There is absolutely no way you would stay in your seat at a Band Maid Concert.....saw them at House of Blues last year and they blew the roof off a sold out packed house !!!!!! The BEST concert I have ever been to !!!!!
I mean, if I got a table on the front of the balcony somewhere where there were people behind me, I'd stay seated. It would be DIFFICULT, but I want everybody to have a good a view as I do, if I can.
BTW, if anybody has problems standing for long periods, call the VENUE and ask if they have reserved seating options. They're an extra charge on top of a GA ticket, but generally they're up front on the balcony if the venue has one; you can sit (and should, for as long as you can); there's usually table service (good luck getting even somewhat back towards the front on the floor if you go to the bar partway through); and because it's reserved, you don't have to show up hours early to get a good spot - although waiting in line at a Band-Maid show is a good experience in itself 😊
Absolutely correct! I saw them in NYC and Detroit. Each time they owned the audience. Just amazing shows.
I was at that HoB show a few peeps deep on MISA'S side and you are correct. The Maids wearing the sunglasses given to them by Peter was so much fun to watch 🤙🏽

A song that is always a fun song for the band to play - ie, their smiles are even wider than usual! Akane wins the Happiest Drummer Of The Year most years.

I had the honor of seeing them last year in a 700 capacity club. No seats, but they wouldn’t have been used anyway. The Maid’s energy is infectious and charisma is off the charts. The crowd is nonstop, cheering, clapping, chanting and jumping. The happiest, nicest and most engaged people in the world.

When i saw them in ATL, general admission was standing room only. The only seats were upgrading to VIP, which gave you and your party seats in the balcony with a cocktail table and a beverage server passing through. This was an 1800 capacity theater.
The Maids performing one of their (two) most performed songs: Freedom and Real Existence. But the Maids in this MV are pure perfection, aren't they? I mean, what can you fault? And those faces... their attitude... their music... their playing... their story... and their joy! Band-Maid is a world treasure, imo! Thanks, Phil, for bringing the world's best hard rock band to your viewers!
When I saw Band Maid with my son back in August 23' general admission was standing only, that said there was a second tier sitting area that was available. I as well had a VIP entrance to get some *free swag* first dibs on merch and a close spot up front. Being 15 or so feet from Kanami was great 🤩😍🥰

Miku the rhythm guitarist, second lead vocalist, band founder, mighty small pigeon, usually mirrors/backs Saiki the Lead vocalist. Part of the unique sound of Band-Maid is just how thick the vocals actually are. If you pay attention you will notice that Miku is singing along with Saiki over 60% of the time. Once you train your ear to her voice, you can tell when she is and isn't singing with Saiki.
And I use a wheelchair, so while I can stand/walk, I can't stand or walk for long or far. When I saw the Ladies last year in Houston, I was in my chair right in front of MISA and that woman can PLAY the bejeebers out of a bass. However, the Ladies move around the stage constantly to give the audience the best show they can. And I even got a guitar pick from Miku.
To answer the question, I’ve been to 2 concerts, but I got general admission and did not have a seat or the desire to use one the entire time.
The four times I've seen Band-Maid live (in Japan) there were no seats! Bigger venues might have some, but the main crowd is always standing (the exception is funny enough where this song was recorded - Line Cube Shibuya - which is a theatre and the crowd was seated).
Sigh four times, this Aussie Maidiac can only dream at this stage. Onya Davey 🤗👍🍻🍻

I've seen them three times in US. There were only seats in the balcony for VIP tickets. The main floor was standing only, after standing two hours waiting for the door to open then another hour for the concert.
Kanami's guitar heroes are Larry Carlton and Carlos Santana.

Miku, the rhythm guitarist and we'll call her the Secondary vocalist was the one who started the process of putting the band together. The original plan was for her to be the lead vocalist but they determine they needed someone with a more powerful voice for the music they were playing and recruited Saiki. At first Miku did not know how to play guitar so had Kanami the lead guitarist teach her and the rest is history.
Been to a dozen or so shows, both here in the US and Japan. Here, it's best to be a paid fan club member to gain access to the VIP tixs so you can rush the "rail" for positioning in front of your special maid when they let you in 1st, and on a rare occasion assigned seats, i.e., Spokane WA. In Japan, it's either numbered tix's from 1 to eternity which allows you to gain access by the number, hence, charging for the "rail," or you get numbered seats, hoping for VIP seats. Festivals are just that, find VIP area or rush the "rail." All are lottery picks. Hope that helps, Po! 🦍🍌

I've been to two Band-Maid events - no seats. In Detroit at St. Andrews Hall I was three rows back from Kanami Tono and she is everything you see on video: an amazingly expressive guitarist. I was next to group of Argentinians who had flown in just to see Band-Maid and they were moshing like crazy. At the Sonic Temple fest in Ohio I three rows back from center stage and had my back to the mosh pit - I got jostled several times - and had several crowd surfers pass over my head. This was just two days before Band-Maid met Mike Einziger of Incubus at Pointe Fest in the Artist's Comfort Services Center.
The Maids will have you out of your seat during their entrance march!
I've seen these ladies live four times and no, I never even wanted to sit down, I was at or close to the front rail soaking up as much of the Band-Maid experience as I could! There is a name for early arrivers to Band-Maid shows, The Dawn Patrol, and the name is descriptive and accurate! For example, I got to the Phoenix show at 9:00am, (Showtime was 8:00pm), and I was 9th in line. At the Dallas House Of Blues show I got there about the same time and I was number 46, still with a 8:00pm show time. Believe me when I say these ladies are worth waiting for! As others have said, best shows I've ever been too, and I have been going to concerts since the very early 70's!
The lady with the guitar and singing (red rose) is Miku, the most important person in the band. She is the founder of the band. Previously in an idol band, now working in a Maid cafe in Tokyo in 2013, just decided that she wanted to form a band that played cool (rock) music. She found Kanimi (Lead guitar) on the internet as a singer/song writer. She occasionally used Akane (Drums) as a backing drummer and Akane knew Misa (Bass) from music school in Tokyo. After a few shows as a four piece Miku decided that her voice was not wrong enough for a rock band, so there agency recommended Saiki for lead vocals as she was already signed to them. Kanami then decided that she needed a rhythm guitarist to free her up at for solo work. Step forward Miku- who did not play guitar, but had to learn quickly and she did, and was credited as Vocals/Guitar on their first album Maid In Japan in 2014, after only a year of playing.
The guitar player who is singing is the Band Founder and Lyricist!! Oh, she's also the bands Spokes-Pigeon.

Nah.. M and M in LOVEBITES is much better in my opinion but Kanami is very tasteful. On the other hand it is very har to compare guitarists. HAL-CA in ASTERISM is out of this world guitarwise. The sisters in HAGANE really shines in the new EP Life Goes On! to keep up with Junna the drummer. BUT with that said. Kanami has her very unique style of playing and You can hear that it is she in an instant. That is lots of creds!
There is no such thing as best, there are just top tier musicians with different qualities. Kanami is for sure in my Olymp of greatest guitar player ever and my personal preference of the Japanese masters of the axe. I also disagree with daviddornberg above „much better“ much better in what? Complexity, Lyricism, Speed, Emotion, Kontext within the song/serve the song, accuracy, length & endurance, combination of different techniques, originality? There are only top tier players, the rest depends on the parameter you use for a rating: some prefer impressive athleticism where every millisecond counts, some prefer good literature that takes them on a journey and some can enjoy both and more than just one thing. What is for sure Kanami is very unique, on the tech/speed side I couldn’t do a ranking either M&M, Saki, Yuki, Sakura, Hal-Ca … difficult. Ok, long pray sorry, forget best, there is no such thing like THE best.
@@cholatse6745 You are right. But in my world M&M are better technique wise. They do every trick in the book and beyond. But they play metal and B-M are in my world a hardrock band, a damn good one. There are so many top tier guitarists nowadays. And agree as I wrote earlier..Kanami has an unique style of playing and that is rare nowadays.

I beg your pardon 😊 I come from the Jazz side and I did learn more than once, it needs much more than speed and technique - even if you need that too of course - to be truly a great player.

Yes I`ve been to two BAND-MAID shows , Freaking Amazing no one is sitting down , the Music is off the charts , the Ladies are Amazing down to earth , humble they love talking with the audience ,in the 2022 show Saiki n Kanami were teching some Japanese phrases to the audience , in the 2023 show , Miku was asking about the food in that area , we did find out that when the come to the States they have to eat at KFC , if you can find a video of Miku`s magic spell time watch it .
Band maid has 2 singers , miku is always backing psyche lead n harmonize with her , miku even has songs that she only sings , time , brightest star , rock in me , sayonkodori, if u really want to see the power of her voice check out cluppo ( side project) ,the song voice , nobody puts the pigeon in the corner po!
Never, but never ever, stop in the middle of a solo! There's a T-Shirt that reads, "Shut Up! Kanami Is Speaking". Enough said. But no, I never sat in a seat for a BAND-MAID concert. There were seats upstairs for the second one I went to. And I had planed to go up there, after they got started, just for that particular view. I never made it. I was riveted in place for the entire show.
Kanami decides to see what people are doing on the other side if the stage....
Akane was so happy!

I didn't go to that show, but the Ticketmaster VIP option only gets you early entry (with 100-200 others) and some swag. Seating options are always directly through the venue afaik.
