space by using this for everything but hair wish I could use it for that too lol.

    i really like this cleanser in my double cleanse system. i’ve tried the foaming one from cerave and it broke me out in small tiny red bumps and the hydrating one was really nice but i didn’t feel like it was cleaning my skin properly. There is no such thing as "the go to youtuber for info", especially on more serious topics such as skin, health, etc. You should ALWAYS have different sources of info and don't take anything you hear on youtube as an absolute truth.

    • @Selsmittenxo
      @Selsmittenxo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      @@roscaandrei4913 good points. However, there are those that tout themselves as experts in the field when in fact they aren't. Nothing wrong with being the average consumer or retailer; it's just deceiving and people tend to have buyers remorse when they had a certain trust between themselves and the "beauty guru/specialist" etc. You are right in that there is a place for everyone, I just believe that transparency goes a long way in keeping things good between the advisor and consumer, so that people know what to expect and how much to take from what they're suggested. I'm not sure, if that's even a good idea. I would not let a cleanser with SA anywhere near my eyes, personally. Now granted, my eyes are extremely sensitive, but still...SA is irritating. And most products with SA explicitly state, to not use it near your eyes.
      I'd recommend using a product with SA in the morning and only applying it, where it's needed and doing a double cleanse with a different cleanser at night, to remove make up.

    I've been using this for about 2 weeks and have used the other 2 cleansers as well. I feel like it does what it intends- it marries the hydrating and foaming cleansers. I really like it (I have normal-oily skin that gets dryer in colder months). I always do a double cleanse and use this as my second step, so I don't have an issue with it not removing makeup.

    I have extremely sensitive skin. Redness, dryness, itchiness, burning sensation...I have it all. After trying a lot of cleansers and experimentation (including the Cerave foaming and the hydrating one) I found that combining the two at the same time works for me. But the amount I use is very important. I use just a pea size of Foaming and half a pea size of Hydrating, mix it in my palm and wash my face. If I use a normal pump of Foaming it dries my face and makes it red. Hope it helps.

    It's always surprising to me that people only use or want to use one cleanser for all occasions. I use the hydrating cleanser, or Cetaphil for days when I haven't put on any makeup. And I use a foaming cleanser for days when I'm taking my makeup off. It just seems obvious to me that different days call for different cleansers. And yet I personally don't know anyone who follows this. And then they're either complaining about dryness, or that it's too mild and doesn't take off makeup. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Wow, I've been using this cleanser for a good month, and I had no idea that is has SA. Kind of sneaky... you don't expect an active like that in a cleanser. So actually I was exposing my skin to an exfoliant daily, and then I was applying my retinoid. Good to know. Fortunately my skin is not that sensitive, but I guess it can trip some people up. Although maybe CeraVe knows what they're doing and the percentage is very low... but it being on the middle of the list would suggest otherwise.

    1. Eye makeup is best removed with an eye makeup remover in the first place.I would never expect my SKIN cleanser to take my eyeliner or mascara off.
    2. I tested the Cerave Hydrating Cream to Foam cleanser on a full face of makeup. The Cerave removed the makeup and it left my skin feeling soft and supple. Afterward, I used the cotton pad test to see if all of the makeup was removed; the cotton pad came away clean after one cleanse.
    3. I would not use this around the eyes if the manufacturer says not to, regardless of their reason.
    4. My experience with this product was great.
    Thanks for the explanations of the use of the other Cerave Cleansers. I like your videos. I just had a different experience with this cleanser than you did.

    An FYI for those on a budget, Walmart has their Equate versions of the hydrating and foaming versions of Cerave for less than $3.00. Imo they appear to work the same for my skin, not sure what Dr. Drays thoughts are on this.

    I have mature skin and I'm using this cleanser now. I do not like it. I am not double cleansing and my skin feels dry and tight when I use it. I use a lot of sunscreen during the day and I will have to re-start using the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser along will oil cleansing. When it gets in my eyes it burns bad, bad, bad.

So I switched to the hydrating cleanser and Vanicream and my skin loves this new combination!

    This is my go-to cleanser and I really like it. It feels hydrating enough (for something that doesn't stay on your face very long) and I like that it foams so that I get good coverage with the one pump. I've always had issues with non-foaming cleansers because it's so hard to tell if it's spreading around well enough without having to use a bunch of it. I also have very sensitive skin and my face tolerates this product very well. I rarely wear makeup now, but when I do I feel like it does an ok job of getting most of my non-waterproof mascara off the first time. Watching how Dr. Dray did it, I'm not shocked nothing came off, it seemed like she barely got the product on her lashes and didn't get much of a foam worked up. I've found that getting the foam lather worked into my eyelashes does a pretty good job, the hard part comes when the mascara gets smudged down onto my under-eye skin - that's harder to get off. I've only just recently started double-cleansing and though I haven't worn makeup yet for a double cleanse, it obviously won't matter anymore whether this CeraVe cleanser works for makeup removal.

      Agreed. The way she washed her face would’ve been appropriate if she wasn’t wearing any mascara. If you’re wearing mascara you have to spend more time going over your eyes and lashes even with just one cleanser imo

    Hmm maybe the SA is being used as a preservative in this case? If it were in a high enough concentration for treatment they would surely market it as so? Seems weird

    • @ColletteC2106

      @michaelsnow3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ColletteC2106 very interesting, I've heard about acids being used as preservatives a few times before but I don't think SA is commonly used in that sense. That would probably mean it's in such a low concentration that it won't yield any visible results.

    I use a face wash called Basis to take my makeup off. I takes everything off with one wash unless you wear a ton of makeup but you shouldn't need no more than 2 washes. I have been using it for 10 years! Best stuff ever! You can find it on Amazon, Target or Walgreens kind of hard to find in stores so I have to order online.
