This was a very informative video, Sadel. I was surprised at how long the update could take if you're doing all of the car's systems. Too bad Autel couldn't alert you to when a key cycle needs to be done with a honk of the horn, allowing you to work on something else without having to stop to check on the update process.
Yeah, some of the newer ones can take even way longer, and actually this is modeled pretty much dead on how the factory system would go about it, I remember when at the dealer having to deal with the same thing of having to keep coming back to the screen to make sure it wasn't waiting for a confirmation, so I am not sure if it would be possible to give off reminders like that through the Autel. Even with Support from Autel, we could not get it to get to the programming stage. The module was successfully coded, but once coded and what seems to be the end of the function on scan tool. The vehicle will start, but eventually die, and it sets a coding error.
So I have a 09 bmw 650i coupe I went through all this after a timing chain replacement I'm getting a 2a8e code for intake cam one tooth off code description says to update ram backup but code is still there .
Hi Sadel, Liked your videos! I have 2012 BMW x5 35d has corrosion in the ECM and was repaired. Technician is asking me to clone the ECM, apparently they are charging more. I have ista-p software, I want to know if i can do it from my own system instead of paying more $$. Thank you in advance for your reply.
so recently i bought an e60 535i i replaced all main modules. including ECU. the car runs just fine and goes into gear and everything but nothing works. no windows no i drive no wiper control no gauge . how do i go about doing this.
you would need the ethernet connector adapter, I show it in my other how to program bmw f-chassis video. A used transmission won't work by the way, you would need to clear the isn with an autel im608

Hey, ista P won't be able to do anything with a used module, it would have to be other tooling or to a provider that can do the clone service.
